About
This 18-century traveler's inn, now a boutique hotel, is in Nîmes, hidden in a secret flowered garden. The hotel has an outdoor pool surrounded by a Mediterranean-style garden with olive, orange and palm trees as well as a marble fountain. Every air-conditioned room at the Jardins Secrets features a bathtub surrounded by a silk curtain, and the authentic bedrooms with original décor have a beautiful view of either the garden, swimming pool, or the cloister. A traditional cloister leads into the luxurious lounges, where guests can have a drink in the Napoleon III bar. During the winter guests can relax by the fireplace. At Source des Secrets Spa guests can indulge in beauty treatments. There is a shop available selling local products. Jardins Secrets is a peaceful and charming hideaway in the heart of the Roman city, with its famous Les Arènes amphitheater and La Maison Carrée monument.

Cons -
- I used the spa for an hour and realized upon check out that they charged me 100$ for this! No one told me that there was a charge before I signed up. I didn't have a treatment. Just used the sauna and pool.
- Breakfast: too little and too expensive
- The breakfast was quite limited, it would have been nice to have a wider range. All was delicious, we just missed more options.

Breakfast: too little and too expensive
Lovely rooms and a beautiful breakfast. You can have breakfast by the fire or in the little French kitchen. The spa is absolutely dreamy!
The hotel was a perfect get away. The location was great, walking distance to the city center, the hotel had parking which was great since we travelled by car. The hotel had an amazing ambience, beautiful indoor and outdoor areas. Felt like we travelled back in time. The staff was exceptional. Amina and Victoria were great help, very hospitable and always greeted us with a smile. The owner was on the location as well, he gave us tips about what else to see in Provence, very hospitable and warm.
The breakfast was quite limited, it would have been nice to have a wider range. All was delicious, we just missed more options.
Exceptional establishment with beautiful and elegantly appointed rooms each one decorated with style and charm. The interior and exterior are stunning, photos cannot do it justice as you have to be there to be soaked in the atmosphere of pure indulgence and beauty.
Quite expensive everything had a charge for example breakfast is 28 Euro per person but if added a boiled egg it is 10 Euro per boiled egg, ham etc, parking 35 Euro per night and pet 25 Euro per night, you will be served in the garden but counted as room service for instead of 18 Euro for cheese platter served just steps from breakfast area becomes 30 Euro. So you will get excellent service but there is a cost for every request. It’s a business after all.
I choose this hotel to celebrate my 28th birthday. Loved every corner of it. It was like I was living in the 18th century. Big thanks to Victoria and her colleagues for the cake and flower arrangement. It's an experience that I will never forget.
Nothing at all
Extremely well-appointed boutique hotel in an old house with beautiful antiques and gardens.
Bed lighting not conducive to reading.
A hidden gem in the Provence. The hotel is filled with large doses of authenticity and taste. The staff is wonderful and ablige to every question with a real smile. The owners share remarkable entertainment stories with their guests but keep the right distance as well. Breakfast and cuisine are a delight. Occasionally one can spot a celebrity staying at the hotel..
We stayed at the resort for a week. The owner and staff are wonderful. The place is amazing and allows you to be calm and peaceful along with being close to the city center.
This place is beautiful, welcoming, convenient - very special: please don't tell anyone! We loved our two night stay: arriving by train from Carcassonne, an easy walk from the station. Convenient for all the cultural, historical and tourist aspects of central Nimes; but ...... it was simply so delightful to have a slow late breakfast, enjoy the cool of the garden, sit listening to the birds; or ending the day with a well-chosen 'glass' in front of the log fire.We look forward to returning!
Everything about this accommodation was 'exceptional'. The most beautiful Property and the rooms simply gorgeous and luxurious. Beautiful, clean, very comfortable beds with the best linens and towels. The staff all were so kind, welcoming, friendly and so helpful with making dinner suggestions and reservations for us. The location was wonderful - so close to the 'Central Ville'. I truly felt like 'Royalty' staying here!!
Everything was wonderful and simply "perfect"!!! Thank You so much for making this visit so special for us.
Location and staff
Shower door didn’t close
Inspiring setting, like an old plantation house, a green oasis in an unexpected location. The staff and owners were extremely helpful and pleasant totals to, and we're looking after all of our needs.
Nothing really- maybe a few more choices on the room service menu.
garden and pool
low service. very expensive extras
The staff were very pleasant
The room was small. The safe wasn’t bolted to anything and therefore was of little use. There was absolutely no ventilation in the room. The price of room service etc was over the top. The room was noisy.
A truly exceptional hotel. Needless to say that the decor is one of a kind. Hard to believe when actually being there that this is a hotel and not a museum. But besides the splendor of the place, the staff was exceptionally helpful and professional. With ample experiences in "5 star hotels", I am not one to easily give such a glowing review, but this place truly deserves it.
It’s a unique and magnificent hotel. The gardens are extravagant and so beautiful. The staff is very supportive, friendly, and perfectly reading each wish from your eyes. Thank you so much.
Of course it is overpriced. We would have appreciated a breakfast included. It’s overstaying the guests gratitude to charge each piece of breakfast (eggs, ham, cheese) extra, given a basic price of euro 28 per person and breakfast. We are not particular and happy to pay a fair price for such an extraordinary hotel, but too much is too much.
This is a lovely boutique hotel, beautifully furnished. The staff were exceptional and there is a real family atmosphere. Lovely old fashioned china was used for coffee and drinks
The food was pretty average.Although the place is beautifully furnished it is dark and hard to see, even in your bedroom. Its expensive. Very. It was winter and we were the only guests staying so the main living rooms were unlit and cold.
The place is absolutely beautiful and rich with history. The staff is great, they are interested in their guests and helped us make our stay as good as possible. The spa treatments were excellent, we will definitely be returning to Jardins Secrets next time we're in Nimes!
Our only regret during our stay in Nimes was not spending more time at the hotel and enjoying the beautiful facilities even more. If I have to make a constructive comment, it would be on the size of the hot water tank - there could have been some more hot water / faster reheating.
