Hotel Majestic

Great location on a quiet street between the train station and roman arena. The staff were super friendly and helpful, they gave us a map and good suggestions for restaurants and happily stored our luggage after checkout so we could enjoy more time in town. The room felt new and clean, bed very comfortable. Everything was better than I expected at this price point.

Location

The floor in the room was the coldest floor of any hotel I have ever stayed. It was a cement slab with tile on top. Even when we got the room up to temperature the floor never was warm. We had to wear shoes when getting out of bed due to the the floor mirroring the outside temperature. An upper floor room may have been better.

Close walk to train station.

No bathroom ventilation. But windows can be open.

Beautiful safe and secure hotel. Lovely owners. Close to all attractions. Easy street parking. Comfortable room with nice bathroom and shower.

Good water pressure. Good hot water. Very large room with tall ceilings. Good breakfast with excellent scrambled eggs. We arrived too late to see the sites (just walked around town that night), they allowed us to store our luggage free while we checked out the collesium (a must see), the Tour Magne and gardens (also a must see), you can skip the Maison Carree. Exceptionally friendly people. You can buy water, sodas, beer, wine, etc at the hotel at reasonable prices.

More of a precaution for us Americans than a dislike. Europeans instinctively know. When you walk out of the hotel, your 2nd step puts you into the side street. Look for speeding cars before you step.

Ideal location near the train Station and beautiful Roman arena. Nice breakfast too.

This hotel is a short walk to the train station and central to sites. Not expensive either.

We had an extremely soft bed and the bathroom mirror was so low I could not see any part of my face unless I sat on a stool. No safe in room, not sure if it was advertised as having one or not.

Good location for us, near the train station, as we used Nimes to break our long train trip into two parts. This worked perfectly and the hotel, not fancy, met our needs and the price was right. We appreciated the relatively good lighting in the room.

The room felt a bit like a large college dorm room. As I said, not fancy. Small, but adequate bathroom, with no electrical outlet in it.

Good location, 5 min to train station, 4 minutes to Arena and museum

Very old-fashioned facility, not well looked after. Smell in the room, you could hear everything inside and outside the room. Dusty floor

The location was great! That is why we returned, close to the train station and the arena. It was very quiet except for an occasional very loud door slamming, which is somewhat common in Europe.

No screens on the windows to keep the mosquitos out. Microwave did not work, had to have it replaced and there was a broken faucet in the bathroom which was fixed on our last day. The owners need to keep up with the repairs to make this a come back to Hotel.

In a quiet very neighborhood close to the train station and easy walking distance to all sites and activities. The room was large, clean, bright with a comfortable bed. Huge bathroom and shower, room to hang towels. The breakfast was very good. Staff extremely helpful and accommodating.

The breakfast room was quite small and it was often difficult to find chairs to sit at the table when there were a lot of people. It was a festival weekend which may have impacted when people chose to have breakfast.

Great location and a good size room and bathroom. Very comfortable and easy communication with the hotel.

Nice location, perfect space. And the kids lives the arcade with games. Highly recommended

Full new renovation. It is so close to the station and the Arena. Walked in 10 mins. In very quiet side street. Brand spanking newly upgraded, stunning rooms and bathrooms. Soft classical music, fabulous breakfast buffet. Lots of info given by owners on good restaurants nearby.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was good, within walking distance of the center of Nimes and the train station, but it was a quiet street.

All was good. Very helpful and friendly staff. The only complaint was the shower curtain, wasn’t long enough so water escaped all over the bathroom floor. But that was only a minor issue.

Great location - very helpful staff. Extremely comfortable room.

Good breakfast. Try the scrambled eggs.Just 5 minutes from the train station but noise of the station does not reach hotel.
