    Pros +

    • Loved the overall look of the property it felt very warm and cozy especially now as it’s winter. The restaurant is fantastic and the service is phenomenal the staff are very attentive and the food is all created or sourced from the Masseria. We loved staying here, and the dogs on the property were the cherry on top.
    • Beautiful Masseria, stunning views! Helpful and kind staff, delicious breakfast
    • The grounds are amazing and the location is perfectly placed between Ostuni and Cisternino, and the staff (not the management) were very nice and welcoming. The pool is beautiful.

    Cons -

    • It’s really too bad, because this hotel is full of potential and beauty. But there were too many shortfalls. Most importantly, from the very first night and for the entire duration of our stay, we found more than 20 worms/centipedes in our room (on the walls mostly, but also in our clothes, bathrobes and above our bed…). We were told that rainy weather was the reason. However, they appeared even when it was sunny and dry out. Secondly, the maître d’hôtel at the restaurant was extremely unfair to us, as we ordered the smallest stake (1.3kg) and we were still brought a 1.7kg piece, which was at a completely different price point (250€ stake). Sure, it was really good but not what we had asked for and we felt kind of pressured into accepting it. Furthermore, we stayed at the masseria for a our honeymoon. We didn’t except anything free but at least a few kind gestures (maybe a bottle of prosecco or a box of chocolates) but nothing was done about it, even though we had told them in our booking. Lastly, like other reviews, it’s true that the breakfast can get boring after a few days, with no variety and no buffet (table service instead).Overall, this place has a lot going for it, but it’s ultimately hard to recommend at this time, at this price point.
    • everything was perfect!
    • The only thing we didn’t like was having to leave. Everything else was absolutely excellent! A special place we’ll always remember it. Also, if you love dogs, this place is absolutely perfect for you. We’ll never forget the Masseria's fur babies, and we hope to see them again soon!

A truly unforgettable experience. Worth every penny! The Masseria is truly one of a kind. A hidden gem that feels steeped in history, yet it offers a level of service and luxury that completely exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere is peaceful, authentic, and unlike anywhere else. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. The breakfast was fantastic.. fresh, local, and with a great mix of traditional organic options. You could tell everything was made with exceptional ingredients. The location is perfect, nestled in nature, giving you that tranquil, getaway feeling.

The whole stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. Francesco, Federica, the assistant GM were all very helpful and ensured we had a comfortable stay. They were also very responsive whenever we had questions. We took their cooking class which included learning how to make pasta, focaccia and taralli and it was thoroughly enjoyable! The sous chef was really nice and patient too! Breakfast was a wide spread and we were always stuffed after! The compound was really beautiful (both indoors and outdoors) and nice to walk around to explore and interact with cows, pigs and sheep. Their dogs Uma and Tom were real sweethearts. The room was very clean and it was a very comfortable stay!

An Unmissable Resort in PugliaDuring our trip to Puglia, we stumbled upon this Masseria by chance—a hidden gem, little known and truly authentic, far removed from the typical touristy and artificial offerings often encountered. We were mesmerized by the exceptional cuisine, the abundant organic breakfast, and our uniquely charming room, entirely crafted from original 15th-century stone. The atmosphere was nothing short of extraordinary, with a perfectly comfortable bed and top-tier amenities. The reception staff was always on hand, providing flawless assistance with every detail—from organizing flights and airport transfers to curating authentic experiences off the beaten path. This Masseria is the epitome of excellence: professional and attentive staff, outstanding cuisine, immaculate rooms, and meticulous attention to every detail. A place that embodies the true essence of Puglia and promises an unforgettable stay.

Really lovely staff that went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and offer recommendations for exploring the area. Beautiful grounds. Stunning pool but we came in the winter so we didn't use it. Not heated. Restaurant was good. Service was very nice. Dinner is basically US prices (160 euros for two with drinks). Breakfast was good, not amazing or abundant but that was fine, we don't need to indulge at every meal. You get a choice of a main (eggs, yogurt, etc) and some sweet pastries, a basic fruit plate, and bread for the table.

No hot water in the room, just warmish. Low water pressure in the shower. Walls are thin. We heard everything from the neighboring room. We reported the water issue and they said they fixed it but it was even colder day 2. There is no heat (or AC in the summer) in the bathroom area so it gets pretty chilly even with the heat running in the room. We stayed in the annex building (not the restaurant building).

The staff were very helpful and friendly and the pool area was very nice.

Our room on booking.com said it had a view of the garden and dining area but our room was dark and we only had two small windows and no access to outside which was really disappointing given we were effectively in the countryside with lots of space. There were also a few steps in bathroom that became very sloppy when wet.Breakfast was okay and coffee average but we had much nicer ones in our other hotels. Maybe we had been spoilt in our previous hotel in Lecce which was amazing.

The place is beautiful but the most important thing was the staff! We arrived late and they kept the restaurant open specially for us. The pool area is beautiful. Highly recommended

Beautiful grounds and great location. Very nice and artistic decor. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh, and Sabrina always met us with a smile. Fantastic pool area. Great place to relax and perfect base to explore the region. Super close to beautiful Ostuni; beaches are not far either.

In general, we missed a sense of the personal touch / connection and lack of urgency to some issues in the room (e.g. with warm water, air conditioning). Nevertheless, a beautiful place and overall, the experience was good.

swimming pool! area is lovely, really great service

AC in the room was so and so (think that's why they put a 2nd machine, but still was not behaving properly).

The staff really made our stay. They were super super accommodating, very generous with their time and always happy to help! The pool is stunning and the rooms are very spacious, the breakfast was lovely and we had a massage that was done really well. Special shout out to Federica and Giuseppe at reception and Nick who was extremely helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

Fabulous Masseria with amazing food, everything that is served is produced on the farmland of the Masseria or within a small radius of the property. Beautiful rural setting, with a passion for sustainability and renewable energy - the stunning pool is purified using ozone treatments rather than any chemicals. The staff are also fabulous, particularly; Cosimo,Flavia,Cerise, Samanda, Dev and Nick. We'd also like to thank Cosimo the owner for showing us around his gorgeous property and discussing his vision for the Masseria sustainability and the future plans. We can't wait to come back and stay again!

This masseria is an oasis of rest and tranquility. It resides 5 km outside Ostuni, which is one of the many great authentic and historic villages to visit in Puglia. The masseria is nicely located in the countryside and biological orientated. I loved specifically the large sweet water pool without chlorine (ozon regulated) and the ambiance and the very kind staff and (biological, real taste) food from the garden.

Nothing to mention, though the bed in our room was not the most comfortable

We had the most incredible time at the Masseria. Everything was perfect from the moment you walk in. We were greeted with welcome wines (or whatever drink you wanted), taken for a tour around the property whilst being told about the history and exquisite making of the Masseria. All the food was organic from their garden and the pool is totally fresh water filtered. We will definitely be back here, what a fantastic experience!

Overall impression was one of casual comfort and sophistication. Staff were excellent - friendly and attentive.

A bit fussy. For example, pool towels were more decorative than water absorbent; dining room pleasant but too formal for our tastes; dinner menu had no vegan options or even vegetarian. Simplify the experience.

    9AdrianaPosted on: 10-9-2023

    The property was beautiful.

The 2 things I didn’t like were the chairs for supper were uncomfortable and the cushion for the long chairs were old and uncomfortable I had to triple them .
