About

Masseria Cervarolo provides unique accommodations in both the main building and in characteristic Apulian trulli, stone buildings of the 16th century. The farm offers free parking and free WiFi, and is on a hill 4.3 mi from Ostuni. The Masseria's grounds include an outdoor swimming pool and an ancient chapel. All rooms at the Cervarolo are uniquely furnished with antique and hand-made furniture, and equipped with air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. Some are located in the trulli. Masseria Cervarolo is just off the SP14 road, between Ostuni and Martina Franca. The nearest beach is 9.9 mi away.

    Pros +

    • Clean, charming location. Nice restaurant and the restaurant manager was lovely! Pool looked nice but very cold (in October :) )
    • This a wonderful 'farm hotel' set in the countryside of Puglia. The grounds are immaculately kept and room was spacious, clean and comfortable but definitely kept in the farmhouse theme. The restaurant and their head cook was an absolute gem.
    • The staff was wonderful, and even accommodated our request for a change in furniture in our room! Sabine and Alfonso were standouts and very excited and interested in their work. Giovanna and Piero who provided wellness treatments were also fantastic. The living room and public areas were fantastic and enjoyable. We traveled in October and did not have the opportunity to enjoy the pool, but the landscape was fantastic and we hope to return in warmer weather. The chapel was beautiful, and it was a wonderful place to reflect and have calm.

    Cons -

    • There was no AC and it was quite hot (even in October). It rained and was very humid in the room. Also, at nearly $---/night, seems a bit cheap to charge 1 euro to make a cup of tea or coffee in the sharing common area.
    • The decorations in the room were a bit spartan but aligned with their theme. There was also some community noise that could awake one early. Nonetheless, a fantastic place that I can highly recommend!
    • There wasn’t anything that we didn’t really like, but we do have a few suggestions. 1. The dinner option is quite interesting, however, we found that 730 was too late for us because we would not have finished eating until at least 9 PM which is a bit late. 2. Would be fantastic if there were extended walking areas /trails around the property.

The main server/ person who was running the dinner service was absolutely terrific! HE made are stay wonderful. He helped us with wine and handled two parents traveling with young children very well. He was very accommodative and understanding. Most importantly he made us feel welcomed!

One person at the front desk was absolutely wonderful and very helpful with providing recommendations that fit our needs. There was another person who was less helpful in providing guidance/ recommendations.

Property was beautiful and staff super friendly. Dinners were delicious and wine recommendations were perfect. Easy drives to Otsuni and beautiful countryside. Didn't use the pool but looked clean and well maintained. Would stay here again.

Bathroom was small but wasn't a big deal.

Staff was very kind, location was gorgeous, room was spacious and comfortable. We were in offseason, so pool wasn't usable, but the pool looked very nice. Facilities for breakfast were very charming.

    No real issues.

Most friendly personel and owner. We had the surprise of an upgrade to a "trullo room" which was lovely. Thank you very much to all, specially to Lucia!! You made a dream come true, to sleep in a trullo. Very good breakfast and at dinner, Alfonso was very friendly and helpful with the wine selection. We tried excellent wines from Puglia. The property is beautiful and very well kept. Unfortunately we had rainy days and couldn't enjoy the gardens. The living room areas are very nice/chic and the "Honesty bar" is cosy and a grat idea! We look forward to come back, hoping for better weather.

We enjoyed our stay in Cervarolo very much. The property with historic buildings and a huge pool in a garden is marvelous. Remote enough to be tranquil, yet close to wonderful Ostuni and other must sees in Puglia. Our room was spacious and had a lovely terrace. The food at Cervarolo is excellent. Dinners in an open restaurant are fun and Alfonso knows everything about the local wines that are served exclusively. We also loved lunch by the pool. Everyone who works here is dedicated. friendly and professional.

Beautiful, unique Masseria in a great location with amazing hosts. The rooms are all designed differently and very cozy. Great place for couples and families alike. We stayed for 5 nights and had two dinners at the Masseria, which was great as well. We also participated in a cooking class, which was fun. The location is also great to explore various little towns around it. We will be back!

Beautifully located in the Itria Valley countryside, a wonderful farm estate tastefully restored with comfort and charm. Our room was in the old sixteenth century building with sandstone walls and vaulted ceilings. Just lovely. Breakfast was a fantastic spread of local products. We also enjoyed an excellent vegetarian menu in the restaurant.

Nothing, it was perfect. Just be aware you need a car to get to the property and are 20 minutes drive from the nearest town

Facilities and nature around accommodation are beautiful. We had dinner and that is really recommended. Food is all fresh and service is wonderful. Every course is delicious and the wines that come with it are explained very well.

this is a beautiful property with excellent staff. It’s a great location for exploring central Puglia. It has a beautiful pool that we were not able to use because of the cooler weather but I imagine the summer. It’s really busy.

Great boutique hotel with beautiful rooms and outdoor area.

    9ilariaPosted on: 4-3-2025

The property is beautiful, with lovely grounds, friendly staff, and a delicious breakfast. Our room was charming and featured a nice terrace, but the steep stairs made it unsuitable for those with mobility issues. If you have difficulty with stairs, we recommend booking a ground-level room. We especially enjoyed the cozy living room and tea room, where complimentary tea and coffee were available. The pool is stunning, though it was too cold to use during our stay

We prefer a light, early dinner, so we weren’t thrilled that the only dinner option was a €50 tasting menu (excluding drinks) at 8 PM. Additionally, there were no food options available between 6:30 PM and 8 PM.

Masseria Cervarolo was one of the best stays we’ve ever had. The Masseria and our gorgeous Trulli room were so well appointed, tasteful, and exuded a homey luxury. The provided breakfast was excellent and their dinner service highlighted local food. And it was a perfect location to explore the beauty of the Valle d’Itria.

Beautiful Masseria and grounds.Great location - 15 mins drive to Ostuni.Lovely room and very comfortable bed.Staff were very friendly and helpful.Dinner and wine pairing fantastic.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing, not a lot of choice if you don't want to eat meat, cheese or cake for breakfast. It would be good if you could order some hot items such as eggs, omelettes, pancakes etc.

Beautifully converted farm complex. Staff were fabulous including staying up for our late check in after our flight was delayed (and being nothing but gracious about it). Food, including dinner tasting menu was delicious. Recommended local walking routes (although without a car getting around would be challenging). Loved the honesty bar.

Authenic experience, great recommendations on must do things in the region.

Only option to eat was the set menu which was great but too much food.

    10JaynePosted on: 10-14-2024

Beautiful from start to finish. Decor was exceptional.Wonderful setting, very peaceful and tranquil.Lovely staff who were very helpful throughout. It epitomises everything we hoped for a Puglian experience and we will definitely return one day. Also a great restaurant with a tasting experience of local specialties and knowledgeable staff with the wines. Amazing ?
