- We got a suite. It was a nice room. The bathroom was excellent, with a very modern push button rain shower and integrated bath. Good to have a coffee machine and a comfortable bedroom.
- Central location. Nice breakfast.
- Great location, city centre! very handy for parking. nice bed and great shower.
Cons -
- The WiFi was not good in our room. This is probably the most urgent thing to fix. I was impressed with the helpfulness and friendliness of the reception staff, but I found the lady serving in the bar unsmiling and short with customers.
- Bed could be bigger.
- couldnt turn down the room temperature, it was like an oven. Parking expensive

Pleasant
The parking down 2 floors is extremely tight to get round bends despite having a normal size car.The waitresses at the bar were not in a very good mood and a touch impolite....
Location was good - main hotel has been updated - but rooms were 'dated' - and although basically clean - you can only clean a carpet so may times!
The headboard 'banged' against the wall with any movement. There was a lot of noise from the adjoining room (may not have been part of hotel) - banging and drilling noise late at night!
We had a spacious room with good bathroom facilities, although we felt the lighting could have been better (rather dark). The hotel is well situated for the old town of Zaragoza and the reception staff were friendly.
The New Year’s Eve dinner/event was poor. The communication from the central team ahead of the event was abysmal, we had to make countless emails and calls to get a confirmation. The event itself was overpriced and underwhelming.
Handily placed for excursions into the city and facilities and service you would expect in a top hotel. The room was very comfortable, we were very satisfied with our stay.
The room was too hot and we were unable to reduce the heat output. A member of staff said she had reduced the temperature but the slight discomfort was not eliminated.
Nice hotel with parking space..walkable to the attractions like stone bridge..comfortable room and beds..
The sofa bed was not comfortable
Location
The staff was extremely rude. At check in, with my kids standing right next to me, I asked how much breakfast was for adults and kids, they said my kids would eat for free, and they would only charge me for the adult breakfast. They did not ask me about the kids' ages. At check out, they charged me full adult prices for the kids' breakfast for the total number of days we stayed. As I enquired about this bill, the staff was so rude and accused me of "stealing" he was practically shouting at me infront of all the other guest, not giving me a chance to explain to him my side of the story. I was more than willing to pay, and as I put the money on the counter, insisting I would pay, he shoved the money on the floor and said he won't accept it, and "they know", that I'm stealing from them. This was so humiliating, and I left in tears.I would never recommend anyone staying at this hotel.
Excellent 5 star hotel. Absolutely immaculate and friendly . Room was superb with a lovely sofa to sit on. Cozy bar and lounge in reception. Excellent price for wines . It's in a great location for shopping and restaurants. Staff very welcoming .
Everything was spot on couldn't fault anything
Lovers hotel in a good position, had a lot of trouble getting in and out of the underground parking.
It was a very nice hotel and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful
Everything was great.
Location is heart of the city. Very clean and comfy rooms.
Breakfast may be richer
Location & the whole ambience with extremely friendly staff. Bedrooms were exceptional!!
Great customer service, very friendly and welcoming
5 Star hotel until you get to your room. Very very tired rooms. Sticky tape holding up furnishings! Threadbare carpets and old fashioned decor that is in need of updating. We were told we were given an upgrade, would hate to imagine what the original room would have been like.
What a gorgeous hotel! We had a beautifully decorated room-we felt like royalty! The room was quiet and very well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the linens were high quality. The staff were exceptionally helpful and so nice. The bar was attractive with good staff. It was about a 10 minute walk to the old town. We loved the hotel!
I think the size of the room was excellent, it was very spacious and I loved the sitting area. It was nice not to feel crammed into a little room with our suitcases. The bathroom also was great, it was modern and roomy - I loved the large sink. The location was also excellent, it's walkable to the Pilar and other places of interest, and close to transportation options like the tram and buses. We ate at their restaurant on our last night and it was pretty good, the server was awesome.
For me, this wasn't a 5-star hotel. The lobby area is beautiful but the rooms are dated and could use some revamping, you could see the lamps and other things were worn down. In our room, the AC unit was broke and even after they sent someone to fix it, it still didn't work (the fan was on but it wouldn't cool the room). Thankfully the room had windows you could open so we had those open the whole time, as it got too hot in the room. The only downside was a stench from the sewer would fill the room so we'd have to close it. One of the lights in the bathroom wouldn't turn off so we slept with that on the first night, but they did fix that promptly, which was great. The phone in the room didn't work and the interface was worn down and a little gross. The shortcut buttons to call reception or room service didn't work, so you had to hunt for those numbers. Also, the staff were not as friendly as you would expect at a 5-star hotel, if you've had excellent customer service you know what I mean. The guy who ran the bar seemed like he didn't want to be there and was always in his little room behind the bar. I will say the server at their restaurant and the lady who brought up the food for room service our first night were amazing, everyone else seemed like they didn't want to be there lol. The other slightly alarming thing is that anyone can come up to your floor, you don't need a key to use the elevators. Overall it was a comfortable stay, and the location was excellent, I just wouldn't rate it 5 stars.
Friendly staff. Hotel felt old but elegant.
Gave us a suite upgrade
Good location. Very comfortable bed. Thick towels. Bathroom spacious. Lobby is lovely.
Decor is dated. Floor is basically concrete covered with thin layer of carpet with no underlay so extremely hard. Key didn't always work and had to try numerous times. No security so anyone can walk in off the street and use the elevators to get to the rooms. Chair at the desk had no padding and furniture wasn't that consortia and too much in the room. It's listed as 5 starts but isn't.
Ten minutes walking from the historic center, palafox hotel is very clean, big rooms and a genuine staff. Breakfast Is fantastic.
Five star hotel, one star wifi. The only bad thing.
