- The decor was stunning, especially in the main hall. The painting above the bed was also very impressive. It was clean & comfortable.
- Large comfortable room. Good breakfast. Helpful and pleasant staff
- Staff very good , location good
Cons -
- There was noise ALL night from people in the street below where the bars are open all night. Hence we didn’t get much sleep
- Very dated and beds uncomfortable
- The beds were uncomfortable and the whole property looks a little tired and ready for a refurbish. The breakfast was very poor, the hot water in the machine had a nasty taste so I couldn’t drink my tea, therefore I decided to have hot chocolate but the milk was only slightly warm and the chocolate powder wouldn’t mix. Not a good selection of food either.

Staff very good , location good
Very dated and beds uncomfortable
This is an old world style of hotel with solid doors and manual doors on the lifts. I found it and the staff charming, and its location in the old city and proximity to the Plaza de Espana was outstanding.
The location was good and the entrance and breakfast area was good

Hotel location was brilliant very close to shops and lively bars and restaurants
Coming home to crappy England......
The a/c in the bedrooms was turned off because "the winter" had arrived. Our bedroom was hot, with only small window that we openned to increase ventilation but the noise from the construction next door forced us to close the window.
The room was on the small side but the bed was comfy and there was a mini fridge and coffee machine. We liked the Goya pictures on the walls. The location was great - just inside the old town. Although the shower room looked tired, the shower was better than it looked.
Breakfast on Sunday morning was good but on Monday morning just after 8am the spread was very depleted and the staff were extremely slow to top things up.
Big room. Very luxurious bed. Good breakfast included.
Building site outside the window. Very noisy till 1800
Very complete room, good ubication and the decoration
It’s an old hotel and you appreciate that in things like the moquettes, you need to take the stairs to go to the elevator, …
It perfectly placed near the city center. Yes it’s old but it has a charm to it. I was lucky to get a room on the sixth floor with a huuuuuuge terrace that has a great view over the roof tops. Definitely would stay again!!
The bathroom was ok but it could use a spruce up
Location… almost perfect for anything
BED was lumpy and hard… pillows; we had to ask for two more, either too old or just worn out….can hear EVERYTHING in the hallways or adjacent rooms….
Good location, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the old town, right in the city centre. Parking was easy - although the car park was full, there were two large underground car parks less than 5 minutes’ walk away which were 5 euros a day cheaper than the hotel. (To be fair, the hotel car park had a security guard at the entrance.)
Nothing that we didn’t like, but the breakfast was only ok - better breakfasts in the other hotels we stayed at in Spain. We had breakfast included in our package but if we hadn’t I wouldn’t say the breakfast is worth the 12 euro charge.
Location is okay
Roma are awful, bed are very uncomfortable, breakfast is very poor. Price / quality is not adecúate.
The room was very spacious and the hotel very centric. The staff was very helpful.
I could hear the noises from the street at all times.
Not a bad location.
We could hear the women in the room next door and they were noisy until about 2AM. The air conditioning was marginal if not bad. We changed rooms because the AC did not work, but the new room was not much better. The breakfast was poor, not worth it.

Bed is hard
Great location, very convenient close to tram line and the taxis.
The breakfast was not great, very little options and not good in general. There is some construction going on during the day which doesn’t let you rest. It’s very loud.
Welcoming and helpful staff.Nice location, lots of bars/restaurants nearby.Rooms were nice and comfy.Secure parking for motorcycles. The interior of the hotel is very grand, but extremely quiet. Did remind me of the Overlook Hotel from the Shining without the wacky carpet…..but I was able to checkout
Nothing really.
Well located
It was dowdy. My room had a tatty plastic blind over the window to hide the sight of the building site opposite On checking out the receptionist insisted that I hadn’t paid for parking when I had. Was really quite rude then admitted her mistake when I showed her the bill. Sloppy
