- This was the hotel experience of my dreams. The room was gorgeous, and as I got the "economy" room I expected it to be much smaller. It was spacious, cozy, and the historical building was beautiful. All the staff were very kind and dealt with my very mediocre Italian very well. I also did an hour at the spa which I highly recommend. Absolutely on my list to get back here and couldn't recommend more. The town is lovely and this location was very easy to get to all of it from. Oh, and I also thought the included breakfast was delightful - was even able to request certain dishes like omelets and eggs and had an amazing pastry I'm still trying to figure out what it was. So, if you can't tell, I thought it was truly an exceptional place.
- Extremely beautiful! Next to a gorgeous church, courtyard, park, fabulous restaurant, had my best meal in Italy twice! Had a fantastic spa and a WONDERFUL MASSAGE.
- Centrally located

- Really thought it was wonderful!
- The wifi needs to be improved. My room was on the 3rd floor and the wifi reception was poor.
- Upgrading sheets, mattresses, pillows would be a wonderful addition.

The hotel itself, the rooms, the view
All was nice
The place is clean and well managed. The staff is incredibly helpful all of the time. They arranged transportation to a party we attended at a hard to find Masseria.
Lots are of stairs which is a problem for anyone with knee problems. Some rooms require a big climb and others less so. Maybe there are “easier” rooms but I suspect not. Our room was on the small side bit ok.The hotel is in the old city where non resident cars cannot enter. However, with proper registration through the hotel, you can enter through the restricted gate to ALMOST reach the hotel. You can leave your car at the square (piazza conciliazione) and take your luggage to the hotel and then move your car to parking outside of the control zone.Parking is a major hassle and if your have a car you should reserve one of the LIMITED parking spaces for $10 euros a day. We planned it out in advance and it was a significant enough headache that we never moved the car until check out. Maybe we are too chicken; others managed but those who arrived neither no preplanned parking were VERY UNHAPPY.
Hotel in old town is good location. Room was dated and a bit dark but its an old historic castle! Breakfast was ok. They ran short on food and seemed not to have enough staff— but the staff that was there were always pleasant and helpful!! I would t rate it 4 star and IDK. … it could be the best there is in Conversano!!
Amazing location and the hotel itself. Ancient building preserved in al its grace. You really feel the heart of the town. Fantastic views from the rooms and from the rooftop restaurant. You couldn't be more central. Quality of the food in the restaurant is quite good. Good quality of linen and clean. The bathrooms are ridiculously small and quite old. Despite good work of cleaning team, you really feel that everything has to be changed (tiles, showers, toilets), it's unpleasant to be in such old bathroom that doesn't correspond modern standards. Almost no light in the bathroom which makes it really gloomy. The beds are very used. The bed linen are very clean and of good quality, but the bed itself really has to be changed. The waiters of the restaurant are friendly but really unprofessional (slow, forgetting, not knowing how to open the wine bottles) and the restaurant is really understaffed.
Location is very good - in the old town, easy to find, even by car. Nicely renovated old building with a lot of charm. You are practically in the heart of the old town of Conversano.
Parking can be a fuss. It is possible to park at a nearby gas station, if you find a place but this is not a nice option.Otherwise - paid parking on the street. There is one parling spot for the hotel at EUR10/day, but we didn't use it.Beds - not very comfy.I confirm that the room had all mentioned amenitis but it had nothing to do with the pictures. Sitting area was a corridor with two chairs - disappointment.Another dissapointment is that we couldn't use the SPA - it was reserved for the whole period of our stay which was very strange as there weren't any other people in the hotel during two of the three days (and it is supposed that hotel guests use it with advangate). In the last day they told us that all reservations for the spa were being cancelled as the water was cold (?!) - is this a spa hotel we really could not understand and this was one of the reasons to book it in the first place.
room was small but clean, the views from the top floors are beautiful. The staff was nice and available. The breakfast was a decent buffet plus some à la carte stuff made to order. Parking isn't far and the surrounding town is great.
Everything felt old. the bathroom was so tiny and old. in a 4 people bedroom it didn't have a key. no drinks cabinet, some amenities like the pool and spa were to be booked and paid for so a little disappointing there. Also not soundproof, youc ould hear other guests talking.
The room was beautiful & spacious, especially for Italy, where most rooms are small. The bathroom was also spacious, with two sinks. The breakfast was excellent, with both cold food available & hot food made to order. It was served on the in a bright area on the top floor with nice views. The hotel staff were wonderful! They were very helpful to us when our train was canceled & we needed to stay another night.
I can’t think of a thing.
The overall feel and location was good. The bed was comfortable and the staff were nice enough. Very clean room
Breakfast was not as good as it should be. Pathetic pancakes. Terrible coffee machine. Things you couldn’t recognise The room was dark and gloomy. Very noisy each morning around 5.30am with deliveries or staff coming in for breakfast shift. Had to wear earplugs.
A beautiful property. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast staff were very stressed and far too busy. There was building work going on next to our room which started at 7am. This was far too early and woke us up. They stopped about 8am and restarted again later. A later start would have been very much appreciated.
Fantastic location in the heart of the old town. Very sympathetic restoration of old building. Good breakfast choice. Air conditioning much appreciated given outside temperatures of over 35 Celsius. Our visit coincided with a music festival which added to the atmosphere.
Steep stairs. Balcony in superior room rather disappointing at little more than one metre square and only separated from next room by low fencing thereby affording no privacy.
Great location, lovely old building
Very noisy from next door, not all walls were stoneOur room was near the restaurant, so strong cooking smells when you came outVery firm/hard mattressBathroom was a little dated
The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Brilliant location.
Air conditioning not easy to use.
Historic, clean and authentically preserved
Really noisy especially late in the evening past 10am. I spoke to front desk person and she said it is because residents live on the property as well
Beautiful medieval atmosphere, great location.
Little bit complicated parking, Spa only for extra cost. Breakfast could have been better. Bathroom quality.
Perfectly situated in the centre of the old town, opposite the main church. The labyrinth of staircases and rooms reflects the age of the palace. Sensitively renovated and kept.
The location was ideal. Our rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was a most pleasant experience. The staff were very helpful - a special mention to Francesco, who was always willing to assist with any query. The hotel was a welcome cooling respite from the scorching midday heat! Made us wish we could have stayed at the hotel longer.
Nothing of note.
