Hotel Miķelis

Peaceful location. Nice restaurant and beautiful grounds.

Couldn’t control the temperature in the room.

Modernity and down to earth in the middle of nowhere. The restaurant was set up nicely. It is possible to have a walk in the vicinity of the hotel and see the beautiful river. Reception and restaurant is in another building - nice reason to have fresh air. The presence of old houses, which are part of the museum, and are on the grounds of the hotel gives the place a special charm.

Sounds coming from the top of the room because of the soft rubber/plastic ceiling, no idea what was happening there. Quite thin walls as could hear neighbors very well. The rucola salad in the restaurant would have needed better drying of the rucola. The young lady at the reception during the check-out was not in her best mood.

Exceptionally clean, comfortable and welcoming facilities. Some of the rooms offer a nice view to a nearby pond. One can observe many different birds on the property grounds. The collection of exclusive antique cars was awesome. Our tour guide Ramonas was exceptional, a walking wikipedia.

Didn't know that we could have pre order a sauna session. Perhaps, didn't read amenities description carefully

Spacious room and bathroom with a pretty view of the pond. You can eat breakfast inside or outside which is also very lovely. The choices are delicious and the staff is nice. Great playground for the kids with the museum in the territory.

It was our second time when we were staying at hotel Mikelis. We like nature and calmness.

In the number you dont have fridge and electric kettle. As we are traveling with the family, for us it is important.

All our stay was wonderful. Very nice and new hotel. Very good view. Tasteful kitchen. Very good service. Open air museum and museum of the old cars on the same site.

Nice place in a convenient location. Spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Even the day was cold, the temperature in the room and in the bathroom was pleasantly warm. Very good breakfast. The restaurant in the main building was a great option to dine on a cold and rainy evening. The museum of old cars was worth visiting too (at extra cost).

The pillow was hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. TV was difficult to operate.

Super friendly staff at the restaurant. Interesting location not far from main road around Bauska. Lots of space, nice view to the field. Old village houses with all stuff inside like a national museum at the same location. Tractors and car collection (i think cars museum at extra cost). Great with kids, as they have a lot of space to go around. Nice restaurant for a meal. A bit basic breakfast, but just enough.

Navigation led us via country road without pavement, but there is a normal road also, so check how you go in advance.

Miķelis is probably my favorite hotel in Latvia. Great service, great rooms. Safe, well organized with stuff to do around the premises (restaurant, old car exposition, historical buildings).Warm and clean.Family friendly.Great view at a small nearby pond.The staff takes real good care of the hotel and its surroundings. It shows.One of the few hotels I'd give more than 10 if I could.

Honestly, I don't know. Would have to be extremely nit-picky to find something.

Very nice and cute hotel on the edge of a small Latvian town between fields. Guests stay in a cottage with separate rooms, which has large rooms and a very large and nice bathroom. The beds are soft, the pillow was a little hard. Breakfast as usual. The car museum next door is great for car fans to get to know vintage cars. And of course, helpful staff.

Remote and relaxing. Staff were friendly.

Walls are thin, bed wasn’t great

Nice surroundings, good and new rooms, recommended to eat in the restaurant, breakfast was with big veraiety and delicious.In general a nice place for families.Best value for money in this region I would say it's 4 stars hotel.

Beautiful peaceful setting. New and clean. Great restaurant. I couldn’t get to breakfast because I had to leave early, but they were so kind to make a delicious to go breakfast for me and my family.

The beds were too firm for our comfort, though many may prefer a firmer mattress.

Breakfast-two options to be chosen from few offered. Just perfectly enough for me. The location: for me extraordinary, close enough to Riga to get for morning appointment, giving a piece of relief far from industrial surroundings with a kind nature touch.

Instruction for operating temperature control panel would help.
