Forte Rose Hotel

The breakfast food was excellent and plentiful but the service other than Mr Milo’s was terrible. Very surly staff. Mr. Milos however was exceptionally nice and provided great service.

Some staff make you feel like an imposition. The food at the restaurant is good but some wait staff are rude and provided terrible service. You could not order wine by the glass, only by the bottle and the cheapest bottle is €80. You are not permitted to bring in any outside food or drinks and the owner sculks around checking. The setting is beautiful and the beaches are nice but I felt uncomfortable there. You have to pay for lounge chairs at the beach €20 for a pair but as a guest of the hotel it should be included. The pool was small and filled with kids. The water smelled heavily of chlorine. I can’t recommend this hotel other than the setting is beautiful. You’d be much better off renting a waterfront apartment.

Amazing hotel, where you can feel history and enjoy in the beautiful view (landscape and sea), stone villas and amazing food in hotel restaurant. Our apartment was great in the front raw just above the crystal clear sea. Manager Dusan was very proactive and he made sure that everything during our stay went smooth.Few minutes from the hotel is very nice beach with white small rocks where we enjoyed with our kids.

Paying for sunbeds on their beaches, not so clean sunbeds

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat without the hustle of crowds, traffic, or noise, Forte Rose is the perfect place for you. This hidden gem on the Montenegrin coast offers beautifully preserved architecture, lush greenery, and even century-old trees surrounding the area, creating a truly unique and tranquil atmosphere.The village Rose, itself has just a few houses, and while the road to get here can be a bit challenging and long, it's absolutely worth it once you arrive.The staff makes you feel like home, remembering your name and preferences from the moment you arrive. Even at the start of the season when the hotel was quiet, the service was impeccable. Special shoutouts to Victoria and Dušan at the reception, waiters as well as Milan at the beach for their wonderful hospitality.The hotel offers multiple beach options: a tiny sandy beach just below the restaurant that feels almost private, a built-in area in the sea with sun beds, and a larger beach with a beach bar just a short walk away. Although the larger beach wasn’t fully open during our stay, the smaller beach was absolutely amazing.Overall, if you’re seeking a breathtaking, restful experience with the option to explore nearby towns, Forte Rose is the place to be. We’ll definitely be coming back!"

A couple of minor downsides: there aren’t any sun beds by the pool, which would make a big difference, and in the restaurant, you can only order a bottle of wine rather than just a glass, which might not be ideal for everyone.

Rooms doesn’t have a safe and a mini fridge. Breakfast can be more diverse.

The staff is truly wonderful and friendly. They are available to help you at any moment. I'm sorry we didn't remember the names of the receptionist and the housekeeper. Really, all praise for the staff.

The breakfast was not as described, but more of a "little bit of everything." Which is fine, but then there's no need for a menu with completely different items. The pool is already out of use, even though the website states it’s available until October 15th.

Lovely location with an amazing view. The food is great and service very nice. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the last days of summer in September.

It would have been great if the Spa area was developed as well as the gym (this was told to us last year that it would be up this year); Unfortunately the whirlpool function in the bathtub and hair dryer were not working.

We stayed at the resort for three nights and we didn't want to leave the hotel.Everything was excellent! The place is so pastoral and beautiful. Breakfast at the hotel restarurant on the backgtound of the sea was extraordinary.The swimming pool is open all day long!I want to thank everyone at the hotel - Dušan, Giorgi, Buena and all the hotel staff - for their goodness and desire to help me make the perfect marriage proposal!The price worths every Euro.My fiance and I will definitely recommend people to stay at Forte Rose Resort when they travel in Montenegro, and hope to come and visit again some day in the future.

Room was a bit small for this type of property, but spacious bathroom and garden kind of compensate for it…

Incredible location in a beautiful setting and great fishing village. We loved the beach, walking into the village and had a great day trip to Herceg Novi using the cheap local water taxi.

Restaurant was over-priced and the food was not great quality. They also did not sell wine by the glass, which was very strange. Breakfast was a great food selection but only one hot drink was included and additional ones were charged extra. They are a high end hotel and we’ve never experienced that before at breakfast. They also charged for use of sun loungers on one of the hotel beaches. We could understand that more but again it just did not fit with the high end experience they seem to want to market.

Beautiful location of the hotel, lovely views from the restaurant, enough shade and breeze to enjoy hot summer days. Breakfast was good, rooms nice and clean, bed comfortable.

Lack of skills and professionalism, staff amateur hour for a hotel with 4*. Overall, too pricey.

We liked the great view from the room and used the very close (stoney) beach for free a lot. The room was tidy and clean.

The price for a "sandy" beach is not included. However, everybody needs to decide him/herself whether to pay for it or not. Better check it our first. The rooms are rather small and no fridge is installed. The personal is not really accomodating. For example, on the day we are leaving, they tell us that they organise boat trips or if we have seen the sandy beach. In other places we've been to, we felt more, let's say, welcomed.Nevertheless, Rose is beautiful and worth staying at, and the Forte Rose resort offers a beach and still a good feeling. Still, there are things to improve.

Excellent experience. The place was incredibly peaceful and beautiful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the service was outstanding. Breakfasts were delicious. The hotel’s decor was lovely, featuring an abundance of plants that added to the serene atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a tranquil and enjoyable stay by the sea.

The hotel’s restaurant was overpriced. While the food was really good, the high prices were not justified.
