Boutique Hotel Villa Royal

The location is top-notch, just 4 minutes from the sea. The rooms were small but very neat, and the staff were super friendly. And they gifted is wine!

The breakfasts were scarce and quite inconsistent: one day omelette with tiny pieces of thin nice bacon, another day with a huge chunk of fat instead. But all the rest was good

We had a very pleasant stay here. The hotel is freshly renovated, clean, and the rooms are big and comfortable. They even upgraded us, and the view was amazing. It’s right next to the beach in a quiet spot, but still just a short walk to the center and Porto Montenegro. Breakfast was simple but did the job, and we loved the little gift of house wine.There was a small mix-up with the jacuzzi, but the manager was so kind and sorted it right away, even giving us a late checkout. The only drawback was an employee at the front desk, who caused the mix-up and complicated straightforward questions. Luckily, the manager made up for it and we left with a very positive impression overall.

Such a charming boutique hotel with beautiful decor and a welcoming atmosphere. The location was perfect — just a short stroll to the waterfront and to Porto Montenegro. The staff were genuinely warm and kind, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. My room was small but wonderfully cozy — perfect for a comfortable night’s rest after a full day exploring — and it even had a private jacuzzi, which was the perfect way to unwind. As a delightful surprise, they gifted me a delicious bottle of their family-owned white wine, which made my stay feel even more special and personal.

Honestly, nothing to dislike — everything felt just right for a short and cozy stay.

The staff was very kind and caring. The Hotel has actually 4 Stars. Great beds, good view to the sea and all you could need in the bathroom. Also the breakfast is comprehensive.

Great staff! Breakfast is good and sufficient. The hotel is close to the city center and the airport, wonderful location.

When we arrived, the hotel was under construction and the management hadn’t given us any information about it. We were shocked, then we asked the restaurant across the hotel and he said we can visit “Splendid Hotel” since the owner is the same. So we went there and stayed there during our visit.

First of all all my comments and stars are for the hotel “Splendido Bay”, because we could not stay in Hotel Villa Royal because they have started a renewal construction on site, but it was no problem for us because the manager upgrated our stay (free of charge) to Splendido Bay Hotel just next to Villa Royal. i think they own both of these hotels but Splendido Bay Hotel is very new and has a higher star... we liked everything about the hotel: staff were all friendly, room was very clean and new, location was good...

The location is excellent.

The hotel is just very tired and needs updating. Curtains hanging off their rails, no shower door, bathroom fixings hanging off, no handles in wardrobe doors. No kettle in the room. The fridge had not been emptied from the previous guests and the bathroom had not been cleaned.

Would not stay there again. Not as nice as on pictures online.

Boring, the same every day. Old serving plates, did not always work, cold eggs. Nearly no fresh fruit or vegetables, sometimes only old / brown apple. No musli / cereals, only dusty cornflakes. A lot of plastic plates. No fresh juice. No salt or pepper at table. No variety of bread. One sort of cheese, not cooled / not really fresh. Honey and jam in small old sticky plastic.

The only positive thing about this “hotel” was the location. Which was also not perfect but decent since you can walk to porto montenegro for about 20 minutes.

The room and the building was just horrible! Not clean enough and very small, you could barely move around in the room, bathroom was horrendous, very old facilities definitely far from comfortable. Breakfast was the worst i have ever had very few choices. Nothing against the staff or anything but i would never ever come back to this so called hotel! I stayed only two nights and i could not wait to leave it!

Very close to the beach with a great taverna right across the street. The emplyees were very friendly and helpful.

We got an upgrade to the twin hotel, which was a 4* hotel, but still in renovation. The room was big but not properly equiped like a 4* hotel, it was more of a 2 maybe 3* room. And it smelled of cigarettes, probably from the previous guest who smoked inside the room.

The staff are lovely and I like the location, a little bit off the main drag. Of course the price is also attractive. The breakfast is also OK, and included. The bar is cheap and works late.

The main problem for me were the beds. They were just awful. Two knackered single mattresses... they just need replacing. The breakfast was also pretty poor, probably one of the worst I've had ever tbh.

Cleanliness isn’t up to standard, and full building stairs smell very bad from kitchen downstairs - fish smells and other.

Unfortunately nothing I can think about.

I never give bad reviews, but here I just need to share with others as apartment was not cleaned at all and that for a long time. there were ko dors on the shower, i could not close window shades as they were stuck, parking was some 20 meters away, more looking like a scrape yard, full of waste from some building site. First time in my life I saw water boiler mounted in the shower…electic cable in the shower would say is jot such a good idea. There was no remote control for air condition. Theres a lot more I could write, but let that be enough of my time.

It had nu e outside terrace.Breakfast was good.Price was right.

The cheapest hotel in town with breakfast. Close to the beach

I was expecting an old hotel room, but they "upgraded" our room and moved us to an apartment in new building which was definitely not finished. The apartment itself was just renovated, but the wallpapers came off already and the reno itself wasn't good. The air conditioner didn't work, everything was dirty inside and outside as well.

Dirty water in the taps. Shower only had one temperature, no shower door, dirt from previous occupant in the bottom of the shower. Blinds were broken and the bed broke in the middle of the night because it wasn’t secured together. Only one option for breakfast.

Good location and staff.

Rooms are equipped with old furniture, that’s why it is a bit uncomfortable.

Location, food it was acceptable.

Furnitures were old and all broken, air- condition was not working, the power cables had problems, some do not have power at all, possibility of fire hazard at bathroom. Room 106 , third floor.
