Aminess Laurel Khalani Hotel

This hotel was smart to have its best assets greet us upon arrival. Yes, the door men were friendly enough, but receptionist Rebeka and concierge Ingrid were easily the most professional and personable hotel staff this seasoned traveler has ever dealt with. They alone are responsible for the Khalani getting the highest possible rating.

TV in my room kept pixelating.

Outside and inside swimming pool area´s was excellent. Also the whole hotel was clean and beautiful, especially the big lobby area. Sunset bar was great and and the views from there. Yoga time in the morning at the balcony was nice.

Gym was too small and a few gym equipment was broken.

No indoor pool. Food displays exactly the same every evening. Meat cuts second rate. ,5 quid for a can of diet coke ridiculous, waiters/resses were young students unable to deal with service issues. Some were actually quite rude when we asked for extra glasses for our table, although by day 3, we refused to purchase a drink and brought our own - as did many of the guests. Thinks it's 5 star but fails to deliver

We as family spent first weekend of November in this amazing hotel. Perfect location in quiet part of Makarska, next to the beutiful beach, with lots of swimingpools and activities for adults and children made our stay unforgettable. The hotel is extremly clean, rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. Beds are very big and comfortable. Staff is so lovely and kind. The food is excellent, very tasty, nice served and diverse. The bottle of wine as gift second day supprised us. Sincere recommendation! ♥️

The food was excellent

There was a mix-up with our booking. I ordered a partial sea-view with balcony (asked for higher floor) and half-board. We ended up with a booking with a lobby view and breakfast only. Whose fault? Hotel? Booking? Anyway we had to pay 350 euros extra for half-board and the hotel amicably upgraded us to a room with a balcony (close to no view except to the hotel across). That was extremely disappointing.

Position of the hotel, spacious rooms and hotel design.

This wasn't a 5 star hotel experience. Service was incredibly bad - dirty table placeholders at dinner, impossible to order a drink at the pool or during dinner unless you track down someone, lack of professional staff and management.Management looked as disinterested as the staff in cleanliness, customer service etc. I have personally never been in a place with worse service and more lack of care for guests.

The hotel was very nice. The pool is wonderful and the wellness was amazing.

Great location! Breakfast very diverse and delicious. We appreciated the variety of options of the dinner, which catered to different tastes and preferences.

Crowded Hotel!! Try to find a sunbed! It doesn’t look like a five star hotel, talking about facilities to the pools and beach area. Unfortunately, our experience with the hotel staff was disappointing. We found them to be unhelpful and not very welcoming. I strongly recommend Hotel Mirjan, just in front of Aminess. There you’ll find Loccitane amenities in a relaxing and calm area, with really great staff.

Over priced for what it is and definitely not 5 star rating

It’s not a 5 star hotel, it’s all about cramming as many people into the hotel and not about the quality a 5 star hotel should deliver.. found it impossible to get a lounge chair by the beach or pool..

The hotel and the room was very clean. Both the indoor and the outdoor pools are really nice. There was a lot of choice for breakfast.

We paid for dinner one night and it was definitely not worth it. No drinks included and there are not enough main dishes so you end up eating a lot of sides instead.

The food was.. really bad. The organization of dinners and breakfasts was just horrible.

This was our third stay in the hotel. Our first stay was in 2023 and i would rate it as the best one. Every year since then the quality faded ever so sligthly. For instance, prices in the bar by the pool skyrocketed, while quality of drinks plummeted...(martini bianco for 12€ only 1/3 full, regular espresso for the price of double,....etc. Also, this is the first time we had a feeling that they reuse the food that was not consumed day/night before...Do not get me wrong, this is still by far the best breakfast and dinner you can get in this area, there is astounding variety of dishes served, there is absolutely no way that you can stay hungry in Khalani hotel. You can find something to eat, even for the pickiest of people! Also it is well taken care of people with diffrent food alergies...Rooms are great,this time we stayed in deluxe suite with sea view, a proper apartment with two rooms and two bathrooms with sea view! Outside pool is heated and very clean, absolutely lovely place to cool off (depth 160cm). There are many, and i mean many, deck chairs with umbrella.Indoor pool depth is 130cm, with jacuzzi nearby. Wellness area is nice, clean, with 3 types of sauna and a place to relax. Also superb place for kids, as there are 2 pools and a whole playground made just for them.There are probably 150 steps and around 20 stairs to the beach, under hotel is a market and a nice walkway (15min) to the beachside of Makarska.

Prices in the bar by the pool are pretty high, food maybe(?) reused.

absolutely loved this hotel , classy and luxurious . Everything was perfect , wished we stayed longer.Amazing pool with swim up bar, sauna and spa amazing , gym amazing, rooms stunning, breakfast top notch and staff were super nice. Parking was tight but you can pay for a pass to park in their overflow, easy walk into Makarska.Would definitely return

Breakfast is extensive and feels quite luxurious. Room was spacious and beds comfortable. Enough beds at the pool and overall great location. Sustainability is promoted throughout the resort.

Waiters in the restaurant were quite intuitive during breakfast while cleaning tables; plates were pulled from you while you are still chewing on your toast.

Swimming pool, view, sauna, gym, everything is brand new and clean.

Some details can be improved. The pump of shampoo and shower gel was broken when we checked in, the toilet is not very comfortable, the perfume hotel uses to refresh the room doesn’t smell nice, and the people smoked in balcony from other rooms and that smoke was in our room as well. The breakfast can also be better.
