Hotel Park Makarska

Breakfast was great. Pool was wonderful. Location was awesome. Also, we booked to stay for 3 nights however, we had to leave after 2 nights (because if a flight change) the hotel was able to cancel our last night without charge. Thank you very much for being so accommodating.

This was the third time we stayed at the Park and the only time we did not get a pool view room. That was disappointing.

Absolutely gorgeous property. They staff is so friendly and attentive. The included breakfast had options for everyone and great coffee. The bars had wonderful drinks that were reasonably priced. Upon arrival, we got a free upgrade to our room and we enjoyed the queen suite. It was absolutely breathtaking - the views and balcony were unreal. The room was stocked and very clean. The location was phenomenal too - right on the strip with lots of coffee spots, ice cream, restaurants, and of the course the beach. The beach was a rock beach but it was very clean and enjoyable.

The only thing they could work on is the amount of pool chairs. During the busy season, it is very hard to find a spot by the pool. The pool opens at 0800 but guests are already on the pool deck at 0700 waiting to claim a spot. The beach is very close and has several beach chairs available - however they are 12 € each for the day (regardless if you are a hotel guest or not) and that can really add up. If you are an early riser, it is ok but quite inconvenient to have to fight for your spot by the pool. It was also great that the rooms had blackout curtains because several of the clubs had strobe lights and music that made it difficult to sleep at night but the curtains helped.

This is a great spot just to relax, walk through town, spend days on the beach and eat well in the surrounding restaurants. Upgraded to a large suite with lovely balcony views. Enjoyed on-site pool and beach just in front. Clean and easy, elevators.

Parking Is a bit disorganized but worked for us. Everyone lays out towels to grab pool loungers before breakfast (even one towel across 2) that go unused for much of the day and nothing really done to curb this.

Excellent location, lovely clean modern hotel, the rooms were lovely. Staff were all very helpful. Breakfast was good. Overall I would recommend this hotel!

The dinner was a buffet which was fine - but the selection wasn't great and the food was just warm. Which is normal for a buffet however it was a decent enough price. In our particular room you could hear the heating system which came on every hour which disturbed our sleep however it did only happen one night of our stay.

The room, the view, the location and the restaurant were exceptional.

We spent our summer holiday at Hotel Park Makarska and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect – right on the beach and promenade, yet still quiet enough for a relaxing stay. The view from the balcony over the sea and the Makarska Riviera was breathtaking, especially in the evenings.Our room was spacious, modern, very clean, and had a comfortable bed. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and fresh ingredients.We also enjoyed the hotel’s pool and wellness facilities, which made our stay even more pleasant. Being so close to the town center and the seaside walk was ideal for both relaxation and romantic strolls.Overall, Hotel Park exceeded our expectations. It’s a great choice for couples, and we would definitely recommend it. We’ll be happy to come back again.

The breakfast and dinner were delicious with a good variety of options. The beach was beautiful and just steps away, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. The staff were friendly and always ready to help, which made the experience even better.

The only downside was the small parking area, but the hotel arranged parking about 10 minutes away and provided a ride back to the hotel. It was a bit inconvenient if you needed the car often, but overall, it was manageable.

Great convenient beachfront location

They need to change the design of their shower/tub. They have only a short 2 foot glass panel. Even trying to be careful, it’s impossible to take a shower without flooding the floor. I did not like the bedding. A bottom sheet and no top sheet, you sleep directly under the comforter.

Good location by the beach. Nice room with balcony and sea view. Good and helpful staff.

Minor things: No oatmeal at breakfast. No tissues in the room. No hair conditioner in the bathroom.

Our room did not have a walk in shower. Food at dinner was mostly lukewarm due to underperformance of heat lamps.Cliental mostly of an older age.

Staff, especially reception staff need to be re-trained. Communication and Customer Service was average at best. If you are looking to stay with kids - simply don't.

Restaurant staff need training with customer service. The only person with smile was the chef Toni. Management needs to better organize job titles and jobs assigned to them so they don't have staff that look lost. Didn't really use the pool it was a bit undersized, and the number of sunbeds insufficient for the number of hotel guests. Beds on the beach should be free for hotel guests. Beach is clean but overcrowded . If you come at 9am can't find place to sit. Parking should be free. Dinner needs to include water at least. The bottle of water was 5 euros. Bit pricey for not having any entertainment in resort.

There should be a charge for all sun beds on or off the beach as there was ridiculous amount of people before 8.00am holding towels on sunbeds but did not use them by the pool

Perfect location close to the heart of the Riviera. Easy to get to all the area has to offer.

The pool needs cleaning. Mould/algae evident everywhere in the pool. Not hygienic.

The hotel is located on the beach , it has big rooms and comfy beds and the staff was super helpful and nice. We had breakfast and dinner and the food was just amazing and the variety quite good(we spent there 5 nights). We had a lot of vegetarian options and healthy food(which is why we chose dinner,too).The parking is located a few kilometers away(the one that they have on site fits only maximum 10-12 cars) and if you stay longer than 2-3 days, a driver will take you to the parking lot every time when you need it(just take into consideration it is a 10 minute drive from the hotel).

The only thing we didn’t appreciate was that the pool was a bit undersized and the number of sunbeds insufficient for the numbers of hotel guests they have in the summer. People would go there even before 8 AM to reserve seats(which is against hotel policy), and if you would want to go to the pool at 9 AM you wouldn’t have a place to seat. Otherwise,the hotel is really nice and we enjoyed a lot our stay there.
