Heritage Hotel Kastelet

Honestly, the only positive review I can give is that the hotel and rooms are clean and beautifully designed.

Parking - This hotel is pricey, and parking is not included in the cost. There is not ample parking on this property for hotel guests - one of the staff had to ride with us in our car to a parking lot behind the property that definitely was not tied to the hotel. Cars were parked haphazardly and double parked - we were advised to park behind another car, and when we asked if this would be an issue, the staff member told us "it should be fine if you're only staying 1 night". This did not give us any confidence, and we weren't sure if we were going to be asked to move our car at any point during our stay. I'm fine to pay for parking, but not if the experience is like this.Service - The service was BAD. The entire staff seemed completely uninterested in doing their jobs or providing any service whatsoever. They were neither attentive nor quick to respond to any of our needs during our stay. For example, when having dinner at the restaurant and trying to salt my (very bland) food and clearly struggling because the salt grinder isn't working, and 4 of the servers are watching me struggle and not approaching the table to assist, that's a problem. Again, this is a pricey hotel and I do expect at least the bare minimum, which I did not receive. In summary, all of the staff seemed annoyed to have to do anything at all, and there was absolutely zero initiative to provide any service unless asked.Food - The food was bland and almost inedible. My partner ordered the tuna steak and it was very overcooked, to the point he didn't eat it. I ordered the chicken and it was also overcooked. At the start of our meal, we ordered a meat + cheese platter and had to ask for plates as there were none on our table.Lastly, all of the images on booking.com and the hotel's website are misleading, and make it seem like a quiet and secluded beachfront property. Instead, the beach is PACKED with touristy chaos. Very little room to relax.

Not possible to drive with the car to the main entry so be prepared to carry your luggage 50m. Nespresso machine which should be a standard for hotels above 9 was not available in the room. Weak & small fridge.

This is the best hotel we have ever been to in TučepiEverything is so close by. The Hotel has everything you need, and the proximity to the beach is amazing. But the best thing are people at the reception Hava and Marko. Unbelievably helpful with anything you might need. There is not a single thing that this Hotel needs to add and improve on.

We really enjoyed close proximity to sea, inner courtyard and newly refurbished rooms.

Downside of the location is parking situation surrounding hotel. As well some rooms are exposed to constant sound of (likely) air conditioning. Since the hotel is really small (27 rooms), it might be benefitial to offer sun beds to all guests (ideally free of charge). However, we wouldn’t hesitate to come back to the hotel again.

Design of hotel is very sofisticated.. interior desing is also very nice very elegant, it is place with taste.Near of hotel is best sea in Croatia.

Breakfast was very poor to naive for that level of hotel... parking also it little bit confused.. it was not possible to organize meeting with management or director of hotel to negotiate something more in future...

Amazing breakfast, best was no small kids…but you have the “Zoo” with kids and families right outside on the beach. Best was also to enjoy the quiet backyard when it got to noisy in front.

Simply all the service: on arrival to the room we were greeted by a dirty sock on the sofa, absolutely disgusting breakfast, no luggage service and no car parking. For the price I expect a completely different level of service.Plus Tucepi is NOT the most picturesque Croatian town.

Everything! Especially how friendly the stuff was. We were able to be in the restaurant outside or in the courtyard garden with our dog and that was something we really loved that there were no limits for where you can bring the dog or not. The location is great and the renovation of the hotel is astonishing.

The location of the hotel is superb - just a few meters from the beautiful Tucepi beach. Our room was spacious, modern and elegantly decorated. The service was great and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay there - highly recommend!

very good accommodation option, excellent hotel. there are parking spaces. friendly staff. cozy, calm. good location parking available.

Location was perfect, nice stroll in the evening and morning. Beach swim right in front of the hotel. The staff in the dinning area out front were exceptional. One gentleman in particular from Bosnia but didn’t get his name.

Front desk lady. Grumpy!!!! Very short with everyone she came in contact with. As we waited we watched and heard her with a few different people. Not a great first impression

Breakfast was excellent, ingredients were fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the cheese and eggs. Would have been nice to have had some olives as well. They were not offered.

The terrace was not clean upon my arrival, and it is not routinely cleaned by the cleaning crew. I had to intervene several times to have it cleaned. The restaurant chairs were also messy sometimes. Overall, cleaning should be done better.
