Everything was just as it should be. Check in was pleasant, even though reception staff had to check in 2 tour busses before me, but they were very fast and professional. Room was Suite with Balcony, bedroom, living room with sofa bed, 2 toilets, 2 balconies facing the beach, so close you can hear waves splashing. Spacious bathroom and shower.Pool area was very nice. Lots of beds and umbrellas. Public beach was just down the set of stairs so you have option to stay within pool area, and walk down to the sea when you feel like swimming. There is also a bar at the pool area, and another just inside the reception. Food was excellent. Breakfast, standard fare. Lunch and dinner excellent selection, no repeats whole week we were there. Pizza oven, salad bar, fruits, ice cream and sweet table.Hotel has indoor pool and gym which we didn't use. But most important are the staff. Always with a smile and ready to help.

Sofa bed was decent, but a mattress topper would make it more comfortable.

Generally its a good hotel, good value for money. The meals were very good, although no cakes for lunch :-(It was clean. The pool was great and we were always able to find a place

There are some minor things where there is room for improvement. Parking needs to be extra paid. The beach is overcrowded, especially on weekend. ( this is not directly the hotels fault ) Staff could be more polite in some moments, in the bars and reception.2 elevators are not enough for such a big hotel. Toilette nearby the pool and space to change the swimming suite would be nice to have.

Absolutely perfect staff !! receptionists I talked to ... , staff in the restaurant ... , cleaning service ... every single person I met was friendly and helpful. This is not always a standard also in other 4* hotels, especially during high season and fully booked hotel. What else ? we missed the dinner first evening (as we arrived too late), the dinner was waiting for us prepared in our room ! without asking/ordering in advance. Absolutely quiet location in the night, after 22:30 you can hear waves from the sea also in rooms oriented to the pool. No noise from other guests, no shouting & laughing from the bar ... The hotel was full of families with children (including mine) and the night was really quiet every time - I was surprised - we could sleep with window open although our room was oriented to the pool.Hotel was fully booked but there were no queues in restaurant, neither morning nor lunch or dinner, as mentioned already, the staff did a great job. Food was very good and tasty, with so many choices of cold and warm kitchen, fresh fruits and vegetables. Nothing was missing even if we came 15 minutes before closing ! We also very much enjoyed Croatian water melons, they were just great. Big plus is also an option to eat on big and spacious terrace (if it's not too hot), close to promenade. Room was pretty small and simple furnished, but clean and practical. However the stay in this hotel was not about the room, but rather about the service and the food and the sea of course ...

coffee machines were turned off during the lunch, I'm used to have a coffee after lunch, but it was not possibledo not use questions about ruSSia in "quiz night show", ruSSia is a !!! TERRORIST STATE !!! and any other meaning (or questions) in the quiz is just inadequate a unacceptable for normal people, I hope it was there just by a mistake.

The hotel is really well located on a beautiful stretch of beach. The surrounding area has gorgeous scenery. Hotel has a very nice outdoor dining area. Nice modern seating around the pool area with lots of shade.Modern and bright interior. Rooms were clean with good size balcony.The buffet was kept well replenished and there was a good variety of dishes on offer. I feel the food did not stay hot enough under the heat lamps. The soup one lunchtime was luke warm.

Elevators are small and can’t accommodate more than three people with luggage. There should be a water dispenser in the lobby for guests to have a refreshing drink on arrival. No toilets near the pool, you have to walk through the hotel lobby from the pool to use the toilet.Tea and coffee were only available at breakfast.We were full board and would have liked a cup of tea after lunch. The coffee machine lines were always long and the machines kept breaking down. The hotel need to provide a separate hot water station next to the tea bags to save people from standing in line at the coffee machine just for hot water.

Breakfast was bulk standard. The facilities were good and the cleanliness was of a good standard.

Open buffet - dinner menu was nice, organization of food serving could be improved with overwhelming crowd (excursion/2 buses od hyngry retired prople) and demand that can’t be met at the expected level for 4 star hotel open buffet, majority of the restaurant staff not leaving an impression of content, cleansines of rooms and corridors may be questioned and hotel facade doesn’t leave you with a nice impression about te hotel…ready for rennovation

Location is the best thing about this hotel and it is pretty clean. The food is great and there are options for everyone so you won’t be hungry.

Beverages that are included with meals are very bad. Also the hair dryer broke in our room and we had to wait for two days to get it fixed.

I stayed at the hotel for a week, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The location is truly excellent, right by the water, with easy access to Makarska and a beautiful promenade for walks. The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout my stay. Parking was conveniently available right in front of the hotel without any issues. Food was okay, but it became quite repetitive over the course of the week.

The room I booked felt a bit cramped, with a small window placed at the far end, which resulted in a lack of natural light. For a 4-star hotel, I would have expected some additional amenities in the bathroom, like body milk, and a kettle with tea/coffee in the room.The indoor pool is quite small and can get crowded quickly. The fitness equipment is outdated, and some machines were not functioning, so it definitely needs an upgrade. Lastly, the outdoor pool is not heated, but luckily, the sea was warmer during my stay.

I spent 4 days at this hotel, unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. After checking in I discovered that the lock on the balcony door of my room was broken. I reported this to the reception, but my complaint was ignored. Despite assurances, no one took up the repair, which made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe throughout my stay. Instead of enjoying my vacation, I had a constant sense of anxiety that someone might enter my room without my knowledge. In addition, my wife was unfairly criticized by the kitchen staff for allegedly inappropriate clothing in the hotel restaurant despite not wearing a swimsuit, which was in fact prohibited. This was a completely unjustified incident that also negatively affected our stay. I definitely do not recommend this hotel,the hotel does not deserve the stars, the old building was sloppily renovated, the reception staff is not nice, the quality is absurd, AVOID IT

Pool area was like the sauna. Parking is overcrowded. Lunch time is from 12:00 to 14:00, but it would be much better if it is from 13:00 to 15:00. Too much kids screaming :)

Very nice hotel with great pool. Kids loved all the activities that hotel provided for them. Great food choices as well as desserts.

We paid for half board and dinner didn't even include glass of water. Drinks were available only for breakfast and even though they served tap water for full board guestes, we only had option to pay for bottled water. This was pretty insane.

We stayed at Hotel Alga from August 18 to 28 and now, when the impressions have settled, we want to share our experience. From the moment of arrival, until the last day, we encountered extremely friendly staff whose positive energy and professionalism did not change during the entire stay.We try to be constructive critics to help improve service, but apart from noticing more crowds during evening meals, the food was outstanding - truly deserving of a 10 out of 10. Everything was perfectly balanced and well prepared.In terms of cleanliness, the hotel was very tidy, considering the large number of guests coming and going from the beach. All in all, we highly recommend Hotel Alga, especially for families, as the town of Tučepi is small, but charming and peaceful. Couples who don't mind a little noise will also enjoy their stay here.Finally, we would like to mention something unrelated to the hotel, but very important - the behavior of the gentleman who rents sunbeds on the beach was unacceptable, considering his very rude and loud vocabulary. Also, there were many rude people on the beach carelessly stepping over other people's belongings, throwing stones, moving things and throwing cigarettes.Once again, all praise for the Alga Hotel. Keep up the great work and small improvements in the future. Thank you for a pleasant vacation!

The only minor drawbacks were related to the parking lot and the beds in the room. Although parking is 8 euros per day, it can happen that you have to wait a long time for a free space.

Excelent food, very good location, clean sea

Hotel charge 8euro per day for parking but there Is not enough parking spaces for everybody. They offer parking sonewhere else but its far. Or you block other cars And you must leave keys in reception and they move your car around. AC was not runing enough, 2x in four days didnt work at all. Outside 38°C, not able to stay or sleep in the room. 4* hotel should solve this problem.
