Hotel Cala Di Forno

The hotel is located in a quiet, charming town Fonteblanda, with almost no tourists — a real hidden gem! It’s just a 5-minute drive or a 15-minute walk to the beach. There’s a supermarket only 2 minutes away on foot, along with a few cozy bars, great gelato, and small restaurants right on the ground floor. It’s also a short drive (20 minutes) to Orbetello or Porto San Stefano — perfect spots for an evening walk and dinner by the sea.Our room was spacious with a huge balcony, and it was cleaned daily. The Italian breakfast was very nice and filling: yogurt, cheese, salami, nuts, pastries, bread, fresh fruit, and good coffee. Two kind Italian ladies working at the hotel were very helpful and answered all our questions.A peaceful and authentic place to stay — we’d definitely come back!

Bad WiFi, poor water supply, fridge doesnt cool.

Clean rooms, nice place and staff. Breakfast is good and it is possible to eat on the terasse outside.

Non english speaking staff, air conditionar is quite exotic and noisy. No wifi in some rooms, at least on the second floor.

Not enough space in the bathroom, bidet was removable. Never seen something like this. Anyway it was overpriced.

The bed was okay....

First when we arrived at the hotel at 9 pm there was no body. Also, the doors didn't open to the lobby. We waited for 15 min till somebody arrived and finally opened the door. The lady couldn't speak a word English.... we finally get our room key and could enter our room. Arround 11pm, it sounded at the hallway like there were 100 people entering the hotel. The sound was awful and very loud. You can hear everything of everybody in the hotel in your own room. It sounded like people were walking above our room until 1 am. It was so terrible!In the morning, we wanted to check out, but there was nobody at the desk. After 10 min off waiting, we were don with it, so we have been looking in the building to find somebody and checked out finally!

My room has been renovated and was very clean, with everything you need! This can be a great option if you need to stay overnight or plan to explore the area by car.Near the hotel you can find train station, Coop supermarket, e-bike sharing station and ATM.

The location of the hotel is absolutely NOT suitable if you are traveling on foot. It will take you quite some time to reach the nearest center of Talamone (about 1 h) on foot. Buses/taxi are barely available the area.I would strongly recommend emphasizing this in the description of the hotel, as the proximity to the beach and the city center on the map can mislead visitors.

Breakfast was good. The room is ok too. AC was working well. Stuff is nice.

The room smelled like cigarette, probably someone in another room was smoking and it came in.
