Pros +
- Everything, the location, great Mountain View, cleanliness, and high quality food in the restaurant.
- This is a family run hotel in a cosy, upmarket, high quality alpine style. The rural village setting is very peaceful with breathtaking views across the valley. The owners were warm, helpful and very knowledgable about the area. Breakfast was excellent (eggs, pastries, cold cuts, coffee, juice, etc.) all of which were excellent. The food and wine served in the restaurant were superb. Even if you were not staying here, this restaurant is worth travelling to, and throughout our tour of Northern Italy, rates as one of the very best we visited. It's clear there is an attention to detail with a focus to quality. Staying here was a pleasure and surpassed our expectations.
- The hotel’s restaurant offers an exquisite Italian menu made with natural ingredients, with each dish being a perfect blend of flavors and consistently excellent in quality and presentation. Every meal was a delightful experience.
Cons -
- Nothing of note
- One of the two nights there were three rooms around us with noisy/crying young kids/babies . We barely slept . Unfortunately very noisy .
- The room next door to us had children that were jumping around and shouting before bedtime, being extremely loud and not being considerate of other guests

We stayed two nights. Highly recommend the restaurant. We had a delicious dinner, everyone loved it. Also breakfast was very good. Beautiful views and friendly staff.

The genuine charm of the property and its owners. The stunning views and special location.
The staff were incredible, polite, friendly and were really helpful. We just managed to have dinner before the cut off time and the staff were kind and accommodating.
The room next door to us had children that were jumping around and shouting before bedtime, being extremely loud and not being considerate of other guests
The location is beautiful at 1633m high! So the view is great! The family is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and it is so quiet! The local dishes are really tasteful, as well as the local wine selection.
The narrow road up to the chalet is 15km from the village of Nus, which takes about 22 minutes. There are not really any other restaurants up there, so if you don't want to drive up in the dark, you need to have dinner in the chalet. As mentioned, food and wines are really good!
A lovely hide away high above the valley, great view and charming hosts. Also a great ride up the mountain if you are on a motorbike
Beautiful place, the view is wonderful! The jacuzzi at night offers a unique moment to the star gazers! Roberto is friendly and happy to help
Found the service a bit slow especially with food. Couple of things were missing in the room but then got sorted. The rooms aren’t well insulated from noise.
Beautiful views. Peace and quiet. You are in the middle of a small alpine settlement: no noise, almost no light pollution. Friendly family atmosphere. Authentic local food. Owners are happy to share advice and stories about the region with you. I really recommend it.
Everything was perfect. The property has an excellent restaurant with food made with local products. Originally we did not plan to eat there every evening, but after the first evening we decided we fo not been any other place. The hosts are amazing and do everything for you to feel great. The views are breathtaking. I warmly recommend this place at any tine of the year.
Chalet Saint-Barthélemy Hotel really exceeded our expectations. It is a small family-run hotel in a tiny village where you have to get by driving a long and twisty mountainous road. The views on the mountains around are amazing, and it is very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We stayed in a very nice room -- big windows, comfortable bed (I asked for extra pillows and these were provided instantly!), the bathroom is large and comfortable. Enough space to store luggage, clothes, equipment etc. Nice touches in the room, some handmade furniture items (like bedside table made of wood slabs), overall simple but cosy interiors where you can truly feel very relaxed.Outside the building there is a terrace with tables/chairs/deck chars where you can enjoy the sun and relax with a coffee / cold beer / aperitivo. The long drive to the village is totally worth it. Its super quiet in the evenings, you can walk around the village, there is observatory, and you can also be rewarded with amazing views of the stars in the night sky.Separately I would like to mention that you can book dinner in the hotel's resturaunt, and its really really good. We had tasting menu with a lot of local traditional dishes. The restaraunt uses only local produce from local farmers/producers, which is always great to see. The wine selections is also good. The hosts are lovely people, very friendly, happy to help and explain everything. Thank you for making our stay perfect, we will definitely come back.
Great place with a lot of calm. The family owned hotel with a great welcoming. The owners make special effort to stay with local products. Food in the restaurant is delicious and the chef cuisine is amazing. You can feel at home over there ??
Views to die for, very welcoming and knowledgeable people.Great restaurant with fabulous local produce and Aosta wines. They were easy and accommodated our request to cook some chicken for 2 very fussy children.
The view is breathtaking! Enjoyed the breakfast. Very friendly staff, accommodated my late check in.
Nice view, extremely friendly staff, family hotel
Stunning views and friendly staff. Food in the restaurant was very nice!
It was a shame we couldn't reserve the jacuzzi as it was the first day they opened the hotel for the long weekend so it wasn't ready for use yet.
The staff were amazing they have just planned the trip forward and where to hike nearby. it is very comfortable that there is a restaurant inside the hotel. The view from the hotel and the window of the room is just unbelievable.Truly recommended for anyone I want to travel around aosta valley
Cosy, quite and clean, just nearby the Observatory. Nice staff, excellent breakfast and dinner. Wonderful view from the windows. We stayed in the junior suite: 2 rooms and a large bathroom. Our son fell in love with the place and the owners’ dog.
