Pros +
- La atenci¿n del lugar, las instalaciones en excelentes condiciones y f¿cil de llegar
- Less people for bathroom, nice mattress, kindly stored luggage
- Great staff and accommodations! Also very clean and the back patio is available for anyone to use.
Cons -
- Noisy
- The extra comforter in the room had a weird smell to it. And, around 2300 one of the male hostel staff came into our female dorm to show a guest to their room, which took me by surprise. I think next time it would be better for the male staff not to come into the room or at least knock before doing so.
- The only downside was that the rooms could get a bit warm at night, especially if the windows were closed. Also, while the shared bathrooms were generally clean, they could get a little busy during peak times. Nothing major, but just something to keep in mind.

Great staff and accommodations! Also very clean and the back patio is available for anyone to use.
The four bed female dorm has its own full washroom which was very convenient and nice not having to leave the room to shower. The lockers in the room have enough room to store your bags. The bed was comfortable and pillows not too bad! The terrace outside is adorable and has a lemon tree. The reception staff was extremely kind and recommended places for us to go. There are also pamphlets that point towards resources in the area, such as where to access NA meetings/counselling services, local businesses etc.

I really enjoyed my stay at By Doors Hostel. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth and giving great local tips. The place has a cozy, homey vibe with stylish decor and a clean, well-kept environment. The location is perfect—within walking distance to all the main spots in Porto, but still tucked away enough to feel quiet and relaxed. The common areas are great for meeting other travelers, and the small touches like fresh coffee and comfy beds really made a difference. Would definitely stay again!

The people in charge are exceptional. Very clean facility in a good part of the city. Value for money is great.
It was closed from where I needed to go, it was a very clean place and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
The shower sprinkler should be improved.
Easy acess
The way they aproached me in the morning in regards to city tax. Also noise during the night
There is no inside common area to hang out, only the garden in back so if it’s raining you have to stay in the room. The mattresses were very poor quality so did not give sufficient back support to sleep well.
Everything was clean and the receiptionist was very friendly
Rooms didn’t have wardrobe or windows
Very poor
Nowhere was mentiond that kitchen can be used only from 8am onwards. The staff refused when I requested to use the kitchen to have breakfast before the marathon. Very disappointing.
tiles coming off bathroom walls and bathroom ceiling looked awful. Despite numerous electric plugs in room hardly any were functional
Women only dormitory. Price
Broken shower door, broken toilet, broken door handle/lock on toilet. When I worked out which bell to ring to get into the building, the door was unlocked but not opened. Noisy.
The two women receptionists and the two men that maintain the rooms were all friendly doing an excellent job making sure everyone was comfortable and secure. They tried hard to communicate with all the various languages represented there and we’re extremely helpful.
If driving, you need to pay parking Monday through Saturday near the property.
I like the staff guidence and clearness and comfort and cozy bed
The female dorm has not locked so I feel little scared till the other Roman's did not join me so I think if room has lock it's better for security of female
The people and staff were fantastic. There were two different kitchens, and food was allowed to be left for others to use, which fosters an environment of sharing. The patio and the rooms and bathrooms were wonderful.
I wish the bedroom doors had had locks on them, and that the women’s room was not right as you walked in on the first floor, simply for safety reasons. However, there was no need to feel unsafe and keys for lockers were provided.
It was a nice hostel, not very central but good connections to the city center. The staff was very nice and friendly. There were two kitchens where you can also cook.
Nothing was bothering me that much.
A very nice hostel, quiet area, lidl 5 min walk, the metro is 15 min walk but there are busses just 3-4 min walk.
Nothing to complain
Nice hostel, the staff were super friendly and accomodating!! The room and general areas were kept clean and tidy. Overall a great value for money.
The only issue we had is our bed was a bit uncomfortable, and made lots of noise whenever you moved
Very welcoming and friendly staff! Equipped kitchen with enough space. The outside patio is nice and relaxing. Quiet and silent area. Close to public transports/ metro line directly to the airport.
Maybe a suggestion to put more hangers in the bathroom or a shelf can be useful
