Great location, facilities and staff.
Away fromNoise
Not a lot of space on the bathroom sink and air conditioning was weak. Hallway was hot.
Room was not cleaned properly. The chair was covered with whites powder and my husband’s shirt and pants were covered after he sat in the chair. I requested an itemized invoice for our stay. I was charged for breakfast I believe twice. Once in booking.com and again at the hotel. Since I did not have proof of what was paid for when I booked the property thru booking.com, I paid for breakfast again. When I booked the property I requested a refundable room I was given a non refundable room thru booking.com. Quality of property is not as good as before.
Excellent location, friendly and helpfull staff, Cleanliness.
Clean, comfy, good breakfast, good location
Hotel was nice and we all liked staying. Wish the room had tea and coffee facilities. The restaurant was nice and all the staff were very helpful.
Evrething was perfectly fine. Staff was very friendly and helpfull, and the room was very comfortable.
I think the gym was a bit outdated. The problem was not the size of the space, but the machinery could have been better. For example, it was not possible to run on the treadmill.
Hotel is quite "posh" and extremelly clean.would use again as it was an excellent stay.
For the price we paid free breakfast or at least tea/coffee would have been nice.
Very nice location. Great staff. The room is spacious and clean.
The hotel doesn't offer private parking. There is some spaces outside on the street but not enough. The option is parking on the shopping mall.
location & price
breakfast. same old, same old. no variety
The room was clean and stylish and had all the required conveniences. Breakfast offering was good with options such as scrambled eggs, fruit, cheese etc. Covered parking is available on a first come first served basis and the hotel is right next to a shopping centre which is very convenient.
The rooms are not well isolated in terms of acoustics. For example, I could hear the late night happenings in the neighbouring room which could be embarrassing if a person has kids with them, for example. Also, you can hear the sound of water flushing etc in other rooms. A bit disappointing given it is a Marriot branded property.
Staff were lovely, hotel was smart
Toilet cistern overflowed all night, bedside socket didn’t work.
Nothing!
Visited Porto with wife and teenager daughter and instead of a Family Room as described on Booking.com voucher, we got a triple bed room way too small for 3 people. No storage space enough for everyone, difficult to move on the room as we were left with just a small corridor between the 3 single beds and the TV desk, and no privacy on bathroom as it have a glass door with large gaps on the edges leading to all noises and smells to spread over the room. Terrible! The restaurant/bar have no ambient and quality is quite poor. Also the location it's outside of Porto town and the view from the window it's just horrible. On the last day while checking out, the staff at the desk couldn't be more unfriendly.
The pressure of the shower was great and nice toiletries
The front desk staff didn’t seem to actually care; there was no interest in going the extra mile and learn about the guest’s experience. On check in I wasn’t explained the hotel’s amenities/facilities. On check out no questions were asked about the stay. While waiting to check in I heard a couple checking out and complaining about the fact that their body wash tube was empty and the same happened to me too. The rooms look outdated but the view is good from the upper floors. The bathroom didn’t have a nice fan/extraction system. The rubber of the glass in the bathtub was moldy and the mirror lights were flickering. There’s only 1 outlet near one side of the bed, the other side doesn’t have any outlets at all. The blackout curtains were damaged and full of holes, letting all the light in the room. Definitely not worth the money I paid and if I go back is because it’s the only hotel near that area of the city and I have business to attend in that area. Marriott has better service standards than what was shown in this hotel.
The hotel was efficiently run, rooms were spacious and well kept, staff were friendly and helpful. Food when served was good as were the general hotel facilities. Location is good for major roads passing through Porto and to access the stadium "Estádio do Dragão"
It doesn't have a location or upmarket enough feel to justify the price they charged for the rooms. You could only eat in the bar, there wasn't a proper restaurant set up. On Sunday the menu was limited as the full kitchen was closed...if you are running a higher classed hotel this is not acceptable! I can understand them charging a lot for this hotel when there is something on at the stadium, but its not really a good hotel for visiting Porto due to its location and doesn't justify its pricing in any other way.
The room is comfortable and big. Very clean. The free wifi is very good. Location next to a shopping mall, supermarket and metro which is good.
They do not have coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast is basic. Located far from city center.
Room was excellent clean. Breakfast start at 07.00hrs too late for a business customer. The Non cooked breakfast ( Like cereal bread fruit and coffee) can start at 6.30 with the rest to follow at 7.00 . Location is good but view of motorway not so great.
Motorway in front and the late start of the breakfast at 07.00hrs.
Modern clean and friendly
Rubbish strewn around outside
