Wonderful staff, comfortable room, great location. We enjoyed our stay tremendously even though the weather wasn¿t good.

No communication from hotel regarding lack of parking, valet parking, no clear message for guests, who drove to the hotel, that location is absolutely not conducive for cars. We weren't even able to unload our lagguage in the front of hotel.

Cleanliness of the room and the facilities provided. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable.

The rain shower head in our room was missing some rubber nozzles.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice. I also had several meals in the restaurant. The food was excellent as too was the service. The cathedral was a 10 min walk from the hotel and the hop on hop off buses were just around the corner. It was a 15 min walk to the metro direct to the airport. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel.

Location, breakfast and friendly staff

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Location was great. Our room was very clean and comfortable and well equipped for our 6 night stay.

As Canadians we like to sleep in a cool room at night. It just took awhile to get it down to a comfortable sleeping temperature. Everything else was perfect.

Specifically, the slippers were some of the best I have worn in a long time, having stayed in hotels around the world every week for work. Also, the detail of the free bottle of port wine and the accompanying "pastéis de nata".

Great Location. Excellent friendly staff. Very clean rooms.

The floor in our room had rips in the flooring. The dining areas were cramped for the number of guests.

We had a perfect stay and it even surpassed our expectations. We were moved to a room with views free of charge, which was a very pleasant surprise, and the hotel even gave us a welcome note with 2 gifts. I’ve been to many hotels all over the world and this is definitely not common in Europe, so I was very grateful. Everything else, from the reception staff (extremely friendly), to the room, breakfast, location, amenities…. was absolutely perfect.

Loved the staff! All of them from front desk to breakfast crew were wonderful: friendly and helpful.Public areas and rooms were spotless.

Minor issues — really minor like toilet wouldn’t stop running, door knobs are very difficult to open, housekeeping failed to leave correct coffee pods (or left only de-caff) or didn’t leave milk pods. We had 3 rooms for 4 nights.

Housekeepers excellent but receptionists are arrogant, rude, negligent, and they *deliberately* keep you waiting for no reason whatever, and give no explanations. IMPORTANT: Train your receptionists to make eye contact; (2) Instruct them to STOP chatting to OK each other about their social, all the while ignoring clients who are trying to check in. I have had many hundreds of hotel stays. Here you find the WORST possible receptionists. Either train them or get better receptionist.

Breakfast was superb with plenty choices and delicious pastries. Staff was thoughtful to leave a note and two pastel de nata on first day. The welcome drink comprises choices of white or red port wine was well received. Hotel was located at Praca da Batalha, where a traditional Christmas market was held

Hotel could have installed more hooks or cloth hangers in the room eg. behind bathroom door, on the wall right after the entrance, etc.

Beautiful hotel, centrally located in a great walking area with shops, restaurants and historic sites nearby. Staff was accommodating and helpful. Room was spacious, well appointed and very comfy beds. Will stay here again!

Breakfast room service was awful and overpriced, cold and mostly inedible. No prices listed on the menu. We complained and they removed some of the charges. I would not eat here, although I would stay here.
