Porto River

The hotel had an excellent view and the room was very well appointed. The staff was extremely helpful. And the the breakfast that was included had an excellent selection.

I was difficult to locate the location since it was on a pedestrian only street. They should give much more detailed instruction on how best to arrive at the location.

Loved the size and character of the apartment. Huge size for Europe. Very comfortable. Great staff . Nice breakfast.

Our room was without a view in the back. O/w it was great. A front view room would be great but question if as quiet since so many restaurants are on the front side.

We had a wonderful 2 days at this hotel. Highly recommended it . My room was quiet and peaceful no noise even though we were right in the heart of it allStaff were exceptionally friendly. Front desk and restaurant were incredibly helpful and nice .

My mattress was a little hard but not a deal breaker. Perhaps having a little milk for tea in the morning in your room would have been nice

The staff was very accommodating, it was beautiful, clean and served a wonderful breakfast. The location and view was fantastic.

This is a very difficult review to write because on the one hand, the location is unbeatable with incredible use of the river. On the other hand, see below.

The location comes at a price with horrendous noise right below the hotel. Even with the windows closed and the air conditioning on , it's very loud with horses of people going by and street musicians playing amplified music. The hotel assured us that everything would "calm down after 10 PM" but the only thing that changed was the street musicians packed up but everything else continued until maybe 3 AM. The only solution of this would've been really excellent double glazed windows, but no such luck.

Started with great staff, great room…including little things like welcome chocolates and bottle of wine. Great food and best location!

The location was excellent. We were close to many attractions and restaurants. We had views of the Douro River, Dom Luis I bridge, the monastery and the Cais da Ribeira. The staff was very friendly.

Even though the weather was nice and we used the air conditioner, our room was warm.

If you want to feel the city of Porto stay here. It is the perfect blend of historical Porto with modern touches to the rooms and amenities. Because of the smart adaptions to the historical building the views at the hotel are absolutely unbeatable.We love to stay here as a family (3 times so far) because we are able to meet everyday for breakfast and happy hour on the terrace bar which offers comfortable and unbeatable views of the famous bridge, the Duoro river and the promenade down below. You are really in the middle of the life of the city.The staff and amenities make it very easy to stay here as a family or big group but if you are traveling as a pair or looking for romance this hotel is perfect for a romantic getaway.It is a great price for the clean, luxurious and comfortable feel of the hotel.

I love everything!!!! But keep in mind the following: It is a historic city and building. So just call ahead and make the staff aware of any physical limitations you might have so they can give you the easiest room to access, otherwise every room is accessible with an elevator. The hotel is on the promenade so you do hear the sounds of LIFE! This did not bother us at all but bring ear plugs if you are a very light sleeper as the seagulls can be loud in the morning. We slept very deeply as the rooms are modernized to keep noise out.

Hard to find at first . No access to vehicles

We had a beautiful view over the River. Lots of local restaurants to try. Live music all day. Easy to get an uber or walk to all the attractions. Lively but not too crazy. Plenty of room, nice bathroom, comfortable bed. Great breakfast on the terrace.

Nothing. If the lively atmosphere and music will bother you, this is not the spot. The bedroom is in the back and was very quiet with the door closed.

Great view of the river and all the action. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious - - they were able to accommodate my food sensitivities.

It was a little difficult to get to - cars/taxis aren’t able to drop you off right out front but we easily carried our bags down. The entrance is a little confusing but once you find it, it’s easy
