No air conditioning in the room. No hot water on our last day, so couldn't shower.

The location of the hotel is exceptional...close to everything... and the city-provided parking, if you happen to arrive by car, is conveniently located nearby on the riverfront and is reasonably priced.

The front desk staff we dealt with, at check-in and throughout our stay, were all surprisingly unfriendly, unhelpful and disorganized. The rooms are small, dark and drab. We would not stay at this place again.

The location is busy but in the center of everything with easy walk ability. It¿s a fine hotel if you are out most of the day sightseeing.

The room was adequate. Minimal amenities in the bathroom. It would be nicer if there was a comfortable lobby to hang out in. The common area is small and the ventilation was not great. You could smell cigarette smoke and car exhaust from outside.

The location is perfect, the room is very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is superb. The Nata is much tastier than those sold elsewhere.

Street noises can be heard a little.

Great location just one street up from the river. Staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean. The room was quiet and had everything we needed.

It was listed as Air conditioned through booking.com under facilities. This is deceiving as when you complain regarding the temperature of the room being too warm the hotel staff inform you they do not have it on during the winter months which was not communicated when booking. Although it is not Portugal level of summer heat the rooms heat up considerably during the night (it was 25.5 degrees one evening) Opening windows is not an option due to inconsiderate motorbike rides revving bikes and the general noise of a busy city. I was very disappointed the hotel did not accommodate the use of Air conditioning even after raising numerous times. Such a shame as this left us having uncomfortable nights sleep which effected our stay in this fantastic city.

Fantastic location near the river easy to navigate around the city from this base, the hotel smells nice. The staff are welcoming and the hotel is a nice place to relax with relaxing music. Nice toiletries in the room along with a decent kettle was fab and a well cleaned room.The buffet breakfast is served well with a good range of food in a nice hygienic area. Mostly everything was fantastic.

The only negatives I can give this place are some small details that I believe are fixable, in my room where I think paintwork had been touched up the painting had been done a little scruffy with paint going onto areas where it shouldn't, masking tape is a must, also the toilet seat was a little bit loose and the seal around the cubicles for the shower and toilet is past it's best moments, these elements have not impacted my stay though, I visited in February so am very happy with what I paid for my stay however if I visited in high season where the price point is much greater I would be disappointed with these little details, to some these would not be an issue but in this hotel there are so many lovely little details I love, the staff the cleanliness, design and feel of this place, get rid of the negative details Editory I will be back to check! Why did I not complain at the hotel? Because it caused no issue for my stay. Would I stay here again? Absolutely I would but it would be only to a certain price point I'm afraid.

We returned to this hotel because we appreciate the location and high standard of cleanliness, helpfulness, comfort. Breakfast quality and service last year excellent. Did not use this year.

The hotel is cozy, clean and in good price. Bonus - free tea and cakes. Very nice staff.

The hotel has a water problem so I was transferred to another hotel which was a disappointment as I wanted that particular location. The new Editory Art hotel was a nice hotel, and staff went out of their way to help me as I am disabled. They were so kind and considerate. Breakfast was excellent but I would have preferred a buffet rather than being waited on . Bed was very comfortable. We

There was nothing in the neighborhood in way of restaurants, shops, etc. The handicap shower has no curtain or partition to prevent the entire bathroom from flooding when I showered. There was no pmspace on bathroom sink to put my cosmetic bag. The space between bed and wall was too narrow for my wheelchair so I couldn't access the closet to hang my clothes. So usable space was very small. Electric outlets were too low on the floor for a handicap person to access, had to keep cellphone charger in the bathroom close to water from sink.

My room was on the first floor towards the road so it was very noisy

The location is excellent, right in the heart of Ribeira, within walking distance of the main attractions, restaurants and the riverfront. The building itself is beautifully blending historic charm with a modern, tasteful design. The room was comfortable, with good quality bedding. We also appreciated the friendly and professional attitude of the staff, who were consistently helpful and welcoming throughout our stay.

The breakfast was rather limited in variety.

The room with a view was ideal for viewing the fireworks on New Year's Eve. We received excellent customer service and many local recommendations.

The room had an odd smell. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Centrally located, with easy accces to the river. Helpful personnel. Breakfast buffet was qualitative but of a small variety.

Superior room 301 had an awfull view to backyard, not much space for 3 persons to stay. Airconditioning was not performing well during cold days, temperature in the room was uncomfortably low during night.
