- It’s was ok for the value, the room was big for a couple. I stay in front of some garden with chairs and people were smoking there, so I hated and they said that I could enter by 12 pm and when I arrived I needed to waiting until 3 pm. So a little disorganized.

Quaint, quiet and safe. Felt like home because staff were exceptional and courteous.
The receptionist and staff of the hotel were really welcoming and nice, I really had a good time there. The place was overall nice and really, really clean, the rooms were carefully cleaned and the housekeeping was really good.
I loved the hotel and everything on it was great, only thing I would like is that the next time we go (because we loved it and we want to repeat on our next trip) is to add something to lock the toilet from inside as it wasn't possible to close it. Something else I would add is that The pillows were missing a little filling.
I had a really great and warm stay at hotel Visconde. The stuff was kind and really helpful and the room was spacious and really clean.
Friendly staff, room was well lit and comfortable. Staff cleaned it every day. Water hot. Fridge in room. Staff gave us a kettle and cups for making tea. Did our laundry for reasonable price. Great food places nearby. Close to a metro station for getting to centre. Would stay again.
Sometimes outside bell would ring in the middle of the night. Limited number of electric plugs and some were in awkward places.
friendly staff
Dangerous marble steps at entrance without handrailParking station closed on SundaysBreakfast cheap but could have been better quality
Room was clean. Bathroom newly remodeled so very modern.
You have to ring the front door every time you want to enter, this can only be done until 12 o'clock at midnight, which can be a bit bothersome.
Near underground station, easy street (paid) parking.
Smelly bathroom due to plumbing, not from lack of cleaning. Disabled toilet which is not suitable for normal use. Hotel door always locked to come in which gives you the impression that it's a bad neighborhood. The door bell is very annoying as it wakes you up at all hours and for some reason the staff also like to shout at each other early every morning. Not value for money.
The staff was really friendly and the AC worked very well.
The bathroom door didn’t close, no privacy. The double bed was too small as well
The only positive thing here was the staff. They are really nice people, very helpful and kind. But unfortunately, they can't do anything about the street, that area, and the neighbors in general. For the price, it would actually be an okay hotel, even aside from the mold and humidity, but when you can't sleep at all, it loses it's one and only function.
The building next door might be a club / disco of some sort, and the music is so loud (even up until 7 am !!!! ) that it's unbearable, and it is impossible to sleep. With a bit of exaggeration, you can even hear people dancing and shouting. At 6:17am we decided to check out, because we couldn't sleep a bit. I could hear the pumping of the music even with earplugs. Unbearable. Absolutely dreadful. We literally became sleep deprived during the weekend we spent there. At this point, they should start thinking about soundproofing the rooms. Our room had a really bad musty odor, a stale smell to it. I guess they are fighting mold or mildew, because the air was really humid in the room, and in the bathroom the plaster was coming off. This alone wouldn't be a problem, but with the loud music, we, unfortunately, had a really bad experience here.
the room we had was an annexe. was single storey with enclosed balcony, like a garden room. The staff were ever so friendly and explained Porto and where to go. Nothing was to much trouble. two minutes walk to Metro (Marques) and took you to centre historico. All in all, an excellent choice of hotel for cleanliness and customer service.
Lovely new bathroom. Outside/ undercover seating area. Comfortable bed. Very clean. Great staff.
Availability of hot drinks in room
The room was spacious, comfortable enough and pleasant but quite simple, the bathroom was great and well-equipped. The cleaning was good in all the facilities. Good location, a walking distance from the old town and several cafes, bakeries, restaurants and a supermarket around. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The wifi was terrible in the room. We missed some chairs in our room. Finally, something noisy (the noise of other guests can be understood but the bell at all hours was quite disturbing).
The staff were helpful and very friendly. The beds were comfortable enough and the bathroom was nice and spacious. The rooms were clean and the linens and towels replaced regularly, so no complaints there. All in all the room was simple but quite pleasant. The location is also very handy. It's easy to get around just by walking from the hotel. We had a good time walking around the neighborhood and there are several great caffes, bakeries, bars and restaurants around.
Though they say parking is available, what they mean is parking is possible on the street outside. Possible is not the same as available. In the end, we had to park at a nearby parking garage which incurring additional costs on our trip. The challenge of navigating the narrow Rua Visconde do Setubal and securing parking was not enjoyable. Beyond that, the doors are a bit thin so it's quite common to hear staff or other guests walking by your room. It's not a big deal, but we weren't particularly thrilled about it either.
We were in one of the two rear, detached rooms and it was quiet.
The wifi was terrible in the rear, detached room. My grandsons had to go into the main building to use it.Also, we reserved a quadruple, three-bed room (one full and two twins) and they put us in a room with two beds (one full and one twin). I had to produce the booking with description on my phone and really press the issue in order for them to change our room.
The location was great for the hotel. The room was cozy
A lot of things I didn't like... There was terrible smell of smoke, our hair, clothes everything was smelling of smoke. We had a very bad time trying to sleep because of the smoke. The wardrobe was almost broken and smelled bad.The wifi was terrible, took us 2 days to connect. There was no extra blanket for when it was too cold. We had to leave 2 days ago and had to cancel our vacation. The bed was so soft that our back were hurting in the morning.
the staff was super friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem for them.
some of the sheets were a bit dirty. It was probably some stains that never come out, but it still made it a bit unpleasant.
