Pros +
- Everything was amazing! The staff was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were so nice and all the shared spaces súper cool! 10/10 would recommend
- Location is fun. Lobby and public area is comfortable and good for hanging out and being relaxed in a hip manner..
- Excellent location and very friendly staff. The room was as expected and the atmosphere in the common area awesome. There is also a Coffee Shop at the 2nd floor of the building.
Cons -
- The private rooms are way overpriced. I don’t understand other than apparently they can get the price, but they’re ridiculous.
- The fact that the elevator was out-of-order during our stay
- I don’t recommend it for older travelers. The elevator was broken and based on other reviews, it seems like it never works. You have to walk 5 flights of stairs to your room which is hard with luggage. There’s a bar which is great for younger travelers but maybe not for older travelers. It’s VERY noisy. There doesn’t appear to be any insulation inside so every time someone closes a door, it slams loudly and shakes the walls. It doesn’t seem like people adhere to the 10:00 pm quiet time. Also, although it’s not on a main street, there are bars and restaurants outside and the windows don’t block the noise. When I checked in, no one explained the “rules”. For example I didn’t know until the last night that I could use my card to get into the door from the outside at night and I’d been buzzing reception to let me in which they seemed annoyed about.

The common area.

Reception staff so hip. Easy to check in. Room was clean and spacious.Location is great- and easy walk to the usual sites in Porto such as the train station, the churches, etc.We had port wine as a welcome drink
For the price, and it is a hostel, it is what it is.
Overall great location.
Being a busy area makes its noise and if the window is closed it gets stuffy in the room quickly. You just need ear plugs.
Location
You can hear everything that happening and the floor creaking outside the room in the corridor and neighboring rooms makes it very hard to sleep.
The common area feels very welcoming. The staff is super nice and helpful and there for you 24/7. The kitchen is clean. The bedsheets were clean.
The house is quite old, so you can hear every step from people walking in the corridor or in the rooms while you’re lying in bed. The beds are unstable – if someone is packing their things on the lower bunk and you’re on top, the whole bed shakes. The street outside the hostel is very noisy. Even though the windows block some sound, at least one person in the dorm will open them at night (whether the AC is on or not), and you end up waking up from the street noise. The bathroom has mold on the walls, which might be common in Portugal but is still unpleasant. And bring your own lock – the hostel doesn’t provide locks for the lockers.
Very good location in the center near to everything
I didn’t like the 12 bedroom but it was okay as you paid for a sleep , and they have a what’s group but when i”m trying to communicate with others travels no communication and didn’t make any social event inside the hostel to make me know others travels but they do just pub crawl
The living room was comfy with lots of spots to hang out. Clean. Perfect location!
The floor in my room was sticky.. but not at all dirty. Maybe too much cleaner during mopping? Industrial hallways.
Location is excellent!
Check in process took at least 30 minutes due to a shift change, staff seemed unbothered/didn’t move with much haste.
A place like home only better! Everything you could ask for, GREAT staff. A fun atmosphere with an in-house bar, a perfect location 3 blocks from the train, interesting and diverse guests who are respectful and kind.
I appreciated the staff that checked me in. He was friendly and welcoming.
The room were small and people had left stuff laying around. Nothing bad, just could be improved.
There was an issue with the number of beds on the reservation, my fault, not theirs. Nonetheless, the staff worked hard to get us a room with enough beds at no extra charge to us. All the staff were helpful and genuinely welcoming. Very kind. They kept public spaces, bathrooms, etc. Very clean. Highly recommended.
Located near Sao Bento station. Safe. Friendly staff. Good Breakfast option. Public space to do work. Shared refrigerator. Welcome drink of Porto wine. Saved me bottom bunk because I have arm disability.
The dorm rooms could offer some hooks to hang towels and in bunk bed space for- pillows need to be more comfortable. Better regulations - to help young travelers to respect shared space.
Location , very accommodating staff that was available 24/7.The reception/lounge area is very friendly and welcoming. While most people are young, as an older, solo traveling, woman I felt very welcome
The street noise is very noticeable, but recognize that is what comes with being centrally located. So I will take the noise and it’s location any day.
Location is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had a private room with bath. The room is surprisingly spacious and comfort.
No refrigerator in the room. The elevator was out of order when we arrived, but it got fixed the next day.
I really like the staff, atmosphere and the planning which the hostel held. In general I love it and next time if I was in Porto definitely the hostel is my first choice.
Nothing especial
The bed is comfortable and clean. The common area is chill and relaxing. The shower and toilet are separated. The shower is strong enough.
There are only two shared toilets and two shower rooms for females, which is not enough for 4 to 5 dorm room use. The locker under the bed is too narrow for my 40L Backpack. When I checked in at around 7:30pm, there was a welcome drinks name list which was signed by some guests. But I wasn't asked for this.
I stayed in a private room. Very good size, with private bathroom and view to the street. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location very central, walking distance to the train station or the main points of thr city
The bed mattress was not so comfortable
