Super clean and great location.

Decor was very tired. The soap in the bathroom was unusable (highly perfumes) - which seems a small thing but was inconvenient.

Lactation few minutes walking distance from Via Catarina and close distance by car from Campanha train station.

Near the Metro

Charged for anything extra. A Pepsi Coke and a very small bottle of beer €9.60 from the mini fridge. Charged €1.80 for small drop of milk for a cup of tea.Robbery. Charged tourist tax that Booking.com never mentioned. I booked for 2 adults but charged an extra €60 euro on the room price. Charged extra for bread and water with meal. Construction going on from 7am in the morning beside the hotel, so no late sleep in. Lines of homeless people sleeping outside the hotel. Booking. com would need to advvise customers on these facts insted of the inflated waffle they have on their website about this hotel. Trip Adviser always tells the truth and informs customers. Very disappointing overall.

No air conditioner working in room, blew off our complaint, place is also dirty

The "air conditioning" did not provide air conditioning. We were awake all night sweating. we called front desk/no one answered.

This hotel is well located within the city of Porto and has several places around where you can shop. The swimming pool shares the floor with the gym, sauna and jacuzzi and they have a pretty good view of the city. The receptionist was very kind and nice.

The hotel feels a bit dated already, you can tell that it’s due a refresh.

The facilities for family, breakfast is amazing

Make the reservation for use swimming pool has no sense once we are in 2025, no Covid anymore. The swimming pool is too cold should be hotter.

Really nice hotel and room. Nice bar with live music. Pool, steam room etc, very good.

Breakfast was good, but they have Nescafe coffee machines, which are awful. And only two of them, which is not enough for the number of guests.

Location

For the price, you can't give 4 stars, in my opinion, the room was super small and the spare bed for my son, was not a bed, there were some irons and he was not comfortable at all, the carpet in the room is not cleaned well, because my son who has allergies, coughed all night. So my opinion, not that it's too bad, but for the price and accommodation, I don't think it deserves 4 stars.

If you can only 1 hour the spa, the jacuzzi was not working and the indoor pool was cold.

The staffs were nice and they did tried their best to facilitate all our requests. I wrote a lot under "what didn't you like" but they are just details. Overall I think the hotel is good value for its price. It is just a very old hotel but the staffs are all doing their best. And with 200 euro per night for a 4 people room (2 adults+2 kids) including breakfast I would say very fair.

I booked the hotel because they have a good enough size indoor swimming pool. As mentioned in so many other reviews, the whirlpool was out of order so it doesn't seem they made any effort to repair it. And on the last day, they closed the swimming pool and the gym because there was a leak. My kids were very disappointed. The breakfast is ok, quality and variety as expected.It is not a centrally-located hotel, but since it is a big hotel (very tall building by Porto standard) I didn't expected it to be in the centre of the old town. For us it is actually very convenient, we can walk to Rue da Santa Caterina (maybe wrongly spelled) within 10 minutes, and next to a big supermarket. Everything else can be reached by foot in 30 minutes, or less than 5 euro of Uber ride. Overall, it is a 4 star hotel past its glorious time :-). The furniture (and its style) is old, but it is not something that bothers me. Oh one more thing, which might be very upsetting for some people (like my mum). When we first arrived in the our room, we found a bed bug on the bed, and according to my son, he had got rid of at least 4 or 5 from his cloths during his staying on the bed (he never saw bed bugs before and didn't take it seriously until he pointed one next to me). We immediately showed it to the cleaning ladies. I was happy that the cleaning ladies were taking it very seriously (in fact, one looked very shocked) and they had someone over to examine. And very soon they gave us a different room.
