The decor is lovely and spacious with sitting areas and a small bar. The rooms are nicely decorated.
The hotel is perfectly located: right in the city center, yet on a very quiet street. Getting there is easy, with three different metro stations just a short walk away. The hotel itself is stylish, with its own history and charm, and I especially loved the garden-facing rooms. From the upper floors, you get one of the nicest views in the area. Small details make the stay even more pleasant, such as the kettle with tea, coffee, and cookies provided as a compliment. The breakfast is very good, and there are also many excellent places nearby. The staff are sincerely welcoming and offer great recommendations on where to eat (their advice on December 25 was especially helpful). I stayed twice during the winter, and the rooms were well-heated and very cozy. I will definitely come back.
extraordinary classic hotel! very friendly staff (especially the girl on night reception on 6th to 7th of December)! very lovely room, clean facilities, comfy bed, professional staff! would definitely book again once in porto! thanks a lot!

The hotel was centrally located, just a few minutes walk from the world's most gorgeous McDonald's restaurant. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and professional.
The room we booked was a little too compact. Additionally, we were unable to use an elevator to bypass the staircase with our big suitcases. Since the room was located just one level above, and overlooking the street, we could hear some noises until late at night. This did not bother us that much, though, as it added some excitement to staying in the middle of where the action is.
BREAKFAST WAS AVARAGE AT BEST. IF YOU DON'T EAT MEAT THERE ARE EVEN LESS OPTIONS. GOOD LOCATION BUT IN AN ALLEY WHERE TAXIS FIND HARD TO REACH
NO SAFE IN THE ROOM. VERY SMALL ROOM, DIDN'T NOT SMELL GOOD. WHEN I ASKED TO CLEAN THE ROOM THEY FORGOT.
Location in city center on a quiet street. It’s historical building. Fantastic breakfast. Garden area. Staff
Small room. It felt very crowded
I loved the hotel and the location of it. The room was perfect for solo travel and the staff were really friendly and helpful, also I left my luggage there while I waited for my flight so that was great.
Unbeknownst to us, the Grande Hotel Paris is the oldest hotel establishment in Porto. With its whimsical historical features blended with modern decor and well appointed rooms, our stay was incredible. While conveniently located in the tourist core, we had a quiet interior room that looked onto a beautiful court yard. Hotel staff were very helpful with travel recommendations as well as catering to bar and drink requests. The breakfast, while not included, was well worth the price and was a complete buffet style breakfast.
Location was good; restaurants and shopping near.
The bedroom floor was sloping causing bed to slant and making it very uncomfortable to sleep. The shower door didn't close completely, water on bath floor; bad smell from shower drain.
Great location, little small room, great staff
the location was central but on a busy street for nightlife
our room wasn't ready until 4:30. I was blamed for requesting a room away from the elevator when the truth is my room is always the last one cleaned every day and the cleaning crew is understaffed. for a four star hotel, hire sufficient cleaning crew.
The hotel is centrally located but noisy nightlife.
The bearded front desk agent recognized me from a previous visit and instead of welcoming me back, turned to his manager and started whispering about me. I spent four nights at this hotel and still felt unwelcomed. The young front desk staff is friendly and helpful but the manager and her senior front desk agent did their best to ignore me (literally making a call while I stood in front of her waiting for help.) Odd way to treat someone who spent four nights in one month at the hotel. I became persona non grata after asking to check in at four and the room not being ready.
Central location
Bad smell, very tiny room, barely space in the bathroom, dirty, rundown walls, no cleaning
Fantastic location in the center of everything, just be aware that it is near a nightclub district and people walking by on the street at night can be very noisy. Bring ear plugs. The breakfast area and courtyard are charming, but the lobby could use some repairs The carpet is dingy and dirty looking. The rooms are small as expected but the bed was very comfortable. If you want the breakfast you have to pay for it when you check in, or it will cost you more 3 euros more after check in. Parking is available at a discount from a nearby garage.
The flooring was dingy and dirty looking. The noise in the street can be loud at night. No safe in the room. Bathroom lighting is terrible.
We arrived early and couldn't check in. We toured around Porto and then relaxed in the beautiful courtyard garden behind the hotel. The location was perfect and our new favorite restaurant was right across the way. The room was wonderful and the bed was very comfortable. I know this must have been something in its Hay Day they have weddings and banquets and it looks like those are the he says really called
Location is great
The staff aren’t nice especially the guy who works late at night. He was so rude, so unhelpful and extremely condescending
The location is great
The rooms are old and small with a need of an update.Closet doors don’t work, no safe in rooms not enough light in the room Breakfast could use more variety
