    Cons -

    • The bed was a little too hard for me. This hotel is located in a very residential area so you will need either public transportation or car to get to most tourist attractions.
    • No fridge or microwave in the rooms
    • The oversized chair made using the provided desk very difficult. The windows did not block out as much road noise as other windows used across hotels in Europe.

Location was a close and easy walk to two tram/metro stations. The on location restaurant was convenient. The next door store and petrol station were convenient.

    Location, staff

There is a bad smell of sewage at the bathroom

Breakfast was very good, the room was very clean. I wish there could be more wall hangers for towels and clothes in the bathroom and room.

When we arrived there, the front entrance door was locked, it was pouring raining and it took a while for the front desk cleark come to open the door for us. I have never seen a hotel with locked doors during the day. It was about 3pm. The location is a bit far from the center so we had to get taxis to the center and back to the hotel. There are plenty of taxis in the city so it's easy to get them. The buses not always accept credit card. So we gave up on waiting for a us and not taking our cards. We had no problems for buses in Lisbon. Even the cute old tram took our cards.

We enjoyed that the room and bathroom were modern and well kept. The big shower was lovely, and it was great that there was an iron and ironing board in the room, and recycling bins. If you don't want to stay in the city center, but still not too far away from restaurants and transport (metro and buses), the location is fine.

    - The location was noisy because of the busy road on one side of the hotel and the train on the other side. Our room was almost never quiet. If you are sensitive to sounds, make sure to bring earplugs if you choose to stay here. - The room was very compact, and part of the bathroom as well. - There was a strange smell from the bathroom (sewage?), which we also noticed in other parts of the hotel. - There was not enough room for hanging or storing clothes, despite a few hangers and hooks on the wall. The hangers were right above the space where you were supposed to put your suitcase, which left very little space for hanging clothes. - We also lacked some basic things, like a small fridge and a makeup mirror. - The breakfast room was crowded, with too much furniture for the space. People kept bumping into each other and the furniture. On our last day, there was too little staff at breakfast, and dirty dishes on almost all tables. The breakfast itself was fine overall, but we would have liked there to be more vegetables. - The staff at the reception and breakfast rarely took the initiative to look at, smile at or greet the guests. We were the ones who said good morning, hello and goodbye to them, rather than the other way around.

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Porto and had a generally positive experience. The hotel is in a great location, close to both the bus and train stations, making it easy to get around. It’s also within a 10 minute walk of a large supermarket and near a shopping centre with plenty of eateries, including a food hall, very convenient for meals and essentials. The breakfast was lovely, with a good selection of hot food included, which was a nice way to start the day. We also appreciated the complimentary toiletries available on request, like toothpaste, toothbrushes, and cotton wool, small but thoughtful touches. The shower and washing facilities were clean and well maintained.

Our only real issue was that our room was positioned right by the hotel's illuminated sign. Even with the curtains fully closed, the room stayed quite bright at night, making it difficult to sleep. If you're a light sleeper, it might be worth requesting a room away from the signage.Overall, a good stay with great amenities, but the lighting issue affected our rest.

Good price-value match for Porto in a famous hotel net!+ Hotel Room. Everything matches the photo and the description: well-maintained and nice rooms over there.+ Personnel. Very attentive and friendly personnel: starting from the reception up to restaurant and the cleaning crew. It was very comfortable to deal with them any time.+ Breakfast. Good breakfast as in the most of good hotels, very nice restaurant.+ Location. Close to the Metro (5 min walk) so it was comfortable to get there. A little bit far from the city center (~40 min walking distance) but less busy and less noisy.Enjoyed the stay here. Thanks for contributing to nice Porto experience!

    - Breakfast. It would be really nice to have some hot meat choices (like bacon or sausages). Personally for me it would greatly improved the breakfast experience.- Fridge. It would be also nice to have a small fridge in the room. We had some cosmetic creams requiring cold place to store. Please treat these are friendly suggestions to slightly improve future guest experience. Good luck!

The room was modern, bed was comfy with option of a hard and soft pillow, water temperature and pressure was just right. Hotel was smelling good, good location, walking distance to supermarket, bus and metro station. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good.

Room was small, but good value for the price.
