The staff was excellent, accommodating our every need, even making dinner reservations for us. The pool and spa was fantastic. The room was lovely and the comfort of the bed was divine. Included in the room was a beautiful decanter of port and candy!

I cannot think of a single thing. Everything exceeded our expectations.

Torel Saboaria is a beautiful hotel with excellent staff. From the very first moment we arrived until the last moments as we left, we were treated with the upmost care and attention. I was genuinely sad to leave such a happy place but I will be looking forward to returning.

Beautiful large rooms with exquisite beds, pillows, towels and amenities. The staff were phenomenal and couldn’t be more attentive and helpful. The restaurant had great breakfast and dinner.

You might stumble upon a perfect combination between impeccable service, comfortable room and delicious food a couple of times in life: this will be one of them. The service was welcoming and incredibly helpful throughout, and truly made us feel at home - Gabriel, Luciano, Inês are among the many lovely folks who made our stay unforgettable. Combine that with a breakfast that is at the same varied but constrained enough that you can choose a series of dishes without feeling stuffed, and you got a winner. But top it all off with a room that is spacious, quiet, comfortable and well stocked with everything you can think of needing, and you have a hotel you’ll want to come back, time and time again. We also made use of the spa facilities, with a lovely steam room, jacuzzi and pool, which were super lovely. Unforgettable holidays.

Beautiful boutique hotel with really excellent and helpful staff. We came for a special anniversary trip and also had some lovely treatments in the spa. Thiago was so helpful and honest with his advice which was greatly appreciated.

Staff were very friendly in this lovely Porto hotel. Spa was amazing. Many thanks to Fatina and Elaine (our masseuses) who were excellent and completely made us relaxed after a long journey on the arrival day.

Restaurant can be improved. Christmas lunch was disappointing.

This review comes from someone with experience in five-star hospitality in the UAE, and I have to say nothing can quite beat the warmth and hospitality of the reception staff at this hotel. They were truly amazing—helpful, attentive, and always checking in on us. From giving detailed tips on local restaurants to accommodating every request we had, they made us feel genuinely comfortable. We’d absolutely come back and recommend it to any friends visiting Porto.The hotel itself is older but has a beautiful, unique boutique design, which we really enjoyed over Christmas. Plus, the location is perfect—just a five-minute walk from a metro station, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets around.

It’s not perfect: the toilet seat could use an upgrade, and the bed was a bit soft for my husband, though fine for me. The breakfast could see a slight improvement too. In our opinion, the temperature of the steam room was too high. But overall, it was amazing value for money and a lovely stay.

Excellent breakfast - catered for a stated allergy.Room 3 is large and very well appointed. Very comfortable bed and great double shower.Close to subway and walking distance of some attractions.Staff were fantastic - some of the best I have ever encountered. Very attentive and honestly intereted in helping on the smallest issues.

No bar, which would have been good. Restaurant was outbooked on 2/3 nights.

This hotel and its staff are one of the best we’ve stayed at in the whole of Europe. Our whole stay from start to finish was more than we could have wished for. The level of attention to detail was second to none, the hotel facilities were beautiful and the food was delicious. It was my husband’s 60th birthday during our stay and the staff went out of their way to make it special. The location itself was ideally placed to the centre and only 25 mins or so from the airport. A definite 10/10 from us. Thank you for everything, you made our stay memorable.

The best hotel we have ever stayed in. Everything was wonderful. Great food, location, facilities. And a special mention for the staff who were lovely and very attentive and helpful. We really felt at home. Also, it smells wonderful!

Our stay at hotel Torel Saboaria could not have been better. Each member of staff went above and beyond to make our trip special, offering us wine on arrival and recommending a brilliant Portuguese restaurant.We were also upgraded to a suite (for free!) and it was beautiful. Super clean and gorgeous decor with a super comfy bed.Breakfast was great, ala carte but with so many options (and seemingly as much as you could want).I would absolutely return to this brilliant hotel, which is such good value. 5 stars definitely!

The attentive staff made us feel very welcome -even cherished ! The breakfast each day was wonderful and set us up for the day ahead. Our suite was very comfortable with a gorgeous seating area and small kitchen.

A fantastic hotel around 15 to 20minutes walk from nearly all sites and attractions. The hotel staff are exceptional - polite, knowledgeable and helpful. Our room was huge and a lovely space to have after time exploring the city. The breakfast was wonderful and the use of the hamam and hot tub were great when the weather wasn't on our side.

Amazing rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast was phenomenal. Great to have access to the pool, jacuzzi, and steam room. Would recommend to anyone.

A bit of a ways away from the center of town (but easy access to the metro). Views (other than of the garden) were just of the busy street.

We loved every minute of our stay. The room, the breakfast, the jacuzzi, the atmosphere. But the best thing about this hotel is the staff . They are incredibly friendly and welcoming, I have not experienced this in any hotel before.

I was immediately impressed with the professional, welcoming staff and lovely entry to the reception area. We were given a wonderful tour of the grounds, and the facilities were beyond our expectations. The entire staff, from reception to the spa professionals, were personable, welcoming, and professional. We enjoyed two meals in the restaurant, dinner and breakfast, both excellent. The dinner started with a homemade sourdough bread that was so exceptional that we requested a loaf for the next day to take on our travels. I would recommend this accommodation to everyone!

The view from our room and balcony, unfortunately, faced a building across the narrow street, but this is not out of the ordinary for locations in the city center.
