    Pros +

    • It¿s in middle of Matosinhos minutes from colorful ocean scene of cafes, surfers, people watching & surfers. It¿s in middle of a street full of amazing, seafood restaurants where fish is grilled outdoors just off the street.
    • Best hotel experience in many years. Comfy, well appointed, quiet with great breakfast! Maybe 150 feet from the Yellow line- Hospital do Sao Joao stop. yellow line goes straight to SAoBento for the old city. Friendly staff.
    • Free street parking, late night food steps away, large room with modern fixtures, staff willing to offer suggestions.

    Cons -

    • This is located in a suburb type area away from the river, old-town, and port houses. But a great tradeoff if you are driving.
    • The only problem is that the shower is a bit old and needs some time to warm up, but that’s the only issue
    • We purposely booked this place as it was advertised as having air conditioning. Our air conditioning was not working and we had someone come and try to fix it our first night. He did something and told us it would improve overnight. We had a terrible sleep as it did not get better overnight. We complained again in the morning and someone else came to fix it. Again, it didn’t get fixed. They offered us a new room and did not offer any other form of compensation. The first person we spoke to was rude and seemed uninterested. She also wouldn’t reach out to her manager because it was a weekend. She wouldn’t provide us with free breakfast or anything else. Extremely disappointing experience and will never go to another Eurostars hotel.

Everything was really clear, the room is comfortable and spacious, the staff and service are excellent!

The only problem is that the shower is a bit old and needs some time to warm up, but that’s the only issue

Front desk staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The hotel was excellent value for money. It was very convenient for my business meeting, but also to get down to the old city for sightseeing using the Metro.

The room was spacious with a kitchen equipped enough. The bed was quite comfortable.

We were disappointed by their standards of "hot" water. For us it was cold and the receptionist said that in Porto the normal temperature of hot water is around 42°C (obviously it's not true, it's not the first time I'm in Porto).I think most people have their standards set to 55-60°C.On the other hand they tried to help us by increasing the temperature in their boiling system, sometimes the water was indeed nice but not always.Such issues never happened to me in the 4-star hotel.

Excellent hotel, I have booked a room here several times and everything is great. Near the metro, cafes and shops nearby. The room is very comfortable, there is a mini kitchen, tea/coffee/water, apples, you can take sweets for tea downstairs. Very clean, comfortable bed, always quiet.

Everything was perfect, wish every hotel was like this. -The staff is phenomenal, speak multiple languages (english and portuguese + additional languages like Spanish, French etc.). -The room is perfect sized (very big)-Beds are comfy, although if youre 1m90 you need a twin bed for yourself- location is perfect. 200m walking from hotel to the station (metro leaves every couple minutes and goes straight to the city center in 20min) and busses connect to everywhere where the metro doesnt go.

    - This is now my go-to hotel in Porto, because of that, i havent tried many other hotels in Porto.- since you're near student housing it can be loud during the evening because of a couple bars

Hotel with very big and confortable room, having kitchen utilities is a plus. I was able to relax on a confortable environment. Will most probably not be my last stay.

    - Shower must be updated. - For hotel category it is a pity that we cannot connect our devices to the TV or having streaming possibilities. - Noise at night from outside, not Hotel fault.

Size of the room and location and clean and staff was quite nice

Shower was no good - payed for parking but did not used it and they did not make a discout..could not control the room temperature otherwise all good

The breakfast was very good. I also highly rate the staff, who were very helpful. The location of the hotel is relatively good, it is close to the metro and buses.

The room was very cold and the heating could not be turned on, the temperature was probably set centrally. There was a metal door in the wall of the room, which probably led to the street, from which came the noise from the street, barking dogs, late night pub goers, etc. The room had a small kitchenette, even with hotplates, but there was no equipment available, only 2 cups and 2 spoons. When I booked the room, I was sure that if there was a kitchenette, then there would be minimal equipment. The duvet cover was torn, which indicates that the hotel has probably really seen its best days. Wifi was not working properly.

    Great breakfast, nice room

Little noise from the street, the shower could have been cleaner

Awsome hotel in Porto - room was spacious, warm (which is a problem in Portugal), very modern and comfortable. A lot of restaurants and bars around. Metro station is a few minutes walk, thus You can easily get to the centre of Porto.

Very large room, equipped with a small kitchen. We didn't use it, but nevertheless a handy feature.Good bed. Excellent breakfast. Outside the city center, but located close to public transportation, and close to the university.
