    • The Lost Inn Porto Hostelis exceptional! The large reception area, bar, lounge and kitchen are well kept with lots of amenities. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There was plenty of storage as well. Our balcony had a perfect view of the Cathedral as well. You won’t find another hostel like it!

    Cons -

    • Only that we did not stay longer.
    • The bathroom was a bit smelly
    • When we first arrived it was in the evening and it was dark. Once we knew where we were going we were fine.

    Location was the best

The place was clean and well located, but it was quite noisy every night during my stay. There were young guests coming and going until very late (around 3–4 a.m.), which made it hard to sleep. It might be better suited for people who enjoy a lively atmosphere.

Excellent location and a surprise of a beautiful private room. It had a small deck with an amazing view of the town.

    10MardeePosted on: 9-29-2025

The room was quiet, relaxing, and very clean. I could see the cathedral and the steps up to it out my window. The staff were helpful and accommodating. I was concerned with the age recommendation limit of 45, I'm 64, and it being loud, but I had no problems or issues, I did wear earplugs. The bed was very comfortable.

I really don't have any complaints. I enjoyed my stay.

I had a nice dinner prepared by staff. ( I believe on Wednesday and Friday) I enjoyed the company of the staff and my fellow travelers. They were very accommodating for my vegetarian meal request. Great location if you are starting the Camino Portuguese.

The location is fantastic for starting the Camino Portuguese, right by the Catedral and central to visiting other parts of Porto walking. The facilities were clean, our room was clean, there was an elevator to the third floor. The staff was so helpful in letting us store our bags in a very secure locked room and printing some documents for me.

The party vibe seemed forced and not organic, there were many signs posted stating they were only interested in receiving “party pilgrims”

Amazing hostel. I actually stayed here 2 separate times over the course of 2 weeks. Once in the mixed dorm and once in the female only. The second stay was in the female only and what a room. I loved the little balcony & the large open area in the middle of the room. It was perfect for re packing my bag. Great natural lighting as well. Will definitely stay again if I’m back in Porto.

Cool vibe. Really nice hostel. Great location in porto.

Blaring music at 2 am, hard to sleep.

Perfect place for a solo traveler. Excellent location, and great staff. Got myself a private room, which was comfortable. The hostel seems to attract a very social crowd, making it very easy to meet people from all around the world (and the free sangrias at night help too)

    Nothing, would definitely come back

    10MayaPosted on: 9-2-2025

The location of this hostel was exactly what I was hoping for. Close to the Cathedral for starting the Camino and close to all other main sites I wanted to check out. Each bed felt very private with the curtains despite being in a 10 person mixed dorm. There was also a light & plug in with a shelf in each bed pod. Plus 9pm sangria is always a bonus. Would 100% stay again.

We stayed in a private room with our own bathroom. We had a small balcony with a great view of the cathedral. We loved the room. It was clean and comfortable. We were on the third floor so heard none of the noise from the hostel. We purchased the breakfast in the morning for €5 and it was good. We made some sandwiches to take with us on the Camino.

    Clean, great area, modern facilities

The bed and pillow are very uncomfortable

    9PamelaPosted on: 7-29-2025

The location was perfect. My third time staying in Porto and I always stays on the Ribiera. This was nice for being in between Sao Bento and the Ribiera. Also close to the cathedral so you can start the Camino in the morning.

I didn’t know it was a youth hostel (16-45). It doesn’t matter to me, but it did make it awkward to get the email saying it was restricted to that age. I also felt like Mom (or Grandma?) checking up the kids. Haha but it was all cool in the end. I am not bothered by noise or fun!

The property was super cute, friendly staff and good vibes.

It was expensive for the comfort, features of the room, and cleanliness.

    7RevillaPosted on: 7-19-2025

I stayed in a shared room for four and it’s very clean and really nice room with a small shared bathroom. The bathroom is shared by multiple people from other rooms, as well.

This is definitely a party hostile and pretty much everyone there was in their early 20s and they have blaring music until one or two in the morning. The accommodation was fine, but if you stay there be prepared for a lot of noise.

Unreal facilities and staff. So welcoming and looked after all your needs. Beds were comfy and the lockers under the beds were huge and had a lot of space. Location is brilliant and everything is highly accessible through walking.

Only small thing I had was the charging port being on the ceiling of each bed meaning that sometimes during the night the charging port fell out and hit me. Really minor thing however.

Perfect location, staff is so sweet and helpful, extremely comfy beds, full curtains, clean! 10/10 hostel
