Receptionist were candid and helpful throughout. Very friendly. The room was cleaned everyday. Really happy with the service to the money paid

I wish they have a choice of breakfast.

I thought the employees were awesome. The 2 flight of stairs were a challenge to carry suitcases but the desk gal willingly helped carry on the way up and went above and beyond for making our stay comfortable.

Bed was a bit hard and stairway but we were forewarned on the stairway.

We had a room with a small balcony overlooking the garden. We booked the family room being a group of five and had a decent sized room which didn’t feel overcrowded with our own small shower room. We used the garden in the evening having purchased some picnic food from the supermarket. If the evenings had been lighter I could imagine the gardens being a great place to chill out and relax as there are ample seating areas. There is a supermarket just a few minutes walk away. We visited a great coffee shop just around the corner, Cafe Dunas. As it is in a pedestrian area there is no traffic noise and it is in easy walking distance to all the sights. The staff at the hotel were really lovely and very kindly accepted our very late checkin due to our flight time. We were able to store our bags on check out and collect them later that afternoon.

The beds were slightly hard but I think they normally can be in Portugal.

- The location is near to important travelling places- Most of the staff are nice, especially a gal with short hair who informed me about the use of toilet

- The double room is very small. Because of constraints of building structure, the toilet is narrow. Sink is small.- I expect to use the card that was used for booking.com but found that Amex is not acceptable. It’s difficult if I haven’t brought another card.- Cleaning lady knocked the door too loudly. The room was open immediately and I did not have time to say “no cleaning required”. It’s embarrassing if I was changing. The loud knock triggered my heart beat problem.- I already entered every details in booking.com. The overnight staff asked me to fill in information again.

Good location close to Lello library, everything can be done by foot in the city centre.

Bed mattress was too soft and there is insufficient noise insulation between the rooms on the second floor.

The location is excellent, close to many attractions around the city. The room was clean and with a great view of the garden on the back. The breakfast was nice with a variety of fruits and pastries. The staff is friendly and make us fell at home but what I liked the most was the garden on the back where I was able to relax.

It was well situated . It was in a quiet street. We had an attic room which we did expect, the room was compact but acceptable. Breakfast was basic continental but well worth 8 euros.

Three flights of stair but we did anticipate this.

The location, the staff are friendly and of course the cleanliness of the hotel feels like home

The location is great. The room with balcony overlooking a beautiful garden was exactly what I wanted. The building is old and has character which I like and reception staff was very pleasant with excellent English.

The internet could be better.
