    • Clean, quiet, helpful staff, great space

    Cons -

    • The smallest shower I¿ve ever seen- and broken shower doors were shameful
    • Have no elevator and they put me on the 5 th floor. I had to carry my suitcase all the way to 5 th floor and hurt my low back. I was supposed to do the camino a Santiago and I couldn’t because of that. The people at front didn’t even offer help to carry the bags whatsoever. I ask for another room and they refused saying they didn’t have one. Nowhere when I booked the room said there is no elevator. I am going back to my country with so much pain in my back and couldn’t do the Camino.?????
    • The public hall lighting was bad making it uncomfortable to walk the hallways after dark. The shower in the bath was awkward and almost dangerous to get in and out of. There was insufficient toilet paper for 5 nights/2people and NO towels..paper or cloth in the kitchen.

The location was wonderful and the overall space of the apartment was good.

The public hall lighting was bad making it uncomfortable to walk the hallways after dark. The shower in the bath was awkward and almost dangerous to get in and out of. There was insufficient toilet paper for 5 nights/2people and NO towels..paper or cloth in the kitchen.

    Central location Big room

    Very old bathrooms No shampoo

    5ChrisPosted on: 10-10-2025

The location is great and right next to the market.

Very strong chemical smell of the cleaning agents and the construction noise and very bright light that shone randomly kept us up.

Location. Easy access to the metro. Center of traveling.

Noises from the road. Hardly sleep at night.

Great location, get off the metro from the airport and you are right there! Amazing

It was all I needed. No luxury, nice and safe lodging with front desk staffed 24/7

The location and staff were very nice.

The property does not have a lift and my room was almost on the 4th floor. It is quite old, and noisy as it is not properly isolated. Shower was very small and very difficult to get it. Internet connection is quite bad, I barely could work. Not even a small lamp in the night table, towels were old and broken.

    Great location and friendly staff.

Bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom smelled and the shower was very small.

    The stairs

I was on the fourth floor with no elevator with 30 kilos of luggages . The pillows were full of hairs, the room was too small and to ugly for the price I paid

Everything was great, good location, well, not good, its actually perfect, the people working at the hotel are amazing, from receptionist to the cleaning ladies, the room matched its description and we had a lovely stay.

    7AngelaPosted on: 8-13-2025

The staff was great, it was very clean, and the location was perfect!

The bed was extremely uncomfortable-very hard with lots of springs poking me.

    Amazing space, good old building

Some of the bathroom were worn off. But too bad and matches expectations based on attractive price

    Location

Smelly toilets, noisy room, massive construction in from of the hotel which wasn’t mentioned nowhere, poor staff treatment

    3YUSUFPosted on: 7-10-2025

The location is central and convenient, making it easy to reach many places.

All the noise from the street could be clearly heard in the room. The municipal trash bins were located right in front of our window, and the sound of the garbage truck was disturbing. If the window was open, the smell of the trash and insects became a real issue. The bathroom was extremely small—more like a symbolic addition than a functional one, and using it was quite difficult. Communicating with the staff was difficult, and most of them were disrespectful. Except for one person, the others didn’t really listen to us.

The staff were great and the location was fabulous. It lives up to it's designation of being the "oldest" hotel in Porto.

Our room was in the front of the hotel and it we were wakened early in the morning to clashing and clanging of bottles from the recycling bin right outside our window.

Functional room, balcony opened for a Santa Katarina church. In general, it is a good place for staying 3 nights. Outside hotel Bolhão metro station (connected with airport). Nice and helpful staff. Perfect WiFi.

There weren't glasses on the window, just wooden door to close. In the morning and evening, the humidity came into the room because doors didn't cover a room correctly. Tiny space between bed and wall for going to bath. Very old furniture and floor (need to be renovated definitely). No elevator (unfortunately).

Great central location for exploring Porto and friendly staff

    Room was a bit small!
