Pros +
- I really liked the hotel as a whole and its unique charm. The breakfast was above standard, with good quality and variety, and both the staff and the pool contributed positively to the overall experience. It’s a pleasant and characterful place to stay. Bar evening staff was amazing.
- Old charm, beautiful and good location overall
- Staff / location … the staff was wonderful, very clean and good food
Cons -
- As a returning guest, I was expecting some form of upgrade, which didn’t happen. Paid parking did not make much sense, especially since it was not charged during my previous stay. The check-in process also felt quite cold and administrative, lacking warmth or hospitality — more like submitting a tax return than arriving at a hotel.
- Breakfast was not great. Poor selection, coffee was lukewarm warm and for anything that required to be made like omelettes, waffles or scrambled eggs it took a really long time. The last day we just left because we got tired of waiting
- Tried to give me a tiny attic room that was hot and you had to duck to get in the closet . I was there for 12 days and I was not made priority despite that. I asked to switch rooms and I got a much better room but not the view I paid for. The rooms were very hot and I had to request for more AC which worked sometimes

Beautiful Interior and happy that the sauna was working after some maintenance.
Attention to detail and management of staff towards guests.
Breakfast was very, very nice. Incredible service. The ambience of the whole hotel is amazing.
Having to make a reservation too use the gym.
Bed quality, architecture, spa, gym
First I was located in a room below the street level - awkward view. Claustrophobic. Not worth the prize. Upon my request I was given a 3rd floor room with a great view.
Beautiful property located on the sea
They nickel and dime you for everything. I requested an iron but they said they don’t do that and instead charge you for each item you have to have “pressed.” Parking? 25 euros per day. Breakfast buffet? 100 Euros for two people.
Breakfast was very good with a lot of buffet choices as well as hot food. I particularly enjoyed the fresh Oysters and Champagne. Service was efficient and friendly
The fitness centre had to be pre-booked and timings did not always fit with my own schedule
Beautiful grounds. Quiet, out of the way places to sit and relax. The people who work here are polite and welcoming. Many remember names and room numbers. They are helpful in every way.
Pillows are too big and don’t have enough give. The view in our room was a wall. I wish we would have splurged on an upgrade.
location in general, room was clean and comfortable, some of the staff were nice.
Seems like a hotel for the wealthy. A few of the staff were downright nasty
Great location, great restaurant, excellent room, good pool, good breakfast
Staff needs fine tuning, a bit more training. But very friendly.
Comfortable room, good spa, good breakfast, good restaurant, nice location, overall a nice place to stay
The music in the breakfast room was horrible, just small detail that ruined the experience
Breakfast was excellent including selection, service and location.
We had dinner one evening at the Flor de Lis Restaurant which the wine and service were not acceptable. We declined first bottle of wine and with next they gave us tasting out of already opened bottle and then presented us a new bottle which was not as good as the tasting. The food was okay but would not dine there again.
Absolutely beautiful location opposite the beach and many great restaurants and bars! A 2km walk to superb beaches and bars on the beach as well as banks and shopping. Rooms beautiful and spacious and the balcony is a great place to view the amazing sunsets! Breakfast was amazing, even offering a glass of Moet & Chandon and oysters - truly decadent indeed! Absolutely a luxurious place to stay!
Swam in the Atlantic, but sadly not enough time to swim in the pool…
There's a lovely ambience about this hotel. Beautiful old house merged (via a cool tunnel) with a modern, well designed, hotel. The gym, spa, sauna etc were all very well laid out and aesthetically pleasing. We'll be back!
The brekky was outstanding
The spa was brillant, but for the amount of room vs the number of beds was not enough. Once we had to sit by the pool to wait.
Breakfast was excellent. Very wide choice.Location on the wide promenade adjacent to the sea was beautiful. Spa facilities were excellent. For a high quality hotel it was very reasonably priced, good value.Would hope to return.
Very minor detail. Bathroom sink plug did not work, but not significant.Care necessary on the spa polished marble floor when wet.
Very nice hotel with friendly staff . Excellent breakfast , amazing view and clean rooms .
Service was amazing! Helped me with reservations for a booked out restaurant and whenever I wanted to leave, the car was ready!
Nice property but they don’t keep the rooms clean and they charge you for everything used even tissue.
Over charging people constantly
