The staff was very kind and helpful, thr idea of having room on the jungle kind of was very peaceful

The room was very low maintenance, ghe towels, sheets was very old ,and they haven't cleaned the room after the first night. This is really not 5 star hotel

Very nice resort in traditional style embedded in a spice farm. Feels very peaceful.If I travel again in this area I will lodge there again.

As we stayed only for three nights to visit perryartigerreserve we wanted to make the best of our time. Unfortunately we learned only after our arrival from the resort desk about all opportunities and missed some of the most exciting excursions.

Very tasty food with good buffet selection. Attentive staff. Lovely woodland setting. Good massage. Cosy feeling overall. Easy to book local activities.

We were unlucky to have a nocturnal bird screeching all night in the tree above our cabin which made sleep very difficult, but it was not there on the third night. The joys of the forest !

A little gem of a place with bungalows set in the forest. The staff were lovely, and the pool area quite magical. At our request the hotel also organised a yoga teacher to come first thing in the morning and that was also excellent.

They had turkeys at the property and they wake you up at sunrise with their loud gobbling ?.

The resort is green and beautiful. Lots of trees, like in a forest.

The breakfast was very poor.But dinner was very testy.The room is very simple for 5 star hotel.There are lots of stairsThey have only one massage person, so no availability at all.

Food was excellent and made to our preferences. The cottage decor was aesthetic. The massage and sauna were excellent.

No complaints whatsoever.

Won't say it's 5 star and doesn't have enough facilities to be called a resort. For example, very limited recreational activities

Beautiful grounds and stunning approach as you enter the resort from the hustle and bustle. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the facilities were lovely, same as most of the rooms. The food too was good quality and varied.

We were a bit disappointed with our room as first. We stay with family and their room in comparison to ours was worlds apartment with a private terrace and high ceilings. Ours looked onto a banking by the pool and was cramped with lots of grab rails in the bathroom so it didn’t feel luxury despite the price we paid which was highly inflated due to Christmas time. When we mentioned this to Shirley, she sorted us with a new room right away which was appreciated and was much nicer.

The property is beautiful and the cottages too are spacious. Lots of greenery and the experience of being with nature is fantastic.The staff is friendly and helpful. The food and service was also very good.

Windows should have nets so that they can be opened otherwise the room gets stuffy.The door needed some work. It was getting stuck and difficult to close.

The staff were so friendly and lovely. The resort was beautiful. we chose the villa with the private pool which is great if you want lots of privacy that felt a bit seperate from the rest of the resort and pool (which lots of people might like). the food was surprisingly good value for somewhere far from other restaurants. the hotel were great at organising things for us e.g taxi and a trip to gavi. would highly recommend the jeep and trek trip to Gavi.

A perfect getaway. The soothing nature sounds, greenery, cool breeze and the period colonial style interiors coupled with great service made this short trip very memorable.

A TV in the room would have been great. Also something should be done about the jagged approach road from the Main Street. It is a narrow lane, too bumpy and unpaved.

We had a wonderful family stay at the Amritara Shalimar this April. The location is absolutely fantastic, in the middle of nature surrounded by lush green trees and plants. We enjoyed our 4 nights at the resort. The food was delicious, and the aryuvedic treatments were professional. The staff helped us to arrange transportation and activitivities. Special thanks to Sneha for all her efforts and care.We also enjoyed the show if traditional dances from Tamil Nadu, which was performed during the weekend.

Food preparation took a little long, it's recommend to place an order ahead of time.Aryuveda treatment availability is limited, as there is only one therapist available.

It was all very relaxing and remote, and the staff is super friendly and helpful.

The hot water didn’t work one day. The wifi was working very intermittently. The food was very good but expensive. Overall overpriced.

Shirley (reception staff) was lovely, the pool was amazing and the sound of the crickets.

The Staff was excellent for every service request. They wanted to do more to make us satisfy

Everything other than the staff was just average. We had 3 rooms and since the climate was hot and since they did not had the A/C s in any of the rooms our stay was miserable. The management has done no maintenance at the property since the inception and they are just milking the investments made more than a decade ago. The rooms are very overpriced to the outdated facilities. They were just trying to avoid the authentic Indian/Kerala cuisine and were trying to imitate something else which was also a disaster. Booking.com should has some technique to check if the photos displayed for their hotels are real and is updated. In the case of this hotel the photos displayed seems to have taken very long back as the surroundings and the garden seems very miserable. We went to have some relaxation there but the sound of the crickets the whole day long except the night made our pleasure trip a disaster trip...
