Poetree, Thekkady

Once the room aired out, it was really quite lovely. Spacious, quiet and clean.

My only real complaints were relatively trivial. The tv speaker was blown and made an awful noise. However, when I did want to watch tv, the wifi worked great and I was able to stream on my iPad. The hot water heater didn't stay hot for very long.

We enjoyed the staff and room and facilities. Everything was great.

The breakfast menu and room service menu are limited in scope for Non-Indian folks.

The staff in the property were excellent and was always attentive very friendly. Beautiful view, especially on the 360° terrace. The pool or the view from the pool Infiniti pool was amazing. We appreciated the staff member who took our pictures at the 360 which turned out really great. Hehehehe!(inside joke)!

I wish there was a bit more lighting, specially around nighttime, and around the steps that you’re going through to the room. The gym is not off four star quality. It only had two old treadmill and weights only up to 10 KG. The room key kept getting demagnetized, but they said they’re working on upgrading the key card system.

Beautiful view and the hotel grounds are amazing. Infinity pool was superb.

While choosing ala carte even though the rates are comparatively high and the portions was small.

The property is amazing… Staff is always on toes to help you with everything… they even conducted some fun games which really amazing, it added value to our stay… food was delicious… chef was always there to keep a check on us…

The WiFi didn’t work properly even for basic browsing . Glad I didn’t plan to work from there.

This is my second time here, and will definitely be back for another visit.The cottage view is amazing, rich flora around. Food is exceptional. They have a beautifully curated menu.I must mention the hospitality by the staff. You feel so welcomed and taken care of.

From the moment we reached, warm hospitality of the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. We were immediately captivated by the awesome, panoramic views from the property – a truly breathtaking sight that added magic to our entire stay.The dining experience was also a significant highlight. The food was consistently delicious, and we especially appreciated the impressive variety offered at both their breakfast and dinner buffets.A big thank you to the wonderful staff who made our stay even more special. We are particularly grateful to Mr. Suresh for capturing awesome photographs that will serve as lasting memories of our trip. His talent and friendly demeanor were truly appreciated. We also want to extend our thanks to the restaurant staff, especially Ms. Anuja, for being so incredibly friendly and engaging with our kids. Her warmth and kindness made our dining experiences even more enjoyable for the whole family

For ₹13,000, Poetree Resort is overpriced and not worth it. While the property is quite large, the rooms are small, and the balconies feel dull with no lively elements added. There were no activities for guests, and the so-called “high tea” consisted of just tea and coffee with onion bhujia, served in a cramped 15x12 ft room—no cookies or kid-friendly options.The buffet was disappointing in both taste and variety, for both dinner and breakfast, with absolutely no options for kids. However, the staff was amazing—always helpful and attentive.Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying at Poetree for this price.

Disappointing

Disappointing Stay I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay. Upon arrival, we discovered that the heater in our room wasn't working. After multiple calls, a technician came, but unfortunately, the heater still wasn't hot enough to be of any use.We then called housekeeping to clean the room and check the heater. The staff member walked in with dirty shoes, tracking mess throughout the room, and I ended up having to clean it myself.To make matters worse, my son became very ill during our stay. When I called reception to ask for a thermometer to check his temperature, I was shocked to learn that they didn’t have one available. For a hotel of this size, it's unbelievable that they don't even have basic medical supplies or facilities.We checked in late, around 6 PM, and left early the next morning at 9:30 AM, but the overall experience was so bad that we feel our money was not well spent. I would not recommend staying here, as it was far from the quality and service expected from a hotel of this caliber.

I would like to praise whole team of poetree, staring from reception tinu, annagah,.. Mr smil Suresh, who really took awesome pictures of all... really friendly and accepting all of us with great smile, also who resturant team... We would like to re visit this resort in upcoming future... and stay 2 or 3 days more ... so can really explore near by places... Thank you Poetree Thekkady team

Location, swimming pool

Delay in check-in process

Stay was excellent. The rooms were clean , with a nice swimming pool and a garden. The property is at the hill top and the view from there was very good. The restaurant was also very good , had a variety of food for breakfast and for dinner Buffett.We took an ayurvedic spa as well and it was also excellent. I will definitely recommend this place

The road to the poetree is not good

Staff were very polite and friendly, and helped us out at all times needed.Especially mahesh and all the others in the dining space. I wanna name them all for the great work done when we were there.
