Pros +
- Exceptional property in appearance, value, and staff. If I go back to Sorrento it is only place I will stay!
- Location was perfect. So close to the main bus line and just steps from town
- The location was excellent and water views from the dining room and patio area are spectacular. The staff is professional and excellent.
Cons -
- The bathtub and shower are dated. However the staff advised of that and that it is being updated.
- loose tiles on my floor. Towels were very thin. Shower leaked onto the floor. Thermostat did not work. Lobby furniture was very bad. One couch had a cushion missing and the other couch was so low that it was very difficult to get up
- The street noise was significant from our ¿city view¿ room.

well located, beach access, parking.
rooms need updating
Location is perfect. Service is good. Bar, Loby, dining room etc. well decorated & maintained.
Rooms are poorly maintained, need upgrade or at least redecoration. We extended our stay for another day & were downgraded to annex buildg. Rooms were very poor. Beds & mattresses should be replaced at once. One could not sleep. Water press was poor.
perfect location! Straight 5min walk from train station & it has a beach front
Beautiful hotel spectacular views excellent location super staff
Shuttle service would be nice given the requirements to get down to the port far far below
Stayed here last week of September in a junior sea view suite. The room was newly renovated, clean and comfortable! The staff were also pleasant and the location was great. We didn’t even mind that the elevator down to the pool/sea was not operational because we enjoyed taking the stairs. My only issue was there seemed to be construction on the floor below us so we had some construction like noise early in the am on a couple of days, which was not ideal. Nonetheless we really enjoyed our stay and had a great time.
Location is brilliant, the best views in Sorrento and amazing breakfast. Staff is very professional and very helpful. Room is beautiful ?. Cannot fault anything.
Nothing, everything is awesome!
The location (close to main square and train station), the staff (friendly and accommodating), rooms were updated and decorated beautifully, the views from property were stunning.
The elevator bumped a bit- we know that work will be done on it as the hotel is now closed for the winter season.
The Grand Europa is conveniently located next to the port and ferry terminal. The hotel is very beautiful with a gorgeous view and is within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The restaurant and bar staff were awesome, we were always greeted with welcoming smiles and good service. The gentleman from Nigeria making the omelettes was a perfectionist and had a kind smile. The houskeeping ladies did a wonderful job on our room and were always smiling too. We had a lovely seaview suite with a tiny terrace which offered a spectacular view.
I was absolutely unaware that the hotel was being remodeled until our first morning at 9:10am when the hammering started and what sounded like a large vacuum every day during our stay. When I inquired at the front desk about the noise above our room, I was met with blank stares from the ladies. They acknowledged the construction and made no apologies nor offered any solution. I would have never booked this property had I known this in advance. I paid over $580+ per night to live in a construction zone and there was zero reaction to my complaint. The front desk customer service is subpar. My room was not a pleasant, quiet place to be during the day. The toilet paper rolls are skimpy at this hotel, we ran out of toilet paper twice during our 5 day stay. There was only one bottle of tobasco sauce that was shared with all the guests - it ran out a few days before we left. Apparently the hotel is closing in a few weeks for the winter so it appears that they were not restocking much. Super irritating as we paid full price and we left feeling like we received different service had we been there during peak season. The daily breakfast buffet was convenient, but it was the same menu every day, it never changed. At this hotel, it is the little things have bothered me most. Customer service is everything and the lack of it from the front desk staff is unacceptable. It was our bad luck staying at this property during this time, the hotel offered zero communication in advance or during our stay regarding the remodeling.
The room is beautiful, and very clean, the bathroom very comfortable the view is amazing, the staff is very friendly and the location is perfect. You can have dinner or enjoy drinks on the Terraza looking at the Vesuvio
There is nothing that I didn't like it
Breakfast was outstanding. The views, breakfasts and hospitality were the best. It is a 5 star hotel.
The staff was wonderful! They were pleasant and helpful. Also, the breakfast was very good! Our room was comfortable and roomy. The shower was excellent. Overall, a perfect experience in a beautiful place!
Breakfast - excellent. I am trying to find a way to spend a couple more days there the end of September. Our stay there made our trip in Italy! I had stayed there many years ago and remember how wonderful the location was. This time we loved the location, our room, breakfast and staff. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace at night with music and a glass of local wine. I will come back!
Property was centrally located.
We arrived late as we had been traveling for 48 hours previously from the US. We got on the elevator and promptly power went out in the hotel - we were stuck in a very small elevator for approximately 30 minutes. Eventually they manually opened elevator so we could get out, however, power went on and off several times for next couple of hours keeping us up well past midnight. I first chalked it up to bad electric infrastructure in Sorrento, however, building engineer told me they have had many problems with power since replacing air conditioning earlier in the year. Regardless, we weren’t offered anything for our inconvenience- not even an apology.
Hotel is fully renovated! Location is fantastic, close to nice restaurants and the port. Staff is nice and polite specially Rafael who welcomed us first and every other day :)
all is good!
Unbelievably amazing location on a cliff right on the Bay of Naples. Great staff. Fancy hotel and you could feel its enduring legacy. Good value for the money.
It was a little worn around the edges and in need of an update.
beautiful viewclose to Sorrento centernice staffscomfort bedSize of the room is quite big
No free parking
Everything was excellent! The room was beautiful as was the view of Mt. Vesuvius! The breakfast buffet was the best we had on our whole trip. I liked the furniture in the room and the marble bathroom. Everything was top notch. Couldn't ask for more.
Not a thing.
