Hotel La Tonnarella

The view was spectacular. The room was very clean and very nice, exceeded my expectations.

Although booking dinner reservations in advance, not allowing us to reserve seats by the railing.

Restaurant staff weren¿t very friendly or helpful the first couple days we were there. Also their private beach was closed by the time we were there in early October

Our room had a big terrace and fantastic view. We also liked that they recommended an excellent tour to Pompeii and Herculium.

The shower was tight.

Tonnarella was absolutely beautiful. It was a little outside of town (about a 15 minute walk) so we had a beautiful view of Marina Grande and the coastline. The private beach was perfect and a beautiful little respite from the heat and bustling city.

Definitely a bigger financial investment than other options in town, but well worth it.

The view from the room was breathtaking, featuring Mount Vesuvius and the coast in a 180° view. Maybe the most beautiful view of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The interior room featured pillars and carvings, very beautiful. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Hotel beach was convenient. Chilly May temperatures, but I did swim in the Bay of Naples.

The room was uncomfortably cold. I asked for more heat, and there was some confusion for about 24 hours until a manager finally confessed that the owner decided not to have heat in the building after the end of April. They did bring me a radiator, but I am of the opinion that the guests should have the right to make the room temperature of their choosing.

We had room number 18 and the views of Sorrento and Mount Vesuvius were incredible! We had a few early tours and it was lovely of the hotel staff to arrange private transport for us to the Amalfi Coast and provide us with some hot americanos for the ride. We loved taking advantage of the included breakfast in the lovely dining room each morning. Also, very nice lunches on the terrace!

Wish pillows were a little firmer, but would still absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful views- beautiful hotel. Quiet and loved being able to park at the hotel! Wonderful breakfast! Staff very friendly and helpful!

The hotel is beautiful, comfortable and spacious, with a great sea view. The personnel is very polite and helpful. On the last day of our trip, we found an injured hawk on the beach front of the hotel and the hotel personnel helped us so much in contacting the competent service to take care of it. We are very grateful for their help, which contributed significantly to the hawk's rescue.

Incredible views from both the room and the breakfast room. Very good breakfast and we also had an excellent dinner.

the location was spectacular and the small intimacy was refreshing we loved the food in the restaurant and the staff was fantastic

the bathroom was a little inconvenient without towel holders/bars and the bathtub would have been better with a stand up shower alternative

Traditional hotel - fantastic views over the river and of Mount Vesuvius. Annalisa, on reception was very kind. From answering all my questions on Booking.com to then upgrading my room, for free, when I got to the hotel. Also, when I asked one of the cleaning operatives where the iron was located - she insisted on ironing my clothes herself.

I would have preferred a proper bathtub.

LaTonarella was our most memorable stay during our trip! It was so charming with beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea and you could see Mt Vesuvius across the water, It was beautiful in the morning. The hotel was so charming in every way from the beautiful decor, which was traditional with beautiful woods and the upholstery was modern and new. There was an elevator and nature walk down to the beach that was indescribably picturesque. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night and it was one of the best meals we enjoyed on our two-week trip. The hotel staff was so helpful with all of our needs. And a great plus was the location. We had a 10 minute walk down into the city center each night. The street was well lit to be able to walk back to the hotel as the sun was setting.
