Grand Hotel Aminta

Really impressed by customer service, cleanliness, breakfast was really exceptional. Room cleaning service left our room spotless every single day. Shuttle service to and from hotel to the center of the city if a huge plus . Highly recommend hotel. I would definitely return.

We were really dissappointed with the taste of food at the restaurant (a la cart for dinner/lunch). Besides the Christmas Eve special menu, all other food was tasteless. Our impression was that the products used were simply low quality. When you pay 30 EUR per meal at such a hotel, you would expect a certain quality of ypur meal. Unfortunately, we heard also other guests complaining about the same. Therefore, -1 point just for the food. You can forgive such things for breakfast menu, which is included in the rate of the room, but not when you pay extra. If not for the heavy rains, we would go every night to the city centre for dinner, of course, as the hotel provides a shuttle bus.

great hotel shuttle to downtown sorrento many shuttle times which helped! the lounge outdoors was nice but a bit of older crowd. Breakfast was good! we checked in very late and the gentlemen working the bar was kind and let us order club sandwiches which were delicious! overall good stay for the price

felt a tiny bit out dated but was good value for the price and location , i was so sad the pool and jacuzzi closed so early as it rained most of the trip and we really didn’t get to use the pool in evenings when it finally was nice so that was disappointing

The view and pool area are incredible. Very attentive and kind staff. Shuttle to Sorrento centre is very useful. Hotel is clean.

Gym opens too late (8:30am), as well as the pool (8am). Very hard to exercise and make it to breakfast (7-10am). Wifi can be a bit unstable. Breakfast was good but we would have appreciated healthier options.

The property was very clean and had a beautiful view of the whole city and the Mediterranean Sea! Lauren at the front desk was fantastic and very gracious!

The parking was very very tight however the staff were very helpful in working through it

Everything! The Hotel is beautiful with breathtaking views! We very much enjoyed a day at the pool and our meals in their dining room. The staff was very professional and the food was delicious. Most especially, I mentioned to our server that it was our daughter's birthday and he did a lovely job making her feel very special our entire meal. I highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel Aminta was very clean and comfortable with beautiful view of the ocean.

This was a very nice property with great views. The concierge was very nice, Lauren was the main person I spoke with and she was very accommodating setting up taxi service for us. The whole staff was very nice. I would stay again if I was planning to stay at the hotel more.

The location was not ideal and spent about $100 in taxis over 3 days since they are located up on the hill and their shuttle service does not start until 9 and closes mid day. I would stay here again but not book any early tours so you can take the shuttle.

As soon as we arrived at Grand Hotel Aminta, the staff greeted us warmly and even allowed us to check in early! The food was absolutely delicious both at breakfast and dinner. The room was fabulous and great value for money. We enjoyed the panoramic bar area and jacuzzi for beautiful sunsets. The pool was also very nice. We got engaged during our stay and the staff left us a beautiful surprise in our room to celebrate. The only small downside, which we knew when booking, was that the hotel was out of town. That being said, the walk down is very manageable and only took 15 to 20 minutes. They also run a shuttle service, which is very reliable. The views from the hotel are well worth staying outside the town. Would highly recommend staying.

FoodThe panorama was magic!

Absolutely beautiful hotel situated in the Sorrento hills. We had a sunset balcony room, which the view was breathtaking. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Our flight was delayed coming out, and they called ahead so we could organise room service as we would miss dinner. Good was delicious. Highly recommend.

The only thing I would point out is the furniture on the balcony kept waking us up at night as it was banging with the wind. We sorted it once we realised, but we were then woken up by are neighbours doing the same thing. Another slight disappointment was we weren't informed of any special nights going on where a pianist comes in.

The location was excellent, with a fabulous cocktail bar. The staff were friendly and very well informed. The room was clean and well presented.

It felt a little old fashioned. The breakfasts were a little samey (little or no variation). That's a small criticism though, as it's a great hotel.

5 star with clifftop view, just wonderful, elegant, Location was great, professional staff. Great food. The whole ambiance was great.

The location over Sorrento is fantastic with breath taking views.Upgraded to a sea view room free of charge without having to ask.

The walls in the villa are a bit thin. It's only a problem if you spend a lot of time in the room.

The hotel is beautiful, room very clean, great restaurant!

Very far from Sorrento best street, they do have a free bus service very hour tho. To use the gym you have to book before, which is not really great, only 1 room per hour. I couldn’t workout because the gym only was open after 8. Receptionists aren’t that friendly also.
