Hotel La Vue d'Or

Location and transport into Sorento. Pool and views were spectacular as we had a sea view above the entrance of the hotel. The staff also accommodated us with another nights stay but had to change rooms.

Could not get a snack in the afternoon and when I asked the waiter for some potato chips he gave me such a look but brought some out to other guests

The overall hotel is very nice and the staff is very helpful! Especially ,Tony in the restaurant and Emanuel at the front desk!

High quality hotel where we had one of the best views ever - overlooking the Naples bay and mount Vesuvius. Staff was very helpful too!

In the hills of Sorrento with beautiful panoramic views. Constant bus service down to the town. Fantastic breakfast Typical of Italian Hotel a little dated but great service and everything else was fantastic

The air conditioning wasn’t the greatest, but it was better than none in July.

Bus back and forth worked well but wish it ran twice an hour to make leaving/coming back easier.

We loved the view & the staff! The hotel is on the top of the hill so we had to take the shuttle to & from the town. The room was very small, it was not comfortable for 3 adults. But the staff was excellent!

The hotel and rooftop views and hospitality are incredible. Sorrento is an amazing place to be, but sitting above it is even better. There were walking paths, convenient shuttle to downtown, the beach and the best staff. Delicious daily breakfast and a clean room. It was a bonus that Napoli beat Calgary and we got to watch hundreds of fireworks all around the bay of Naples. It was the perfect place to start our Amalfi vacation and we can’t wait to go back!

Closed shuttle between 12:00-1500. Had to get taxi 40 euro twice to get to train station Rooms a bit small for 4 people

The view was spectacular.

The breakfast wasn’t good. Eggs soggy, pastry selection could have been better. Presentation not to great. Terrance doors didn’t open from the outside. I got locked in and had to call my husband to open door. Lots of mosquitoes in the room. Room didn’t offer free tea and coffee.

Breakfast bad and made with package foods like egg powder or cakes… no salmon, no variety of foods. Restaurant food: I ordered stuffed peppers. They filling was made of the typical can of green peas and carrots. No usb chargers. Make Sure you bring several adaptors.

Glassware used in the restaurant either for breakfast, lunch, or dinner was very dirty. Some glass used for water and juice in the breakfast has lipstick marks in it.Apart from that the property is decent with a nice view.

This hotel was brilliant we were a group of 7 with children in the group. The staff were amazing and accommodating with our requests and very helpful, it is a relaxing place to be. The food was beautiful and the staff were always smiling and very kind to all of us. We were a group from 6 years old to 70 years old and it suited us all. The view was amazing and we were blessed with the weather. The trip to Capri was beautiful and a great time to spend together. Well organised and gave us time to see the island. The free shuttle service was brilliant into Sorrento itself. The rooms were immaculate, the pool area was clean and the cocktails were good. The kids loved the hot chocolate and the ice cream.
