Hotel Real Colegiata San Isidoro

Good location outside of busy town center but an easy 5 to 10 minute walk to the cathedral and busy bar/restaurant sections. It is a great chance to stay in a centuries old historic building with modern updates in the rooms. Free tour of site each day.

Don´t expect window screens or AC here but no AC needed as it cooled off well at night. We were here in July and slept very well.

A bit expensive

Is an historic building. We had dinner and everything was very good.

The room and bathroom are very small. When you take a bath all the water spills in the floor.

What a gorgeous hotel in central Leon. Similar to the Parador but at a better value. Great location.

Dinner in restaurant, very good. The gated parking was great once we found it, there was a festival in town and we had difficulty finding the entrance to the hotel. Reception very helpful in directing us to the parking.

Good location, the history in the building is incredible, though none of it is shared. The building is part of a church. The bed was comfortable, the room very large and breakfast adequate. Parking was onsite, inside the city walls, google maps will not take you to the exact location.

The front desk staff was not very friendly and seemed preoccupied. Directions to parking were not clear and we ended up driving in circles which was very frustrating. I would not stay there again, hard to get to location by car. Very long walk to the room and lack of information by staff was frustrating.

I was very happy with my stay here - they upgraded my room at checkin!! Although a bit of a walk, I enjoyed the quietness of my room location. The room was spacious and very comfortable. It was a great place to relax after a long day of walking the city.

The location and atmosphere were splendid. The old city is right outside, the Roman Walls and the Cathederal of San Isodoro enclose the hotel. I particularly enjoyed the courtyard for its tranquility. Inside, the furnishings beautiful with many valuable antiques as well as all necessary modern conveniences. Parking was very much appreciated.

The rooms were a bit cramped, but it was worth it to be in such a beautiful, historical setting.

This was the third time we’ve stayed. We love staying in the historic monastery that is now a luxurious hotel. We stayed in a newly renovated wing so everything was new and spacious. We had a view of the inner courtyard. Breakfast was excellent.

We requested 1:00 pm checkin which was accepted. When we arrived we were told room would not be ready until 3:30, which was inconvenient. The hotel did allow us to store our luggage until the room was available.

Fantastic, tastefully modernized convent in the center of Leon. Very comfortable rooms, quiet.

A magnificent establishment in itself, deriving from an old monastry. The enclosed garden space was very peaceful and relaxing. There were some very enjoyable concerts in the evening by singer/guitarist Juan Hedo.

We could not order a coffee or drink at the evening concerts, even though we were residents. There was no bar, nor were there any tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.

The hotel's location was great - right in the heart of the historic area making it easy to explore the city on foot. Loved the view of the cloister and thinking we were living part of that history (which dates back to the 11th century.) Room was very nice and clean.

Dinner was excellent at the hotel, but overpriced.Recommendation: Better instructions as to how to reach the hotel by car. Ignore GPS!

Fantastic location with parking, very comfortable room with crisp sheets and large bathroom. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent.

The breakfast was seriously lacking! The Nespresso machines made weak Americanos, and everyone was battling with them. We had to go elsewhere for good coffee. The eggs were cold. For the price of the hotel it should be better.

Gorgeous renovated hotel in a former monastery. Well-appointed rooms that are comfortable and quiet.

Beautiful property. Room a bit small but very comfortable, clean and maintained. The building is amazing. Very good breakfast buffet and very nice lady who runs it. Right in the middle of where you want to be and the history of the place is incredible.
