    Pros +

    • Great location, beautiful inside with lots of character! Spacious room & bath w/ windows that open to alley below.
    • Location was excellent
    • Charming old building with exposed wooden beams.

    Cons -

    • We had twin beds put together. The mattresses were a bit soft for our liking & desk staff could be more friendly…
    • The blow dryer in the bathroom didn’t work but I had my own. The furniture was too big for the room, the floor squeaked, the guest above walked like an elephant after midnight hours and I had to get up early in the morning to travel. I thought Spain had hours of silence between 22:00 and 8:00 as posted in many places, there should be a sign and Guests in upper floors need to be aware of the heavy walking or talking loudly in late hours. No respect for others and not made aware at the front desk. I have a small pet that is quiet and clean and was read the riot act when I arrived, but he was better behaved then some of the guests.
    • Room 101 is next to the restaurant, so it was quite loud.

Charming old building with exposed wooden beams.

Room 101 is next to the restaurant, so it was quite loud.

The bed were not confortable, we could hear people walking upstairs, but then it is a very old building. Mostly the beds were not good.

The Hotel Posada Regia was incredible. It is situated in a 14th century building and is absolutely incredible in it's charm. They have managed to seamlessly integrate modern wifi/minifridge/television without disturbing the "historic classic look, of exposed brick walls and wooden beam ceilings. Plus their reataurant is excellent. It's location in the "Casco Antiguo" is central to all of Leon, only a few minutes walk from the Cathedral (an absolute "MUST SEE"). The staff was very professional and courteous, and their in house Breakfast was excellent.

There wasn't a single thing I did not like !!!!!

Location is great. The building is nice and cozy. The staff was supportive. Internet worked really well.

Matress could be better. A bit of soundproofing in the doors would be nice, you really can hear people speaking outside like they were talking with you inside the room. Luckily I didn't had noisy tenants during my stay. A water heater would be a great asset.

The hotel is old but charming. Very clean. Room was good, comfy beds, great location. Breakfast was ok.

The room was a little noisy. You could hear people from the streets, and guests coming in and out.

    Excellent location in central Leon

    Very old construction…extremely noisy

I've stayed here several times, the location, staff and facilities are excellent.

    7DonPosted on: 9-11-2025

Location location location, the building retained the great old school charm which I love.

The breakfast wasn’t anything to write home about and the coffee was… ummm.. horrid.. and a rather grumpy receptionist up front wasn’t the greatest to deal with..

Breakfast needs chorizo and huevos cocidos. Too much pastry. Otherwise nice atmosphere

Central location. Walk to train and bus station. Good breakfast.

The whole room is painted in red.

    Location was great.

Both nights private parties booked so noisy and couldn’t use bar or restaurant facilities.Floorboards very creaky and walls very thin so lots if noise transfer from upstairs and next door. Also lots of street noise (hotel can’t control) from people passing shouting and singing late at night.Breakfast was pretty bland - same each day - no choice just rolls, cake, croissant and ham or cheese plus piece of fruit.Staff quite scarce at times.

Excellent location, in a charming old building with a lift, nice staff, great breakfast, a clean room, good amenities..

My bed was a little uncomfortable and being next to the streets a little noisy.

Lovely quirky, traditional Spanish hotel. Good sized room in a great location, right in the heart of the old town. Fabulous location.

The noises from the creaky floor boards throughout the building. Woke us up when people either came into the hotel or got up throughout the night. Also wouldn't serve coffee only. You had to buy full breakfast to get coffee

    Pleasant

Please open the front door for your customers when they ring the bell. I had to wait for 30 minutes before I could check in. That was not a pleasant experience...

Great place. Lots of character, very clean, lovely staff. Only minuses were the creaky floor (but it’s a really old building so it is understandable) and a rubbish breakfast - stay here but done have breakfast here.

It is located in the heart of downtown Leon, very very convenient, to go to the attractions in town. Full of restaurants and shops around. Although it was in a off-peak season, some restaurants maybe closed. The room I stayed at the 3rd floor even has a sky light . Although the building is old, it is equipped with an elevator.
