Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location

I filtered for WiFi, it was unusable even at the reception and non existent in the room. I had ongoing business to conduct back home, which I had to do using the data on my phone. WiFi is cheap and easy nowadays, there is no excuse for not having it, and if you advertise it especially.

Very clean, friendly and beautiful place

The rooms were very clean and spacious, beds and pillows extremely comfortable. The AC was great (with a sleep mode so we could enjoy some fresh nights). The hotel is in an area of Caserta that we did not know and we were happy to discover. Also, this area is much less warm than center of Caserta. There is a large parking nearby that can be used.

To use the hotel swimming pool there is an extra cost! (this is the first time in our lives that we were charged for using the pool of the hotel we have already paid for!) And there are no pool towels (not even for an extra cost). The facilities are old and rusty, the shower in one of the rooms was extremely small and leaking, the walls in our rooms were coming off in the corners.Some of the staff were very friendly while others were cold and almost rude.Restaurant service was very slow and so unfriendly that we did not eat there the other evenings.One of the nights some guests were allowed to have a swim in the pool until 1am making a lot of noise.

The surroundings of Caserta Vecchia makes this a unique place - with the authenticity of a real Italian feel.The owner snd staff are wonderful and friendly, the rooms have lovely air conditioning and cute balconies, the hotel has a beautiful restaurant "Torre Dei Falchi' where the food is incredible - from Wild Boar to Bacala to freshly made deserts!Thoroughly recommend this hotel, it's excellent, we had an amazing time and we will return time and time again!

VERY FRIENDLY owner and Staff!! A comfortable and clean hotel in a charming location. Very close to the Royal Palace at Caserta. The location is in a quiet village above Caserta. The hotel restaurant is very lively and has a varied and very affordable menu.

The drive to the hotel was very challenging, and at times, seemed doubtful.

Shower was a little antiquated.

First and foremost, the people at the hotel were absolutely amazing. Everyone - management, check in, restaurant, maintenance ... just wonderful.The hotel restaurant was superb. Breakfast was great. They make a beautiful orange cake in house and it is wonderful. The coffee? Numero uno. But, breakfast is just a primer. You want dinner here. White table cloths. Wonderful service. Affordable menu and wine. And the food? The flagship of the Italian fleet. When I got up from the table it was a standing ovation.As for location, it is about a 5 minute walk to the village of Casertavecchia. I saw the Captain's Tower from my window. I woke up to the sound of church bells and roosters. And when I stepped outside to look, a team of horses was getting exercised on the street followed by an enthusiastic pony that didn't want to get left behind.I wish you my stay here.Hotel Caserta Antica, grazie mille! We slept one night because we were on our way. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly, especially the lady at the reception. All together excellent

Lovely hotel . Very clean . Helpful staff. Beautiful pool .

This was our fourth time visiting this hotel as we always use it when visiting family in the area . It is clean and quaint and walking into the old town for dinner is very picturesque. There are many restaurants to choose from . There is a supermarket at the bottom of the hill which sells mostly anything you need . Parking can be an issue but we were always able to find somewhere to park . There is also an overflow car park across the road .

People have mentioned being charged to use the pool and we were advised this on check in . This has certainly not been in force on previous visits . However we didn’t end up being charged which was good . The pool was very cold and an automatic pool cleaner runs constantly in the pool so you wouldn’t want to swim anyway in case you get tangled up in the machine or hose ! Breakfast can get a little repetitive but is always beautifully presented . The hosts don’t speak much English so that is where google translate comes in. Some rooms have team making facilities and some don’t . For some inexplicable reason our maid would take our dirty cups away each day and wouldn’t replace them with cleans ones . After two days of having to go ask for cups , we ended up hiding them till she after she cleaned !

Very clean room, a bit outdated but in general OK. Breakfast is the same every day but OK for few days staying.

Excellent hillside location with in walking distance of the small medieval village Fantastic restaurant and pool area with lots of lounging options Staff were helpful from the moment we arrived and went above and beyond!!Highly recommended

Good value for the money. Nice clean room. Has restaurant on site since somewhat isolated location on hill above town.

Breakfast. Pineapple starting to turn brown. Basil not fresh on caprese salad at dinner. Mozzarella tasted off. Bed a little hard.

We liked the proximity and short walk into the old town

We did not appreciate being refused towels to use at the swimming pool.It was a shock being charged to park the car at the hotel.

Great location if you like being in a beautiful country environment. Fantastic setting with lunch or dinner by an inviting pool environment
