The whole hostel and the room is old but the location is unbeatable

There’s no hairdryer in the room I had to ask the front desk every time I need it which is inconvenient

Location is good, staff is very friendly. Room and bathroom were very clean.

No conditioner or ventilator, no kettle or coffee machine in the room.

My colleagues and I stayed at Maycar Hotel for three days. Position was really good to move everywhere.

Needs are nice and clean, but they could do with a bit of updating, maybe some colour on the walls.and nice lighting

The location is perfect for walking around the city and good bus routes nearby. The bed is comfortable and overall is a good value for the price.

Maybe only an issue for people used to sleep with a fan or air conditioner, but it was quite hot in the room. Of course, you can always open the windows but there was road construction plus direct sunshine in the morning so it wasn't ideal for sleeping.

Good size room for the price with comfortable beds.Location is close to the seafront and several bars and restaurants. Carrefours express also very close.A great value hotel.

Street was being dug up, looked like a long term job. Good sound proofing in the room , double glazing and metal shutters.

Location and cleanliness

Exaggerated tobacco smell in the room, especially in the bathroom.

The location was good if you need a place in the center.

The hotel is old and it’s not very clean. They give you plenty of towels but I’d never stay there again…

The location was very good.

It had the feel of a very cheap hotel and lived up to that reputation. Bed wall lamps hanging off the wall. Light switch socket falling apart and potential danger of electric shock. No WiFi. Loud street noise all night even on the 7th floor.

Well, it’s a 2 star hotel. The room smelled like tobacco when we arrived (also the towels in the bedroom) and loads of noise in the morning from the cleaning crew that wake you up if you decide to sleep until a little bit later

Room was comfortable, shower was great and plenty of towels available. All i wanted.

Internet would act up every now and then

As I had recently finished walking the Camino Primitivo, I was looking for a place to rest and relax before returning home. This was a great place which had easy access to the promenade where I walked for hours looking at the sites. The staff was friendly and helpful!

Handy central location. Breakfast included. €13 all day parking available nearby. Basic but quiet and comfortable.

No way to regulate room temperature. Very difficult to regulate shower temperature.

Staying at Hotel Maycar in Corunia was a satisfactory experience, deserving a score of 7/10. On the positive side, the cleanliness stood out significantly. The bedding was fresh, the bathroom well-maintained, and everything was tidied up impeccably for my arrival. Additionally, everything in the room functioned as expected. However, the hotel does show its age in places, but if you're in search of a simple overnight stay, I'd still recommend Hotel Maycar. Cleanliness is paramount, and in that regard, this establishment certainly delivers.

On the flip side, the room felt a tad cramped. The bathroom's lighting left something to be desired, with just a single lamp and no light over the sink, making precise shaving a bit of a challenge.

The staff were outstanding. We overstayed the check out time (2h more) and they still were really nice and understanding. Helped us when we arrived late and the atmosphere in the lobby was just enjoyable.
