the only plus point was good location

Staff generally unhelpful and almost noone spoke any English which is strange for a supposedly 5* hotelRestaurant had large menu but seemingly little was actually available. Not even basics for breakfast, like omlettes or coffeePool looked OK but no comforts for guests using it, no shade from sun no loungers (saw a back room with many dusty loungers piled up)My room was large, had AC but also mosquitosThis is an overpriced hotel which may have been OK once, but has a very neglected ambience. It is defintely not any sort of heritage place, its large & modern but built in the style of a pseudo-palace.

Nice location. Enjoyed walking on the beach and relaxing in the garden. Breakfast was good.

There was no wifi in the room. No arrangement for driver stay. Suitable location too far away.

We took breakfast and an occasional meal in the restaurant, which is run separately from the hotel. The restaurant owner is nice; the kitchen good. The guard of the hotel is a nice outgoing chap, who speaks English - better that the staff who obviously prefer to speak Hindi. The room was large but bland. For the rest there is little to like about the hotel.

There was no hot water in the shower when we arrived late at night. We had to sleep unwashed, and found there were many mosquitos in the room. The following few mornings, too, there was no warm water. Repeatedly, we had to ask the staff to turn it on. One day, warm water arrived so late that we missed hours of our trip to Rajgir and Nalanda. On return that evening we found that the room was not made. Another morning we found a cockroach in the bathroom. When on the last day we got hold of the general manager by telephone (he was not in town all these days), he pooh-poohed our complaints with "you are the only ones complaining". (There were hardly any other guests while we stayed.) We can't call dismissiveness customer care.The name of the hotel is misleading. Notwithstanding its name, we saw in this hotel nothing of Buddhism (in that in Bodh Gaya!) and very little of heritage. In sum, the hotel is hugely overpriced. It is a two or three star accomodation.We hope to forget this unpleasant experience. Bodh Gaya has more attractive hotels. If only we had known.

LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS. Just because this is one of the most expensive places within walking distance from the main temple, do not assume that is it nice.Do NOT eat the breakfast. They dont keep warmers under the food. It sits out, uncovered and not heated all morning. We were there for 7 nights and no one cleaned or event took out the trash. They sent out our laundry and could not locate it for 2 days. When it came back everything was covered in bleach! They said they would give us a discount to cover the cost of the clothes but then when went to check out there was a one hour argument. The manager knew what was going on and refused to take a phone call.

Its a recently renovated place (from what we understood, it was formerly a state govt. run guest house built around a 1893 heritage spot - but no one could explain what heritage they were referring to). Rooms are spacious and reasonably comfortable. Staff is helpful. There is a small restaurant on site.

It was marketed as a 5 star location, which is why we booked the hotel. But it clearly isn’t. Amenities were basic, and should probably be a 3 or 4 star property based on international criteria.

The location is awesome. Just over a kilometer to the Mahabodhi temple. Right next to the Thai temple. My wife went to Bodhgaya on a pilgrimage.Several eateries close by.Moderately priced - great value for money.

the property was rated ***** star category, but sorry to inform there was no amenities in the room and the service/ facilities provided was very poor, even travellers hotel at highway provides better service. it was the worst property I have ever stayed in my life.
