Grand Mercure Goa Candolim - An Accor Hotels

This hotel is not comparable to 3 star hotel , very old,dirty and without any good facilities.

Rooms are spacious and well maintained.....the bathroom is huge and functional...... the view from the rooms are scenic ! We thoroughly enjoyed the sunset & sunrise !

What we carried home with us the most was the hotel's Food experience. It was simply unendingly satisfying - the one thing that will drive us to book Grand Mercure again. The breakfast was simply (over)flowing with a rich variety of cuisines, that just refused to leave our palettes. An unmatched quality overall - both food and the restaurant service - that we have experienced in some of other good 4 star hotels in Goa.The staff was also very courteous and helpful (with a few exceptions).

Our check-in experience. We were first offered a sub-standard room. The staff played with the category of the room we had paid for. It was deluxe king with a balcony view, but what we were offered was a deluxe room with a balcony that was > 95% covered by a partition to the entry to the reception area. Whats the point of a balcony that blocks even the sunlight, forget the ventilation and the view!! When asked, the receptionist defended saying that this is the only deluxe category they have - despite showing her all my room details (pics + facilities) that Booking.com promised while selecting our options. Thankfully, another receptionist, Ms. Akshita came to our rescue, with the a bit better room option. She even offered us compensation by allowing us to switch to an upgraded room but after 2 days, once it was vacated. But my concern in the first place is why discretion. It was clearly a discrimination on the hotel's part that they seemed to allot us the worse rooms first until we argued for the better ones. We selected the rooms based on what was put up on Booking.com options. So either it should be the hotel or it should be Booking.com to be held responsible for such discrete treatment of guests. We were moved from one room to another, despite telling the hotel that we had come from far off, had been driving for more than 11 hours and were too exhausted to run between rooms. Not acceptable.In-room amenities Upkeep of certain amenities in the room seemed to be lacking. For instance, some of the bath facilities of the 2nd room had to be attended by a plumber after we moved in. A proactive quality check would have been much appreciated.

Nothing Special.

Room we were allotted was bang opposite the reception area with no view and since the time of checkin bathroom was stinking everyday like a public toilet and even after requesting the hotel staff for changing the room no action was taken.

We didn’t get the room we booked . We struggled and after one and half day we got the room ?

stay was not good we booked 2 rooms they assigned 1 room which was for disabled person

Rooms were good, staff were friendly.

Delayed my room by 3 hours. I got the room at 6 pm instead of 3 pm. Cleanliness of pool was questionable. Bathtub was leaking and there were issues with hot water in the bathroom.

Cleanliness, friendly staff, not over crowded . The staff in the restaurant were excellent. Maneesh in particular. He really looked after us along with Rudraskh

Staff behavior, breakfast options.

Pool are was under maintenance. Property was on the hill, and pre booked taxis are not allowed by local taxi mafias so guests suffer. Needs to be fixed asap.I had to go down hill with literally dragging my bags down (staff was helpful) to go to the taxi i pre booked with taxi company.

Breakfast was delicious. They had a lot of variety: from Continental to Indian to even Goan cuisine. The room was quite spacious and had all necessary amenities. The plunge pool was the best part and the sunset view was just mesmerizing.

Someone entered our room while we were out (we noticed a plate with sweets on the table). We did not request any room service. It would've been professional to inform us prior to entering our room.

Service was exceptional food was good Arun and Pandurang helped a lot in housekeeping reception was fast in check in and out valet was good coordinator Tejasvi was verry good

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

Wonderful Staff : very attentive, efficient and helpful. Food : great selection at breakfast.Beautiful property with great amenities. Love the private plunge pool with gorgeous view. Would highly recommend.
