    Pros +

    • On the positive side, the breakfast was enjoyable with a decent variety of options, and the service from the staff, especially the breakfast crew, was friendly and attentive.
    • It was nice having a balcony in our room. It overlooked a bit of the Rhine. Breakfast was good...and it was a quick spot to get to our destination.
    • The View.Breakfast.Comfortable and clean mattress.

    Cons -

    • The cleanliness of the room and common areas left something to be desired. While not terrible, it didn't meet the level of cleanliness I would expect from a hotel in this price range. With some improvements in housekeeping, this could be a much better stay.
    • The room was very basic. The staff was nonchalant. Everything was fine. It's a basic accomodation.
    • Smell of the lobby; Thin walls and no sound insulation at all.Loud train passing by late at night and early in the morning.Single staff serving on Sunday with very limited English. No restaurant to eat at, and the snack served at the hotel lobby not quite defrosted!Poorly lit bathroom with a floral toilet seat not allowing you to judge the cleanliness.Minibar offered, but was empty. No towels in the room so I had to walk to the lobby (on the street) and carry a bundle back.If you have limited mobility, this property does not have elevators.

The breakfast was superb. The staff was so nice & our room was comfy & really almost perfect.

The only downside is that the hotel is very close to the train tracks but it’s quite a quiet train & even with our window slanted it didn’t bother us. We merely noticed it.

A bit pricey, one staff not motivated but clean room and good breakfast.

Few services in the area and the pillows were too large and lumpy. For the price charged, they should exchange the current bed pillows for large down ones.

Location is not far from train station. Comfortable bed and has balcony. Breakfast buffet has many choices.

Bad smell in the bathroom. Our curtain couldn't close so we needed to ask 2 times to staff then they could fix it on the second day of our stay. In the night, you can hear the trains due to the hotel being located beside the railway.

    Close to the river Mosel

Noisy - could hear other guests in their rooms

Location was great, close to the railway station. Our room had a great view. Breakfast was outstanding with plenty of options.

Very nice room in a cute village along the Mosel. Nice breakfast buffet with good choice of food and plenty to eat, included with room price. Excellent bed. Watercooker in the room with tea and coffe provided for free. Really good value for money.

We really enjoyed our stay @ Mikes Mosel Lodge. Location is nice, very friendly staff, its close to a train station, but it did not bother us at all. The balcony is nice + ?

We booked a room with bath, but was not available. Owner came up with a good solution for us ?

Beautiful location, pretty building, comfy beds and great shower

Arrived about 8:30 to a Luke warm welcome as he hadn’t checked his bookingsHad a couple of beers after a 500 mile journey but the last one at 9:30 was basically while being pushed out of the door so he could lock up.

Lovely quiet location and great bar, very good breakfast

There isn't much parking, and the nearby carpark isn't that big

The breakfast, as posted on your website, was very good indeed. Konny, in reception (and everywhere else it seems) was quite delightful. Helpful, full of information and constantly cheerful. We came in difficult circumstances as our car had broken down very seriously in Sabershausen, but our feathers were rapidly "unruffled" by the cheerful and combined ministrations of Mike and Konny. The place radiated an air of efficient informality and we would definitely stay there again if we are in the Upper Mosel again. Given our car situation, the proximity of the Karden railway Station (350 m.) was a bonus.

I would be had pushed to find anything.

The hotel is very close to Cochem, by car it takes 10 minutes. The hotel and its area are very quiet and chill. Our room was quite big and clean. There was no AC in the room but we did not need it. Due to very clean air, you sleep very well, especially when you keep the window open :) The bathroom was old, actually kind of vintage but it was not a problem for me because it was super clean. It is more important for me. The open buffet breakfast was very good and enough, the bacon was very tasty! Also the staff was very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

Not crowded, clean, good breakfast, free parking. All in all, meet expectations as B&B

I expected lounge “local” guest house as artificial building, but in real life we’ve got a room in another building nearby (St.-Castor-Straße 43). It was ugly outside, however pretty clean and comfortable inside, so overall it was good experience. But still hotel photos are misleading… kindly note it is in the middle of nowhere and i’m fine with it as i don’t like crowded places, however i would advice everyone to get some food with you in advance! We’ve found just one restaurant opened on Saturday evening, the rest were rather drinking places with snacks.

Clean and comfortable room! Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. Garage for bike storage.

    9GabrielaPosted on: 5-5-2023

The room was very clean and nice (although it was a bit outdated). We had everything needed. we thought that it will be very noisy because of the trains but it was no so bad and we slept very well. There were no trains during the night. We really liked the breakfast ?. The price was very reasonable, as well. We will come back if in the region.

It would be nice if they renovate the rooms but that was not something that will stop us from coming back and we are really happy with our stay.
