Acheron Springs-Markou Ilias

We were settled at their new hotel next door, The Mark. Wonderful and the view of the river is spectacular. The hotel staff were very helpful and kind.

The only thing that concerned me was the shower. It is a beautiful design without an enclosure and a floor drain. Simple, clean and elegant. The only issue was that the floor around the shower area also got wet - and slippery. We moved around carefully.

The cleaning lady, who welcomed us was very polite and friendly. The location is very good.

The facilities are old and neglected. The bathroom is too small and all equipment is broken.

The location is perfect, the view is stunning. All activities are easily accessiable. The mattresses are very comfortable, we had a good sleep.

The AC did not work, the kitchen equipped on very low level.

standard of the eqipment and furniture. old and part of it not working e.g. one plate of the heater. also missing kitchen utensils to prepare breakfast. Missing sun shield on the balcony even for breakfast it gets pretty hot without any shade.

Nice, spacious room with a view to river Acheron.Many and tasty breakfast selections.Hostess Panagiota is a great person, friendly and polite, always willing to help and solve immediately any problems that may appear with professional way. She is a talented person, with great communication skills and committed to her work.

It should be described under the hotel description that the restaurant is located to a nearby location to the hotel and not onsite. Nevertheless, it is in a magnificent location on the banks of the river Acheron.

The hostess was the most hospitable hostess till date. We arrived late due to a late ferry, she came to the hotel for us and after that, even cooked us a meal in her restaurant that she opened up just for us two after it had actually closed 15 minutes before that.Besides that the room was great, they had great info about the Acheron river and the breakfast (which was served in het restaurant every day) was very great. (And a lot)

Only downside I can think of is that the shower is rather small, especially if you're a large person.

the staff is super friendly, the help when ever they can and have good food, in a nice environment, its family run business and are all involved, last but not least make sure you say hello to Max, the hotel mascot dog.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The scenery is amazing. Definitely will return.
