Hotel Armando' s

The location was convenient, quiet area and 10 minutes to the city center. Street parking always available. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful and they had great breakfast in the morning. The room had a very good air-conditioning, which was nice in the summer. We used this location as our base in Abruzzo, which allowed us to do daily trips without having to keep packing and hoping in different hotels. We use to go to Gelateria Di Silvio, one of our best gelatos we had in this trip. The city also has great restaurants with fair price.

There is nothing that we didn't like. Everything was according or better than we expected.

No elevator to get to the 3rd floor.

The hotel was well signed when driving down the road. The breakfast was plentiful. Nice landscaping. The balcony was an extra touch.

Not easy to park. Taxis not really available. Elevator only goes to 2nd floor, 3rd floor is walkup.

Silvia was extremely helpful in booking our group of 8 dinner reservations and the food was excellent! The staff also was accommodating on our early arrival by taking our luggage and helped us with taxis and bus schedules. The hotel is an older building and there are not a lot of amenities (as expected for a 3 star hotel) but it was very clean, beds were comfortable and the layout and space was perfect for our group of 8. Many in our group enjoyed this hotel more than the 4-star places we stayed in Sorrento and Rome! We would definitely go back.

There was no public bathroom in the main lobby and the hotel is located a little further from city center than others making it harder for my older mother to walk to town.

Air conditioning was blessing as temp in Sulmona exceeded 95 degrees. Breakfast was abundant and service excellent

Elevator only goes up to second floor (there are three floors in total). Parking is available, but a bit tricky.

A cute hotel a little outside the center of town. the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable. the elevator made it easy to get our bags to the room. There was also an excellent breakfast, and the staff took precautions, serving breakfast rather than having a buffet to reduce the impact of Covid. it was a short walk in to the old town and all the restaurants and the market (Wednesdays and Saturdays)

Parking was street parking and somewhat limited, so could have been. problem if we moved the car around during our stay. The room was a little small, but I suspect if we wanted to pay more we could have had a larger room.
