Pros +
- Centrally located
- Breakfast was a great variaty, many types of meat, cheese and sandwiches. The room was cosey and offered what you can expect. The location is in the center, to park your car you need to go through a narrow port.
- The location in the center in perfect
Cons -
- 1. When we arrived I was told the parking area was not available. The concierge claimed he didn’t know why. Turns out they leased the entire parking area to some Oldtimer car club for the weekend. Only parking was two hour intervals for the first day and it was fend for yourself. The dude was very gruff.2. Had to wait 15 minutes for the concierge to come to the desk.3. First night AC did not work in room. Complained and they claimed they fixed it. Second night a little better. Third night, broken again.4. room was not cleaned even though I dropped off the room clean ticket on time 5. Will never stay there again - not worth it
- I booked online trough booking.com (ofcourse). When I wanted to check in, around 18ish, I was told there were issues with the computer and or network. The employees told me they could not log in and therefore I could not go into the room. I had travelled over 800 km on my motorbike and was tired, hungry and thirsty. I had paid for the room but could not enter it, probably because the staff could not see which room was reserved for me.When asked how long it would take, I was told that they dont know, nothing we can do, come back later and sorry. At first I could not have dinner there either because the restaurant was fully booked, though about 1/3 was filled up. I asume the rest was reserves for later which is fair enough, but when a solo guest who can't enter their room due to a hotel error asks for dinner, Maybe try to host them.I checked three restaurants in town, open according to Google, but they were closed. Came back to the hotel and was seated for dinner. The system was not working still, so no checking in. I was told someone would be there in 30 minutes to figure it out and indeed; 30 minutes later I was able to check in.I don't blame the staff, but it would have been nice of dinner or even a beer was on the house, as an apology for the delay. Or maybe offer to put away my luggage so I don't have to walk around with it.
- This is a very big hotel. There are two parts, one part in the front, and there is a bridge connecting to the other part of the hotel. They put us in the back of the hotel, so that means we had to cross the bridge. At night time, it can get really loud with dogs barking everywhere. You have to keep your window closed, and there are people walking around making loud noises. We paid to park our car in the garage, but the garage was always full. They should have a certain number of cars that can park in the garage.

The hotel is very nice, very clean, and the people working there are always friendly. The restaurant was really good. The cooks make everything really fresh. The food is really good. Breakfast was great. You have a choice of all kinds of meats. There are fresh waffles that you can make, and everything just looked really fresh and good. If you order a cocktail, be careful. The cocktails are really strong. This is a good thing. You know you’re getting your money’s worth. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The only thing I would suggest is to try to get a room in the front of the hotel, not the back.

Location is good. The breakfast was good too.
The hotel receptionist was not customer friendly. Couldn't speak English well. The room was on the attic floor and very old and outdated. The room had a sloping ceiling where it was almost impossible to stand if you are tall. The shower and sink were for this reason also not comfortable. The tap was leaking so you could hear dripping all the time at night. Also the room smelled terribly.
Oschatz is a lovely little place and the property is right in the centre. It's a nice building, especially with all the ripe grapes hanging from it -- gorgeous! It has parking available. It was perfect for us at that moment (after a week at a festival we just wanted a bed and a shower), so great value for money.
Limited restaurant opening hours. The beds were quite soft. Bathroom floor was wet after shower although I closed the cabin doors. Small tv. The parking gate is narrow and you have to walk up a stairs and through quite a long tunnel/bridge to get to the annex building. As far as I know there was no way to enter/leave the annex building on the street side. Bathroom lay-out could be more efficient.
The breakfast was Nice but expensive. We had dinner in the resturant and it was very good. Nice location with restaurants, shops an outdoor swimming pool nearby. The room where big and spacious, and you could put in a extra bed.
Its good to know that some rooms have aircondition and fridge and some rooms have not.
The hotel is just off the square so a lovely location and a short stroll to explore the area. There is a restaurant on the veranda for food and drinks. Great selection at breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly. Lots of off street parking - secure behind a gate.Great value for bed and breakfast.
The main hotel is lovely. The second part of the hotel is over a skywalk (feels like you are boarding a plane) which turns into a long, windowless corridor with lots of doors coming off. It was a hot day so the room was quite stuffy and overlooked the car park - which to be fair was quiet.
Awesome Inn with a lot of history. Beautiful location and beautiful place. Great beds. Nice traversal to the new building from the main building.
The hotel was very nice and located right at the central place. I would like to thank the lady at the reception for excellent service and help. Big thanks when she came to open the central door at night after dinner, because I left the key in the room. Nice rooms, dining area and good breakfast.
Not precise infor when booking. I booked the hotel because there was the elevator in the building and a possibity of dinner at the hotel - I was travelling with my mother who cannot do the stairs and walk much. It turned out that the room I booked is in another building and not in the main building and that was not really clear to me during the booking. The room was then changed to the main building - thanks for this. Information when booking specified a possibiity of dinner in the hotel - it also turned out that on Sundays (as our booking) this is not an option.
good location and very quiet area; breakfast was very good
clerk at the desk did not speak English; luckily my wife and daughter speak German
Good
No dinner was available, even though I was a hotel guest, having arrived after a considerable trip
+ nice location for one night+ nicely arranged and clean beds
- we had booked a single large bed and did get two single small beds- the reception was not at level you would expectparking was complicated and we got wrong instructions, actually we spent 15min finding the entrance... despite the fact we had asked for instructions we had not received them- we had pre-booked dinner overall a very very simple dinner with cold crepes at the end, it was 3 course and it did take very long for the kitchen to deliver the simple food+ some compensation by providing free drinks
The location of the hotel was very good. There are many shops and restaurants close to the hotel. The value for money at this hotel is also very good.
The rooms can seem a little old fashioned. However considering the value for money, this is not a major issue.
