    • Nice location. Friendly staff

    Cons -

    • Bathtub, too close to road
    • We booked some treatment months in advance and this was cancelled short term due to lack of personal. We wanted a complete wellness weekend and this wasn´t as planned
    • Bathroom too dark. One of the lightbulbs didn't work and nor did the hairdryer. There was no lightbulb in the bedside lamp.

Nice location if are into hiking and enjoying the nature around, otherwise it’s quite remote from the civilisation. Good breakfast and very good dinners. Two swimming pools and sauna area. Not crowded, mainly pensioners there.

Staff don’t speak English (only few of them), not very helpful and caring - the was a road repair work that completely blocked one side of the road and nobody notified us when we were leaving for a day trip. As a result we spent extra 2 hours for driving back with a 5 months baby! It was very annoying and stressful. When we came back , our room door was locked and we waited another 40 minutes to be able to get into the room. The was no compensation suggested from the hotel for these inconveniences (like free dinner for example).Stupid rule about the fitness room - it’s closed at 8 p.m. Nobody was able to explain why. Why can’t a person make exercise after dinner before slip? Water! It smells, ok, they put everywhere notes with explanation that it comes from swamps but it’s actually good. Not a word about if you can drink it or not! Normally in Germany you can drink tap water. If this one is not drinking water, then the hotel should provide unlimited access to the drinking one , like bottles on the floor or water coolers.

    Terrible

Choice of food on the menu, rude staff, waiting over an hour to get a drink. Bar opening times ridiculous. Not worth the money they charge at all

    8AndyPosted on: 8-19-2024

The location is exceptional and the spa-faciliies perfect.

The matresses are worn and the restaurant service was rude sometimes, but this is probable due to the lack of staff. The bar was closed altogether due to the staff problem.

    6MariaPosted on: 7-23-2024

The facilities were excellent including the gym. Very good breakfast.

I could not stand a stinky smell in the reception/bar. Difficult to communicate if one does not speak German. Cleaning of the room was not properly done…We were moved from our fixed table without being informed.

Great facilities, location and the spa! The staff was very friendly!

    9NicolaPosted on: 11-25-2023

The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff were professional. Fantastic varieties of saunas and gym equipment are available. There is also an interior and exterior pool. A good breakfast is provided, with the possibility to enjoy the view while eating. It's great if you want to spend a couple of days chilling out after hiking. The view was fair, although it depends on the balcony orientation.

Some staff members responsible for breakfast seemed stressed and preoccupied rather than being customer-oriented. I had to wait for 20 minutes with a plate in my hand without knowing where to sit. However, in the end, I appreciated how they made themselves available to talk and resolved the misunderstanding.

This is a German Hotel. If you do not speak or read German, you will need Google Translate. Otherwise, it is a lovely stop in the black forest. We would stay there again. It is something to be aware of.though.

    10MichaelPosted on: 9-5-2023

Location is superb, over 1,000 mts up in the Black Forest with views that were sublime. Two pools and wellness center what’s not to like! Thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay. Will return.

Excellent place. We arrived after 9 pm, rather hungry, but there one in the restaurant who provided us a satisfactory meal. We are going to recommend this hotel

Beautiful mountain top location, good trails immediately nearby.

    Still under active construction.

    9VegardPosted on: 6-9-2023

lovely hotel with amazing views and wonderful surroundings. staff were highly attentive and service minded

    10AndréPosted on: 1-29-2023

Wonderful location, the views and the surroundings are amazing, especially during winter time. The hotel is very comfortable, our room was very spacious, nice bathroom. There's too much light coming from the windows in the morning, but since breakfast is until 10h30, that's ok. The staff was very friendly, especially the lady during our check-in and the gentleman that served us during dinner, as they both spoke in English with us, which was great. They were also extremely polite and welcoming.Very pleased with our stay!

The indoor-pool's water could be warmer and we were told we could get a parking spot, but we only saw outdoor places (which may get filled quickly?...). Since it wasn't snowing, that was ok, but we would prefer a closed garage. That, and too much light in our room in the morning, were the only (very) minor setbacks.

This was not my first stay in a 4*S spa hotel so I knew what I could expect. The rooms and restaurant are nice, the spa area is even beautiful and all the staff was nice.

The food was very disappointing - convenience, low quality, no choice and you even have to get it yourself like in a canteen. In case of a desert buffet this would be understandable but not for one sweet thing. Same for the starter. And I would like to see more decorative efforts and other nice little things. Not a single candle in the whole spa hotel ...no welcome sweet nor fruit in the room. For me this was definitely the first and last time in this hotel because there are so many spas around. Other guests who knew the hotel from the past said the same. Food is an important part of a spa weekend. Think about it!

excellent location friendly staff and amazing food. very relaxing atmosphere and great value for money

only that standard rooms are next to the highway and are a bit too noisy at the night and mornings.
