Hotel Smart Cruise

There wasn't much for breakfast, we actually had to go out for breakfast on both days. Location was good for the cruise ship, but far from the train to take to Rome.

The hospitality was fantastic.

The staff were fantastic and very attentive , the overall area was a little sketchy but very accessible to the port. The rooms and hotel itself were very clean .

The neighborhood itself seemed a little rundown But appeared to be safe and friendly during the day . There was an abundance of graffiti around the area which just gave the appearance that the evenings might be questionable.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and modern.

Location, staff, and accessibility were fantastic.

Perfect location if you are taking a cruise !! Only a few minutes walk to the port shuttle bus. The hotel offered a shuttle service that picked us up at the airport, toured Rome and dropped us off at the hotel. Best decision for us

Room was very clean and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Complimentary water, wine, and soft drinks was a nice touch.

A bit unsettling to not have someone on-site at all times. Breakfast was basically non-existent.

Everything was perfect. 9 of us stayed here pre cruise. The place was spotless and the beds were comfortable. It was within walking distance to stores, restaurants as well as the shuttle that takes you to the cruise ship. Thomas the Manager was wonderful as well as our driver Ramses who picked us up at the airport and took us to the hotel.

This is not a full service hotel. No food or restaurant service. It is still a good hotel to stay prior to cruise.

Cleanliness and close to port

No one to give recommendations for dinner etc. but kinda figured it all out!

The staff was amazing. Starting with the shuttle from Rome airport to the hotel, the drive was scenic and smooth. Once at the hotel, check-in was easy, and the room was clean and roomy. The air conditioning was perfect, and the staff was very helpful and customer-focused. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. Luca suggested a dinner location, made the reservations, and the dinner was amazing! Walking back to the hotel, Ramasee, who was leaving for another pickup, stopped the van and asked if the group would like a ride back to the hotel —no charge! It is the best customer service we have experienced from any hotel in the U.S. A perfect hotel to stay prior to your cruise. We had a party of nine, and everyone enjoyed the Hotel Smart Cruise, Thomas, and the staff. I highly recommend Hotel Smart Cruise!

Very clean! Comfortable beds, great rooms and the location is just 4 min walking from the port bus shuttle.

The walls can be thin, we heard a lot of noice when someone was passing outside.

The hotel is very convenient to the cruise port shuttle stop. The staff was helpful. The room decor is very plain, but perfectly functional.

To be close to the cruise shuttle stop, the hotel is necessarily a fair hike from the restaurants on the waterfront.

Perfect location at the port city. Walkable to multiple restaurants and sights. Transportation from Rome to port city was timely and driver was great on filling us in on the area.The hotel was modern and extremely clean. Very knowledgeable staff who went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect and every need met.

Great, updated hotel steps from public transportation to the port. The hotel also offers transfers to and from Rome and Rome airports as well as transportation directly to your cruise ship for 10 Euros per person. The property manager, Thomas, was exceptional when it came to communication and our pick ups, drops offs and check ins were super easy. There's a fabulous local pizza place right on the corner and other restaurants and grocery stores within easy walking distance. It's about a mile from the center of town, but we picked this hotel strictly for the convenience to the cruise port, so that was our priority. Plus, most of the hotels in town are much older and not updated. Hotel Smart Cruise is clean and freshly decorated. Beds were very comfortable. Our room (#8) had a steam shower and was a great size. This would definitely be my choice if I had to take a cruise out of Civitavecchia again. Also, Raphaela (who picked us up at our hotel in Rome) for the long (1 hour+) drive to Hotel Smart Cruise was a very safe driver.

Breakfast - too little and no variety for 2 days

Quiet location, good for short time stay, the pizza restaurant nearby is excellent, visitors should try this place out to know how good the Italian pizza is all about. Thanks.
